Police scientist Barry Allen was struck by lightning at the same moment he was doused in chemicals in his laboratory. Instead of scarring or killing him, this freak accident gave Barry a new life as the Flash, the fastest man alive. This hardcover volume features classic Silver Age stories, faithfully recolored and restored, that take the Scarlet Speedster on adventures protecting the streets of Central City and battling villains around the world.

I started this book six months ago. Eventually, I couldn't even look at it without shaking in revulsion, but after months of rehab, I came back to finish what I started.

My thoughts... It burns! It burns!!

Flash meets up with his Earth-2 counterpart while battling Capt Cold, the Trickster, Mirror Master, aliens, and more! Plus, Green Lantern guest stars, while Kid Flash learns a lesson about bigotry and later teams with Elongated Man to fight the Weather Wizard.

Great silver age stories by Broome, Infantino, Giella, and occasionally Fox. Always amazed at how the writers came up with ways for Flash to get out of various traps, and Infantino's artistic description thereof.
