The Bears are having a family reunion, and all their relatives are invited. The tree house is ready, the tables are set, and the fun is about to start. Beginning readers will feel like part of the family with this charming verse book from the much-loved Berenstains.
Stan and Jan Berenstain (often called The Berenstains) were American writers and illustrators best known for creating the children's book series the Berenstain Bears. Their son Mike Berenstain joined them as a creative team in the late 1980s.
Classic Berenstain Bears! The illustrations are the typical for this series. Old school. Family get together and rhyming. Will definitely check out more from Stan and Jan B.
This book follows the bear family as they have a family reunion, where the family meets many new relatives. This book is a good book that the students are able to connect with since they all have families and have made connections with others outside of their immediate family. This is what is occurring in the book.

Not the worst BB book I've read, but I was really expecting better. The whole extended family shows up, each in a rather odd way, for a day of reunion. The couplets all rhyme, which may have limited the ability to have an interesting story.
i think as a kid i read all these books, now as an adult i enjoy picking them up again, through KU. wish it was sized better though??! i loved it ...great illustrations. like i always say i am reading through KU ...but the illustrations are only in the middle of the book, kindle screen so it really makes them quite small. wish the took up the full screen. must read if you are reading a real hand held book.
Fun book!!! The way a family reunion ought to go!!! Bundles of incredible food, affection, quality time, and fresh air add to the joy of the event. Love, joy, and peace dominate the event.
The Berenstain Bears are having a family reunion. They make sure they have enough room for everyone to park their vehicles, they have a sound system set up and they make sure they have enough honey so their family members will feel welcome.
I think this is a good book for Kindergarteners or first graders. The way this book flowed and rhymed it almost reminded me of a Dr Seuss book, which I think makes it easier for children to read and follow along.
I would incorporate this book when we would talk about families.
Berenstain, Stan, Jan Berenstain, and Mike Berenstain. The Berenstain Bears' family reunion. New York, NY: HarperCollins Publishers, 2009. Print.
This was fun book. The story about the family reunion is told entirely in rhyme, which is something that almost any child will enjoy. It is a simplistic story but as a level one reader this is to be expected. If your child has enjoyed the Berenstain Bears' animated series, then give them this book to read.
