Phwoar!!! The life story and principles of live of Philip Mantofa is an eye opener. A biography of a man who was extremely violent to a man whose only desire is to be close to God.
There are interviews with those who are close to the Pastor -- his wife, father, mother, brothers and fellow Pastors at Mawar Sharon Church. In addition, Pastor Philip also shares his account in the book.
Riveting story. However the narration could be better. While reading the book, it is sometimes hard to distinguish when the writer is writing as an observer and when she writes as the first person of her subject.
Nonetheless, the gist of the story comes through. Inspiring for Christians who are sincerely seeking God.

Saya biasanya lebih memilih untuk membaca buku non biografi, tapi buku ini benar-benar memberkati. Bagaimana Tuhan membawa Pak Philip dari gelap, kemudian perjalanan menuju urapan dan panggilan, kehidupan rumah tangga dan pelayanan.
Saya melihat sosok gembala yang patut ditiru. Benar-benar menyentuh dan membangkitkan semangat untuk juga berjalan dalam panggilan.
