Offering practical answers to complex questions in qualitative research design

Providing students in applied social and behavioral science disciplines with invaluable guidance on developing and successfully defending qualitative research proposals, the Fifth Edition of this bestselling text offers expanded coverage of ethics, data analysis, and research design techniques. The authors include updates to popular features, such as vignettes that illustrate the methodological challenges today's qualitative researcher face.

This was a clear and insightful textbook assigned in a qualitative studies class I took. I will likely reference it many times as I navigate writing proposals especially with a dissertation in mind.

A very rich and informative guide to design qualitative research. I read this book a few months before starting with my thesis. I used this book as a personal reference to guide me with the research part of my thesis. I recommend this book for university students.

Nice that it includes critical theory and many alternating viewpoints on how one might choose to design a qualitative proposal.
