I learned what sex was from this novel. No joke. It was my older sister's book and I would sneak it out of her bedroom to read it when I was around 10 years old. Needless to say, as the years have gone on I've graduated to much more naughty romance novels, but this one was enjoyable in a nostalgic way. Classic boy-meets-girl and distrusts her from the get-go story. It was kind of reminiscent of Gone With The Wind in setting and characters. So if you love Civil War romances, this is a good one.

This story had everything. Firstly, it doesn't copy other books that I have read, it stood alone and full of descriptions, adventure, realism, and devotion.
Page after page, I was held captive to what was to occur next.
This author knows how to keep the reader captivated. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience of that old exciting time.

Atlanta by Sara Orwig is the final in the trilogy about the O’Brien men and the women they love. It is an excellent book.
Claire Duncan is on the run with Michael who is now 6. She took him from the orphanage her father had placed him in and is now raising him as her own. She has to take a series of menial jobs to support them but never has she any use for men. Fortune O’Brien is looking for Michael. Michael is his son who was stolen from his wife on her deathbed. He cares nothing about the woman who has his son, just his son. He wants to get to him before Mr. Wenger does. Wenger is Michael’s grandfather.
From Natchez to New Orleans to Atlanta and Savannah, the action continues with the O’Briens. Will all end well?

This was by far my favorite book in the Civil War Saga by Sara Orwig. This book had the best storyline and the most authentic characters. They were easy to relate and feel connected to.

The pace of the book was great. No time to get bored or wonder how much longer till the end. I didn't realize I had read so much of the book until I stopped to take a break. I was amazed to discover I had read almost half the book. The book was just so easy to get and stay interested in.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good historical romance to read.

It's a good romance as romance novels go. I only read romance on very rare occasions, maybe one every couple of years. I don't know what caught my eye about this one. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It actually had a good plot and pretty well developed characters. I probably won't be reading another for a couple of years.

The last in the series. All took place during the civil war or after. A good read for those who like Historical Romance.
