About the author

BARBARA MCCAULEY is the author of over 30 best-selling romance novels, including "Blackhawk's Sweet Revenge," the first volume of her popular SECRETS! series for Silhouette. Her work has been nominated eight times by the Romance Writers of America ® for Best Short Contemporary in the prestigious RITA contest. She has also received numerous "Top Picks" from Romantic Times magazine, plus several Best Short Desire and "W.I.S.H." awards for her hunky heroes, and two Career Achievement Awards. A native of Southern California, Ms. McCauley enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and working in her garden when she can manage to break away from her computer. Hmm, I guess the "magic" is gone... I really liked the first books in the 'Secrets!' series, but I had to struggle through 'In Blackhawk´s Bed' and, after two tries, I´m finally giving up on 'That Blackhawk Bride'. When I found myself speed reading, skipping pages and reading the end without any desire to go back, I knew it was time to quit this book. It´s not a "bad" book, it´s just not interesting enough to hold my attention.

Eh, a category romance. Never really clear why the people did what they did, but hey, then they wound up in bed. I know that's kind of the point, but I just couldn't work up the energy to care.
