Faking love with your brother’s gorgeous best mate is never going to end well…
I’ve had a crush on Titus Oates since I was sixteen. We met at my brother’s twenty-first birthday party. I asked Titus to kiss me, thinking he’d give me a peck on the cheek. Instead, he kissed the living daylights out of me. I was so young that it never came to anything. But I thought about him a lot. Eventually I moved to the UK. I didn’t think I’d ever see Titus again.
And then he calls and says he’s in London.
He wants me to be his fake date for the weekend. He needs to impress a wealthy investor. The guy lives in a stately home and is throwing a lavish event. Thrilled to see Titus again, I don’t hesitate to say yes.
The trouble begins when my ex turns up while I’m talking to Titus on the phone. Titus drives all night across the country to make sure I’m all right. When he stays in my cottage to keep me safe, it’s clear there’s still something between us. And then, when we arrive at the stately home, we discover we’re sharing a room.
It takes no time for our sizzling chemistry to turn faking love into making love.
Titus is going back to New Zealand after his visit. And I work in the UK. We can’t possibly have a future together. But a short-term fling seems like a great idea.
Until it’s time to part…

Contains no cheating, no cliffhangers, just a scorching romance and a heart-melting HEA :-) Tropes fake relationship, one room, one bed, brother’s best mate, best mate’s little sis, fling, second chance, alpha hero, billionaire
USA Today bestselling author Serenity Woods writes feel-good romances full of friends, family, and falling in love. Most of her stories are set in Godzone, aka Aotearoa New Zealand, where she lives.
It's Oliver Huxley's 21st birthday party, where his best bud Titus Oates and 16 year old little sister, Heidi, steal a kiss in the garden.Fast forward two decades.
Titus stands founder and CEO of a hugely successful tech company involved in artificial intelligence. Heidi has moved half the world away to England, escaping a
tormenting relationship with her father and now happily teaches kindergarten. Titus has traveled to the UK in pursuit of possible funding for his company's promising work in AI aided IVF. Still close friends, Oliver asks Titus to check on Heidi as she is dealing with recent breakup. Titus accidentally overhears a confrontation between Heidi and her ex. Fearing for her safety he heads to her home. A surprised Heidi offers him her guest room for the night …… and real story begins.
As things play out, the two are thrown together and discover that the long ago spark is now a roaring flame. But can love triumph over time (he's only there a few weeks), distance (UK to New Zealand) and complicated family dynamics (he has daddy issues, too)? You'll just have to read the book to see. I received an advance reader copy of this book. This is my voluntary and honest review.
This third episode in the Wellington billionaire series is another good one. We catch up with the circle of friends and family from the first two stories and are privy to the love story of Heidi and Titus. This sweet couple, who have a connection, a spark, going back several years that never had a chance to ignite....until now. They find each other where she's living in England, half a world away from his New Zealand home. How to overcome the distance, his friend being her brother, business issues and family drama? Its a sweet and sexy love story and a great adventure, with lots of descriptions of England and it's rich history that make you feel like you're there. We also enjoy a nice visit to Lake Tekapo in New Zealand and a HEA. Win win !
I am a fan of this authors work, under all her pen names, and have yet to be disappointed. That is why I am an ARC reader.
I very graciously got sent an ARC so I could review this book early.
This is my favourite of the Auckland Billionaires trilogy, hands down. I liked Mack and Sidnie - and I really enjoyed being introduced into this series. I was okay with Elizabeth and Huxley, mostly because I had issues with Elizabeth - but OHMYGOSH I LOVE TITUS AND HEIDI!
Titus is the Viking look-alike from the friends group, and if you remember, he was the one sent to England instead of Elizabeth when she got pregnant. And a good thing, too, because he can reconnect with Heidi - Hux's younger sister - who he kissed back when she was just sixteen and the spark had been laying dormant since. It ballooned completely and started a raging inferno, but what I enjoyed about this story the most is just how REAL it is, around every single corner.
We have romantic relationships and their issues, personal relationships and their issues, familial relationships and their issues (slight TW for domestic abuse and just parents being irritatingly obnoxious throughout), and overall, neither Titus nor Heidi go hysterical. Especially Heidi. I have this thing with my romantic heroines where I just can't once they start being unreasonable, don't communicate well (or at all) and blame everything on the poor schmuck who I wonder why he even stays with them to begin with.
Now, given that Heidi lives in the UK and Titus in New Zealand, you can probably imagine some of what these two have to face together - but let me tell you, the time they ARE together is just perfection. And I love it even more because Titus fits in so well where she's currently at, and manages to make everything seem so easy. Plus, the supporting cast, particularly those introduced in the UK, are stellar, and just what both Heidi and Titus need to get through their obstacles, imagined or real.
Obviously, the story has a happily ever after, and with almost 500 pages I DARE you to not cry at least one time, maybe more. I sniffled quite a bit.
Ms Woods is hitting the ball out of the park with this new series, and I can't wait for the Wellington billionaires promised to come our way. Her writing, as always, remains a delight, her characters have heart and personality, and the issues she addresses are very real, very present, and incredibly important to keep coming back to, because they aren't going away.
Domestic abuse in any way, shape or form is no joke. We need to be mindful about it, and we need to make strides towards changes.
But if you want to escape a little bit, and thoroughly enjoy the undeniable attraction and chemistry slowly blossoming into love between Heidi and Titus, then I urge you to pick this one up. It has everything - romance, friendship, awesome side characters, wonderful resolutions (of which some need work, but that's how it is IRL, so), the beauty of the English countryside coupled with the stunning vista of New Zealand.
Above all else, what I think this book does so well is make its characters relatable. They're afraid, they cry, they're angry, they want to do something, but they follow their better judgement (most of the time, anyway). They may be characters on a page, but they're a lot like you and I, really.
This is definitely one that I'm absolutely getting in printed form once I can get my grubby little hands on it.
I love this couple! Every time I read one of Serenity Woods' books, I think I've read about my favorite pair but this one takes the cake! Titus and Heidi are such a lovely couple. Titus is sweet and clumsy, shy but professional and Heidi is warm, straightforward and damaged. They knew each other as kids but their first kiss as adults after denying themelves, just wow! I knew at the end of Huxley and Elizabeth's story that Titus and Heidi were going to be something special and Woods did not dissapoint.
As with all of Serenity Woods' books, Faking Love with the Billionaire flows effortlessly with such an easy conversational tone. I loved how I can easily picture the scenes she paints with her words. Woods' words teach without being stodgy and at the same time snag your heart. I cannot wait to see what is in store for Saxon and Catie with a C! I received an ARC in return for an honest review
Strange how an encounter in one's teens can leave us wishing for more. I think Titus and Heidi are star crossed lovers, just meant to be. In the end, he’s her hero. The importance of recognizing partner and parental abuse and how true love can triumph is key in this story. Making life changing decisions for love is tantamount. The description of Mt Cook Big Sky Stargazing has me intrigued.
OMG, this book, was like a rollercoaster of emotion. I loved it so much. A brothers best friend romance, with a little forced proximity as well.
This book follows on from the last, where Elizabeth, now with Hux, doesn’t want to go to England for their research investors, so Titus goes. Heidi, Hux's little sister, lives in England and has always been a little in love with Titus, ever since they kissed when she was 16. Titus asks Heidi to come with him to meet with the investors for a weekend and when there is some confusion, the two end up pretending to be a couple.
This has to be my favourite of this series so far. I loved both Heidi and Titus. The story blew me away. While it touches on some dark subjects, it was written so well. I laughed, cried and swooned. I cannot recommend this book enough.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Not for me this one I found it so boring way too much description , I was excited about these two characters but what a let down especially after enjoying Oliver and Elizabeth story
This is a lovely story. Heidi has been attracted to Titus since she was sixteen, but he was five years older, and she was his best friend’s daughter. Time has moved on, Heidi in now twenty-four, she now lives in Devon and is a schoolteacher. She has been in what she realises is an abusive relationship, and Jason will not accept that their relationship is over, he keeps contacting her.
Out of the blue Titus messages her, asking her to join in a Zoom conversation that evening, he is in London on business. He owns a very successful Technology/Research business in New Zealand. Her brother Huxley is getting married and she is flying back to New Zealand for the wedding, she assumes Titus want to talk about that. While they are talking there is a knock on her door, so she tells Titus she will phone him back, however she doesn’t shut her laptop down properly, and he hears all of her distressing conversation with Jason. So what does a white Knight do? He quickly hires a car and rushes down to Devon to rescue her! Of course, Heidi has slayed the dragon, for now, but as Titus is due to spend the weekend in Devon anyway, he tells her he needs her to join him for the weekend as it is assumed he will have a plus-one, so he stays in the spare room in her cottage, and they spend a couple of days sightseeing, and getting to know one another. They know there is no point in getting involved despite their obvious attraction, Heidi is not going to leave Devon, and Titus doesn’t want to leave New Zealand, even though the Company he is in discussion with want him in England for at least two years, to run the Research programme they are setting up.
They set off for the weekend house-party, and it is assumed that are a couple, and given the lodge cottage to stay in, a beautiful one-bedroom house beside the river. They should have made their relationship clear sooner, now it seems a bit too late! Over the weekend their romance deepens and so does their knowledge about each other, neither have had the charmed life they have assumed. After their very successful weekend they just have a couple of days before they both return to New Zealand.
Once in New Zealand demons are faced, not necessarily by Heidi or Titus, but problems get resolved, and forgiveness is in order. The story has a lovely, very sweet ending, very well worth reading. You can easily read it as a stand-alone. Another excellent story by Serenity!
Faking Love with the Billionaire Boss by Serenity Woods, book three in her A Boss in a Billion series, is a fun and heartwarming story of a teenage crush that matures. This is Heidi Huxley, Oliver’s little sister, and Lawrence (Titus) Oates’ story. Titus, the Viking look-alike from the friends group, is in England to negotiate an investment deal with a company interested in his research using AI to improve the success rate for IVF. He contacts Heidi, Hux's younger sister and totally off-limits, to accompany him to a country house weekend put on by the CEO of the company interested in his research. Later, while on a zoom call with her when her ex turns up and pressures her. Titus, being protective, is concerned about Heidi's ex harassing her, so he quickly travels to Devon to help. Heidi offers her spare bedroom to Titus and takes him on a wonderful historic and scenic tour of Devon for a couple of days before his meeting with the investors. As they travel, their friendship deepens. Due to a mistaken assumption of their investor host, they are given sleeping quarters to share. They try to resist changing their relationship from strictly friends to lovers, but the spark that began with an unforgettable kiss years before ignites the flame of attraction between them.
As the love between Heidi and Titus grows, they fear the heartbreak of knowing that it might never work. Heidi didn’t want to leave her life in England, which she loved. Titus couldn't leave his business, family and friends in New Zealand. In addition, these two needed come to terms with the demons affecting their lives. There is a serious theme of controlling men, whether a boyfriend who is obsessed and stalking, or fathers who try to control their adult children's lives.
Ms. Woods wrote a wonderful, emotional, sizzling hot story with the magic of love that should not be missed. She writes knowledgeably about the British countryside, the history, myths and legends. I highly recommend Faking Love with the Billionaire Boss to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Serenity Woods could write a telephone directory and make it romantic but this book goes straight to the back of the net, every girl should have a Titus in her life. It started with a smoldering kiss that nearly knocked sixteen year old Heidi Huxley off her feet, she had teased her brothers best friend, Lawrence (Titus) Oates, at her brother Oliver's birthday party....it was a kiss that neither of them would forget. Now twenty five year old, Heidi had left her native New Zealand and is living in a quaint village in Devon, England, she loves her life there, she loves England and she loves her job teaching primary school children. Titus is now a billionaire boss of a very successful company doing ground breaking research into fertility, he has come to England in order to get backing from a prestigious British company and inevitably he and Heidi meet up, the attraction is still there in spades and soon the sparks start flying, both of them know that this is a mistake, they live on opposite sides of the world but the temptation was too much, they were both facing having their hearts torn out. This story follows the blossoming love between Heidi and Titus, the heartbreak of knowing that it could never work, she couldn't leave the life in England that she loved, he couldn't leave his business, family and friends in New Zealand, the demons that they both had to fight, Heidi her controlling father with anger issues, Titus his pushy parents and father who, choose how much Titus had achieved in his life, it was never enough, the fact that Heidi was his best friends brother and had just come out of a disastrous relationship, I must admit that I was an emotional wreck by the end of the book but I absolutely loved every word. Serenity Woods creates such wonderful characters and she writes so knowledgeably about the British countryside, the history, myths and legends, I have spend many happy holidays in Devon and by the time I had finished this book I just wanted to get into my car and drive back there. A well deserved Five stars.
I have read all three of "The Auckland Billionaires" and this was definitely my favorite. Titus was not mentioned a lot in the first two books of the series, so I wasn't sure what to expect. He is a friend of the other two billionaires, Mack and Huxley from the first two books. He is a self made billionaire who has a strained relationship with his father. Titus has created an AI method to help couples conceive through IVF and his company has been given an enormous investment from a company in England. The catch: he must go to England for at least two years to work with the donating company. Meanwhile, Heidi, Huxley's younger sister, left home and moved to England to pursue her dream of teaching and to get away from her own strained relationship with her father. As a friend to her brother, Titus promises Huxley that he will look in on Heidi while visiting England. Heidi is grateful for the company but soon realizes she still has some unresolved feelings for Titus that are left over from her first ever kiss when she was sixteen. Woods goes on to create a wonderful story that spans two continents. If you have read her books, you know that Woods always writes incredible descriptions of New Zealand. The scenes are so vivid you can easily imagine what life is like there. She has done the same magic with her depictions of England. It makes the story so much more interesting when you can picture holding hands on a cobblestone street, or walking side by side through a thousand year old church. I loved the historical facts she added as Heidi showed Titus around England: "This knight has one leg crossed over the other. That means he fought in the Holy Land." This was terrific addition to the series and as I said, my favorite of the three. Titus and Heidi are both very likable characters - ones you assume will get together but ones you cheer for nevertheless. The secondary characters are perfectly added to the story and help create an overall fabulous book. I would highly recommend this story. I received an ARC for an honest review.
FAKING LOVE WITH THE BILLIONAIRE BOSS is a standalone read with a happy ending. There are colorful words along with some sexy scenes if that is an issue for you. The story is set mostly in England, a small village in Devon, Briarton. This is where Heidi lives. She is 25, single and a primary school teacher. She lives in a small cottage near the school. She loves her job, her village, her cottage and her life. She is very happy in England and has no plans to ever return to New Zealand where her bully and controlling father still lives.
At 16 she teased her brother's best mate, Titus, to kiss her. So the 20 year old did just that. It was a kiss that will eventually change their lives. But it has been many years since she has seen or heard from him. He has quite the reputation for the ladies so it is not likely he would ever seriously look at a school teacher. However, she is surprised when she receives a phone call from him, discovers he is in England and he needs a favor.
An investor is considering putting money into Titus' firm and he has invited Titus to a week-end party at his home. (a mansion). Titus doesn't want to go alone so he invites Heidi to go with him, as friends of course. But some how a misunderstanding occurs and the host thinks they are a couple. Then things take a turn for the better.
This is a fun, but sometimes serious read. It is very entertaining as soon as Sir Richard enters the story. It is one of those stories where you wonder what the characters are doing weeks after finishing the book. You will want more. It is a fun read and I highly recommend it.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 3/8/2023.
Despite the title, he's not her boss and they're not really faking it.
Titus and Heidi have known each other for a long time but these days she lives in England and he lives in New Zealand. He's researching the use of artificial intelligence in IVF and he's been offered a chance to work with investors based in England. When he comes to check it out he reconnects with Heidi. She's a teacher and her job has nothing to do with his company. The investors think they're a couple so there are a few white lies but it's not far from the truth. Their holiday fling quickly turns into something more. Titus treats her well and puts her first in and out of bed so it's easy for her to fall in love with him. Geography is the biggest barrier to their relationship: one of them would have to move if they want to live on the same continent. They both have issues with their fathers' behavior and Heidi has had an emotionally abusive ex but these things don't drive a wedge between Titus and Heidi.
At times this felt a little slow but I liked the characters because they are good people. In the beginning it seemed like it was shaping up to be one of those annoying bro-code things because Titus worried about what Huxley would think about him dating Heidi. But Huxley never made it a thing and Titus got over it too so that was good. Because after freeing herself of a controlling father and a controlling ex, the last thing Heidi needed was a controlling brother trying to decide who she could date.
Series status: you could read it as a stand-alone but previous characters show up and there are some references to events in other stories. Steam level: several scenes of vanilla sex. Angst level was pretty low for me. There are references to abuse, infertility and other issues but it wasn't written as a tear-jerker. I received a free copy and this is a voluntary review.
Faking Love with the Billionaire by Serenity Woods The Auckland Billionaires/A Boss in a Billion #3
Love, LOVE, L-O-VE this author and series – enjoyed this one and can’t wait for the next…will it be Saxon or perhaps how Evie and Victoria find one another?
What I liked: * Heidi Rose Huxley: youngest sibling, from New Zealand moved to teach in England, has backstory issues to deal with, teacher of young entry level students, happy, thriving in England, loving, kind, loves history, difficult relationship with her father, had a Titus smooch to remember at sixteen * Lawrence “Titus” Oates: wealthy, only child, on the cutting edge of artificial intelligence science, internationally known, humble, unassuming, has a difficult relationship with his father, a planner and problem solver who gets what he wants, BFF with Heidi’s brother Hux * The plot, pacing, story, and flow of the story * The connection between Heidi and Titus…and the slow burn that sizzled, steamed, and then ignited * The communication between Titus and Heidi that was mature and the lack of angst and drama they managed to avoid * The fun of going on balloon rides, visiting historical sites, learning more about IVF, weddings in spectacular sites, and so more * Finding out how previous characters from the series are doing * Meeting Saxon…I think this is his first mention…maybe not…and hoping he will get a book of his own * Knowing that there will be another book in the series * All of it really…except…
What I didn’t like: * Who and what I was meant not to like * Thinking about controlling, abusive and domineering men whoever they might be
Did I enjoy this book? Yes Would I read more in this series? Yes
Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.
So she kissed him at her brother's 21st birthday party when she was 16. That was it, end of story, they went their separate ways, having contact maybe five or six times in the past eight years. They live on opposite sides of the world, he just happens to come to her side on a business trip, and follows up on her brother's request to check on her. And then the fun and games begin! Titus and Heidi, are suddenly en route to their HEA, instalove eight years in the making.
Titus and Heidi's reunion is crazy cool, and gives them both a little jolt of “what if,” immediately followed by the scripts running in both their heads: we live on opposite sides of the world, she's Hux's sister/he's Oliver's friend, I am too busy and work 20 hours a day/I am just a primary school teacher/I just/she just got out of a relationship with a jerk, etc.
And then they go off to a country house, as friends, to help Titus win an investment for his and Elizabeth's companies. (Elizabeth is Heidi's sister-in-law and Titus' friend Hux's wife and his partner in a joint venture to use AI in IVF.)
Yet each time they acknowledge this impediments to a relationship, either alone or together, they just keep on agreeing it won't work, yet keep on being together. All their interactions, actions, and reactions are wonderfully crafted by Serenity Woods, who once again comes up with a superb love story that makes you cry, from sorrow and anger as well as joy. Heidi has gone through so much by herself, even though she is part of a solid family, except for … Read this book and enjoy the way both Titus and Heidi heal each other with strength and love. I received an ARC of this book--my unbiased review is--IT WAS WONDERFUL!
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it.
Make no mistake, there is no faking love going on here. In her typical style, the author formats her book in individual chapters which are each written in one of the main characters' voices. We start with Heidi and learn of her teenage crush on Lawrence Oates aka Silas her brother's best mate. Oliver and Silas are 4 years her senior, so Silas stays in her mind as they go off to university.
When they are reacquainted several years later, one thing leads to another and Heidi ends up on a plane to Britain with Silas. Silas' accommodations go sideways and Heidi invites Silas to camp out in her spare room. Then they go to the investor's weekend where they are thrown into the position of sharing the estate's carriage house. Soon their walls collapse, and it's game on!
The rest is magic.
I read the book in one sitting (with appropriate necessary breaks). I am hopeless when I get my hands on a good book. "Let me just read the first chapter before I go to sleep ..." Sometimes I fall asleep before I finish the chapter. Other times I'm still reading in the morning and deciding as each chapter passes whether to sleep or to continue to read.
I'm not encouraging or condoning driving oneself into sleep deprivation, but I am now retired. I've raised my children and helped to raise my grandchildren. I'm permitting myself to lose myself in a good book when the need to recharge my love battery occurs.

Faking Love With The Billionaire Boss Auckland Billionaires #3 Serenity Woods ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Who would have thought faking live could be so fun, so hot and sooo real. The very loveable Titus and sweetheart Heidi have a long past. As his best friend’s little sister and the man who popped her kissing cherry as a teenager, hearing from him while she’s in England, Heidi’s heart beats very fast, and when she sets eyes on the giant, those girly ways come rubbing back,
Titus is heading up a new research in corporation with an UK investor, but he needs a fake girlfriend for a weekend stay. Asking Heidi seems easy until the pair share instant chemistry. It’s not long until that chemistry is to hard to ignore and they give into their feelings. Quickly discovering that a weekend isn’t long enough, Titus and Heidi take that step that may ruin his friendship back in New Zealand, but one he will never regret. Heidi is now his top priority, but the never ending voice saying that his life is in NZ and hers is in UK brings more questions.
Returning home, Heidi’s past returns full force, facing her father, her brother and those demons may just destroy what they’ve created. What she doesn’t know Titus has his own demons and a plan to change their lives. Heidi’s all in, meaning another billionaire bachelor bites the dust…
I love these stories and serenity’s writing and characters are fantastic.
Serenity Woods is such a good writer, which is why I have read 60 of her books. Faking Love is a fun, sexy and refreshing story of a teenage crush that matures. Titus is in England and looks up his best friend's little sister, so she's definitely off limits. But the spark that started with a kiss years before threatens to ignite into passion. There is plenty of fun banter and flirting here and the sexual tension builds to a peak. But there is also a serious theme of controlling men, whether it is a boyfriend who is obsessed and stalking, or fathers who try to control their adult children's lives. The couple take a wonderful trip around Devon, England and it felt like a luxury vacation full of history and sightseeing. it was a nice escape from winter. I will definitely have to go there. Serenity has her feet in both England and New Zealand and her love for both countries shines as the characters vacillate between where to live. This story is steamy too with lots of pent-up passion. Their romance is seemingly impossible but Serenity is also the Queen of Happy Endings so don't despair! And there is also all the luxury, food, drink and activities that only a billionaire can provide, along with visits from the other great characters in the Billionaire series. But this book stands alone so you don't have to read the others, but you will want to.
At her brother's 21st birthday party, 16 year old Heidi Huxley asked one of his best mates, Titus, to kiss her. He obliged. Unknown to him, it was her first kiss. She hadn't had as much as a peck on the cheek from a boy before. She was floored when he French kissed her. After the kiss, she was sure they were destined to be together. He was her Prince Charming. Alas, he didn't have the same feeling. Or so she thought...
Two years ago, Heidi moved from New Zealand to England. She especially likes being away from her father and loves England. She's a history buff and loves all the historical sites that are all around her. Her cottage even has beams from the Armada and a coffin roof. She's a Year Zero teacher for 5 year olds for their year between nursery and before Year One.
Titus (Lawrence) Oates is gaining interest world wide for his development of Artificial Intelligence (AI). He's now working with others to use AI as an aid in the field of IVF.
Titus has come to England in hopes of getting funding for his work. Alan Woodridge of Acheron Pharmaceuticals is very interested in funding the project. All of his daughters have fertility problems. But he wants Titus to stay in England for at least 2 years to get the project up and running . Titus doesn't want to move, he wants to stay in New Zealand.
Titus asks Heidi to accompany him to a weekend party being hosted by Alan and his wife, Vicky. Thinking they're a couple, they're given the gatekeepers cottage and it only has 1 bed.
Some day her prince will come. Has that day arrived? Meanwhile her ex just won't move on. Both Heidi and Titus heave problems with their fathers. A new business venture is in the works. And how can this romance work when they don't even live in the same hemisphere!
The description of the English countryside is so interesting. Ms. Wood has a knack to bring history to life and make it interesting, not just battles or dates to memorize. Several times I jotted down notes of places or things I wanted to learn more about. Yet these mini lessons didn't distract me from the story.
I received a free ARC of this book from the author via BookFunnel. I am voluntarily leaving this review.
What a great read - I can't imagine Serenity Woods writing a bad book. As usual, her character development has depth and it's a pleasure getting to know the stars of the books - and this time it's Heidi and Titus, and set in Devon - a bonus!
Heidi is the little sister of Oliver, Titus's best friend, who he kissed when she was 16 and he was 21. Their eventual fate was sealed. Fast forward and a move to England for Heidi to escape an overbearing father. Titus has business interests in Devon and needs a plus one for a corporate entertaining weekend so asks Heidi to join him and well... you can guess the rest. However, it's not straightforward as Heidi lives in Devon and Titus lives on the other side of the world in New Zealand and has his own critical father to deal with.
Love is meant to be for this pair and with the support of friends and family they find a way to work it out. A great read and it brought a tear to my eye on more than one occasion. It doesn't shy away from potentially emotive subjects such as domestic abuse and control - not just the father's but Heidi's previous relationship. They are dealt with compassionately and cover things I am sure a lot of us can relate to which gives another layer of excellence to this story.
I received a free ARC of this book from the author and I am voluntarily leaving this review.
I really enjoyed the first two books in this series but Heidi and Titis takes the A Boss in a Billion Series to another level. I was captivated from the first page and there was no putting down until the final word had been read, in fact I wanted more from this couple and that’s a sure sign up I have just read a very special story. Heidi has moved to the UK to pursue her career and she didn’t expect to bump into anyone from New Zealand especially her brother Hux’s best friend Titus. But it seems fate had other plans and they find themselves spending a lot of time together, she should be off limits but Titus finds himself drawn to the woman who is like a breath of fresh air. Problem is she lives in the UK and he lives in New Zealand so can they overcome distance …..one click to find out. I loved everything about this read, it touched me on so many levels, I swooned, I sighed but more importantly I found myself cheering Heidi and Titus on. This journey is rocky at times but it has the perfect mix of love, passion and romance and it’s a perfect addition to the series. Once again Ms Woods has given us a read that will appeal to all romance lovers.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book.
First up, this is a stand alone with a HEA. It is a part of a series but they can be read in any order which is a plus.
This story starts long in the past when 16 year old Heidi asks her brother's mate Titus (friend to those who don't understand UK English) for a kiss. Titus has no clue that he is Heidi's first kiss. Time passes on and life has happened. Heidi has moved away from En Zed and gone away to England. She has her reasons for this but she is happy as a teacher to young children in a small village in England. Until one night when she gets a phone call from a person she never really expected to hear from again.
Titus is in England hoping to secure some funding for medical research his company in En Zed was close to having a break though in. The research would help women who struggled to get pregnant. But there is a catch, Titus doesn't want to go on his own so he decides to reach out and invite Heidi. The pair meet up in England and meet the billionaire who seems to think they are a couple. And that the donor wants Titus to come and live in England for two years to complete the research.
Apparently there is a spark that still lingers from that long ago kiss and Titus and Heidi start to explore their feelings and realize that they have fallen in love.
This is a book that I savored rather than rushing through it. There were so many things that I love about it. I love Heidi and Titus and how their relationship develops. Due to living on opposite of the worlds and Titus being best friends with Heidi's brother, they resist for a long time changing their relationship from strictly friends to lovers. When Titus is concerned about Heidi's ex harassing her, he quickly travels to Devon to help. Heidi offers her spare bedroom to Titus and takes him on a wonderful historic and scenic tour of Devon for a couple of days before his meeting with the investors. As they travel, their friendship deepens. Due to a mistaken assumption of their investor host, they are given sleeping quarters to share. While there are steamy scenes, there is nothing gratuitous about them. Trevor is a hardworking sweet and honorable man. Heidi is a warm-hearted woman who helps lighten Trevor's life. I also like how the author dealt with problem family relationships. I received a free copy of this ebook from the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review.
5 Star of Faking Love With The Billionaire Boss (A Boss in a Billion #2) by Serenity Woods
From the first chapter to the last I was invested in the story that Ms. Woods. It was an entertaining, well written story with characters whose story you cannot help but be drawn into.
There were equal amounts if passion, heat and romance with characters who I related to. Titis ticked all my boxes, such a dynamic, clever, caring and totally swoon worthy man I fell for him hard and fast. Heidi, Hux’s younger sister should be off limits and yet there is something about her that calls to him. However since she lives in the UK and he loves in New Zealand, nothing can come of it or can it? They have a rocky journey ahead and yet they are both determined to overcome the issues placed in their way.
I loved Heidi, she could certainly hold her own, give as good as she got and the banter between them was witty and entertaining. There were moments whilst reading that I was brought to tears but I get going and found myself captivated with their story.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book.
This book is a delightful read. I have enjoyed the previous books in this series but this one was even better. Titus is over in England to negotiate an investment deal with a company interested in his research into using AI to improve the success rate for IVF. He contacts Heidi, the sister of his good friend and was in a zoom call with her when her ex turns up and pressures her. Titus decides he needs to check on her and drives through the night to check on her. Heidi persuades him to take a few days off to sightsee. They are both trying to ignore the attraction between them but this gets more difficult when Titus invites Heidi to accompany him to a country house weekend put on by the CEO trying to attract him to England.
I loved this book and the main characters. I laughed frequently at some of the lines and I was impressed with how Serenity dealt with how both characters had fathers who bullied them.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book.

Heidi moved to England to get away from her controlling father. Titus is visiting the country to meet with a potential investor. Nine years ago they shared an explosive kiss, but they were too young for it to go any further.
Now they they share a house for a few days. Their holiday only fling seems doomed from the start. Or is it?
I loved the easy banter between Heidi and Titus. The supporting characters are believable and lovable. Even though there's a theme of controlling men running through the book, it isn't overpowering and doesn't drag the story down.
This is definitely one for your bookcase, whether it be virtual or an actual paperback. Serenity's hit it out of the ballpark with the final installment of the Auckland Billionaires. Luckily she's already working on the first of the Wellington Billionaire book so the wait won't be too long!
I was kindly given an Advance Reader's Copy of this book to review. This review is entirely my own opinion.

Where do I begin? Serenity Woods has written another stellar story. She amazes me with her wealth of knowledge when she writes. This is a wonderful love story of Titus and Heidi, but it is so much more.
Titus is a computer genius working with an AI program on IVF fertility issues. He's in London on business and runs into Heidi, who is the little sister of his best friend. Heidi has crushed on Titus since she was sixteen. They strike up a relationship that moves them across the world.
In between their getting to know one another, the author uses Heidi to take us on a sightseeing trip that is a delightful travel log of England. The authors description is amazingly beautiful and I feel like I was seeing everything that was described.
There is so much depth of emotion to the main characters and their passion for one another sets the pages flaming. Titus is a man any woman would die for. Mmmmm.
There are new friendships, love, a wedding, family conflict, and a story you won't want to put down. Thank you Serenity for your best writing yet.
Faking Love with the Billionaire Boss has it all. Sweetness and steam, levity and seriousness.
Titus Oates and Heidi Huxley have know each other through Heidi's brother for almost a decade. They shared a steamy kiss when Heidi was 16 and Titus was nearly five years older. Nothing came afterward, but they saw each other socially on occasion until Heidi moved to the UK to teach. In the UK for a business trip, Titus is constantly working. He's abroad to secure funding for an important fertility study, but his days are jam-packed with conferences and speeches. Yet Titus drops everything to check on Heidi when a video call doesn't disconnect and he overhears her ex causing trouble at her home. Heidi is shaken and welcomes the care and solace of a friend.
Titus had already requested Heidi accompany him to meet his potential investor, but after arriving to her place and seeing the state of her, he asks to stick around. The crush Heidi's had since their only kiss hasn't diminished and Titus has always found Heidi bright and captivating. The both agree even a short-term fling is a bad idea, since Titus is returning to New Zealand and Heidi has no plans to move back anytime soon. But can they really resist this long-simmering chemistry?
What wonderful main characters! Both smart and caring individuals, but have had a somewhat difficult relationship with parents. There were so many scenes where we could see them standing up for other people in their lives, but feeling unsure if they deserved the same. Neither was weak or acted like a doormat, but just feeling like you can't rock the boat for yourself when your loved ones are also onboard.
I loved seeing Heidi and Titus get to know each other again and gain more confidence and strength because of it.
