Lyam Gerard is my mortal enemy…. And the father of my unborn baby.
I should have known he was a monster when I betrayed him. I should have realized that in the ruthless world of the mafia, my actions would be met with punishment. But I fell for the wounded bad boy who knew just what I craved.
Now, I am his possession, and he’s determined to make me pay for my sins…
On my knees. Bent over his desk. Tied to his bed.
I shouldn’t want this—shouldn’t want him —yet part of me yearns to submit to his dark, depraved demands.
But in Lyam’s world, loyalty is everything. And when he uncovers the truth I’ve been hiding all along, I know that will be the end of us…
Because it will be the end of me...
Please This is a dark, anti-hero romance with elements of violence and consensual non-consent. Please read at your discretion.
This is a fully stand-alone novel in the Masters of Corsica series
Fueled by dark chocolate and even darker coffee, USA Today bestselling author Jane Henry writes what she loves to read – character-driven, unputdownable romance featuring dominant alpha males and the powerful heroines who bring them to their knees. She’s believed in the power of love and romance since Belle won over the beast, and finally decided to write love stories of her own.
The story is the third in the Masters of Corsica series. The story is a mystery with suspense, secrets, danger, and romance. The two main characters will be Lyam Gerrard and Cosette Fildeuroux. Because these three stories are ongoing situations, it is best if they are read in their written order—too much happens in the two previous stories, Own Me and Master Me, and continues the saga in Possess Me.
After the attack on Savannah, which nearly cost her not only her life, but that of her baby, the Gerrard me are angry—how dare someone attack them in their own club—much less cross a Gerrard. When Lyam learns it is none other than Cossette that has betrayed them, he has her brought to him where he plans to punish her—maybe even take her life. The only thing stopping him is learning and confirming that she is pregnant with his baby.
The story is full of mystery, suspense, danger, action, and adventure. The good, the bad, and the evil are all players in this game of cat and mouse. Someone is after the Gerrard family, playing them up to the public as the villains when in fact, this person is the evilest of all.
The truth isn’t forthcoming immediately—or at least not all of it. This story is full of secrets, deceit, past sins, and dirty deeds. Cossette is a victim in many ways—and now she is the prisoner of Lyam. What will happen when Lyam learns the truth of the past? Whom will he believe? Why isn’t Cossette telling him everything he needs to know? But isn’t he just as guilty of keeping secrets?
“You have to trust me.”
“Mercy and justice go hand in hand. In my family, we focus on justice first. Loyalty. And mercy’s rare but sometimes necessary.”
Lyam is haunted by nightmares from the time he was held captive—and rarely sleeps. But with Cossette, he finds peace for small fragments of time. But those moments are few and far in between. Just when he thinks he can trust her—a new fact comes to the surface. Has Cossette played the Gerrards? Is she working with their enemy? Could she bring more harm to them? Or is she the one being used as a pawn in this game?
The chemistry is evident between Lyam and Cossette—and when they are intimate, they sizzle. But there are still issues of trust—and that plays a critical role in their relationship. Will they find their happily ever after?
Such a thrilling experience. The storyline of Lyam and Cosette are quite the couple. She has sinned against the Gerard family. The dangers they face and the absolute terror at times that Cosette doesn’t know which way to turn. Lyam on the other hand knows exactly what he wants. The family. The Chemistry between these two is Legendary. This is not a standalone, although you could read it as such. It’s just so much better with reading the trilogy in order. Jane Henry brings these characters right off the page and into your mind, fully immersed in their world.
It seems like it's taken me forever to get to 'Possess Me', the third book in Jane Henry's "Masters of Corsica" series, but I finally made it! These two characters are fighting their demons from the past while trying to come to terms with the present. Cosette betrayed the Gerard family and they almost lost Savannah, Thayer''s wife. Lyam was kidnapped, tortured, and now suffers insomnia as a result. Trust is not an easy commodity for either of them and doubts are always playing in the back of their minds. This is such a gripping second-chance, love story with all the drama and angst of a mafia family. What an emotional rollercoaster it was for me and I loved it.
I love this series and couldn’t wait to read Lyam’s story, and what a story it is! He’s the youngest brother and the fiercest. Yet there is a side to him he rarely shows, except when it comes to Cossette. A young woman who has had a tough life and just wants someone to love and take care of her. When Cossette does something to his family, he is in charge of finding out why. But will he believe her? Can she explain to him the reasons why and forgive her? The chemistry between these two is sizzling and I kept hoping all would work out for them. But sometimes life gets in the way and all the truths get hidden. This story has lust and love, betrayal and heartache along with a bit of suspense thrown in. There is just so much to love about Lyam and Cossette! You need their story in your life!
Captor captive trope - already pregnant with his baby? Ummm....yes, please! Cosette betrayed the Gerard family epically. Lyam takes her and holds her hostage while battling his feelings for her and her betrayal when he finds out she is pregnant with his baby! This is a wild, intense ride with an anti-hero leading the way.
I listened to the audiobook and loved the narration by Jameson Adams & Kingsley Rose. Their performances, complete with accents brought the story to life!

Thanks to Valentine_pr for this exciting Audiobook and for this opportunity to listen to my first Jane Henry book. And special thanks to you all for reading my ratings and reviews. Hope to catch you on the next one my audiobook lovers 💋 One love 💕 @Georgious_eleanorpb🦋
I really enjoyed this story which is book 3 within the series. Unfortunately I haven't read or listened to the first 2 books about the other brothers, but each story is a standalone..But I felt as I listened to Lyam's story that there was a bit of background events that I had missed. It didn't bother me too much it just made me want to listen to the other 2 books. Anyway this book takes place in France and is Lyam Gerard's book who I think is the youngest of the brothers and the most ruthless. The woman he once loved betrayed his family and now he has taken her hostage to get answers of WHY ? Cosette is now the enemy to the man she once loved now his hostage as she betrayed his family and almost got someone killed...But Cosette can't tell him why she had to do it no matter how much he will torture her. They were once so in love and now they hate eachother..and the love they shared has left Cosette with a surprise that will be born in 7 months time. Cosette is hiding another secret though so when she and Lyam start to get close again the secret could ultimately jeopardise their rekindling relationship. Lyam and his family are being framed for murder and all the crime in Paris by his enemy a politician who is determined to bring him and his family down...even though the politician is as corrupt as the criminals he is trying to put away. This Audiobook was narrated by two new narrators to me Jameson Adams and Kingsley Rose who were really amazing.I have so much respect for both of them as they had to voice a French accent through-out the story.I think French accents are so difficult to maintain and both Actors managed to just keep the accent unchanged all the way until the end...smooth and even..They portrayed Lyam and Cosette perfectly even managing to make me smile as I thought some of the dialogue was a bit amusing...especially when they were sparring with eachother and being sarcastic, the narrators voiced it perfectly. Jameson and Kingsley really impressed me and I enjoyed listening to them. This was a very good story with a great romance between Lyam and Cosette steamy, playful and sweet at times..Cosette has to earn Lyam's trust and Lyam has to try to trust Cosette again...Can they?..and will they survive Cosettes secrets.? Jane Henry has written a very intriguing mafia romance. Loved it. 5 Stars.

Possess Me Masters of Corsica series By: Jane Henry Narrated by: Jameson Adams, Kingsley Rose
Jane Henry is a master at creating dark mafia romance novels, stories with incredible world building, ones that grab your attention and hold it hostage the entire time. This third book of her “Masters of Corsica” series, a series where each book features a different Gerard brother, and this book is Lyam’s and Cosette’s story. These books are supposed to be complete standalone books, however, since some characters crossover into each other’s books, it is beneficial to read them in order. Events that happened in earlier books lead to the situation Cosette, we are told about she did, however, I think experiencing it in the prior book and getting the victim’s point of view would have been more impactful and added depth. Cosette wronged the Gerard family, and she has to pay, and because of their history, it is Lyam who wants to be in charge of punishment, starting with having her in his possession. Cosette had her reasons and her secrets and while Lyam may forgive her for one, he or his family may not forgive her for her biggest secret. There is never a dull moment in this cleverly plotted story, with non-stop drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Jane Henry, thank you for another awesome story and wild ride.
🎧📚🎧 Jameson Adams and Kingsley Rose did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting and was believable in every role. Adams nailed it as Lyam, grasping every aspect of his personality and demeanor, including his angst, arrogance, and bossiness. Rose did the same in Cosette’s role and was just as fabulous grasping all her traits too, from her fierceness to her vulnerabilities. These two made a great narration team, with voices and talent that complemented each other and a performance that takes the already terrific story to another level. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.
This is the third book in the “ Masters Of Corsica “ series. I suggest that you read the series in order, as it will give you an understanding of the trials and tribulations of the Gerard Mafia Family. What more can I say about Ms. Henry? It is now to a point where I'm not surprised by her creative ability, and Lyam and Cosette’s story is proof of how for a short time, the author turns my world upside-down. Each time they made it through a menacing situation, another one would pop up, but Liam's knowledge and skill in dangerous situations kept them out of danger. One thing the author does is shatter the stereotypical expectations of how Mafia family members seek revenge when they are betrayed. There is no doubt that if Cosette were a male, her outlook would have been very different.
Cosette is weighed down with guilt. She knew there would be consequences for her actions, but what choice did she have? Given her predicament, her sarcasm was not a good idea. She was feisty, and her stubbornness and contempt masked her fear. I was surprised at how quickly she caved in and told Lyam the truth, but will secrets ruin her chance of happiness with Lyam?
Lyam was dark, dangerous, and deadly. Cosette’s betrayal ran deep, given their relationship. She had shattered his trust, but he still had a job to do. Despite his need for revenge, his feelings confused him. Once the truth came out, Lyam immediately went into protective mode on steroids.
This book had a constant build-up and plot twist throughout. Intrigue and deception were plentiful with unique twists that took me by surprise. I hoped for a happy ending but wondered how Ms. Henry was going to achieve it? I should have known that she would not let me down. The suspense and excitement carried through from start to finish. Another excellent read.
This is the third book in Jane Henry's "Masters of Corsica" series and I hope that it isn't the last. This is Lyam and Cosette's story and, although it is a standalone I sincerely urge reading Fabien and Nicolette and Thayer and Savannah's stories to gain the most enjoyment. Cosette had betrayed them, how could they have been so blind, they had trusted her, Lyam was distraught but he would make her pay. Lyam was the youngest of the mighty Gerard brothers, the powerful mafia family, he had loved Cosette when she worked at his brother Thayer's club, Lyam was a trained killer, he was dark and ruthless but Cosette saw a side that others didn't, a tender side, a side that didn't torcher, a side that didn't kill, a side that loved passionately but she had betrayed them and put Savannahs life in danger, Lyam couldn't forgive this, to mafia families loyalty was everything. Cosette loved Lyam but she knew that she would die at his hand, she had betrayed the family, she had betrayed Lyam, she had her reasons but would Lyam listen. This is the story of Cosette and Lyam's love but can love survive the terrible thing that Cosette had done to this proud, unforgiving family ? Politician Francois Montague was up for election, he had vowed to rid Paris of the mafia families but he was corrupt, underhand and cruel, could Cosette be involved in his plan ? Jane Henry puts such emotion and atmosphere into her books, her characters are wonderful, I loved dark, brooding Lyam and sassy, brave Cosette, this story had me gripped from the first page to the last.
Possess Me Masters of Corsica 3 By: Jane Henry Narrated by: Jameson Adams, Kingsley Rose
Give me a Jane Henry book and I am a happy listener. She knows how to pick her narrators and pull me into her dark romances. This is the third book in the Masters of Corsica, and be still my heart. Lyam and Cosette now have their turn and it's a love in turmoil. Cosette has crossed Lyam's family and now she has to pay. Lyam wants to be her punisher, as they have history,b ut when he finds out her reasons, there is some softening. But the biggest secret she has is one that he won't be able to forgive,so putting that one off sounds like a good idea. As all good secrets are, it comes out in the most awkward of situations and now it just may be too late. How does this all turn out? Henry gives this anti-hero a heart, one that I can't help but love. He is dangerous, suspicious, but he knows his heart. Cosette is a bit off as she loves Lyam, but the secret keeps her heart just at arms length. Danger and betrayals, thrilling suspense that had me cringe in pain and love that is boundless. A fantastic addition to this series and I loved it!
Bring out Jameson Adams and Kingsley Rose and I found myself transported to Paris. These two know how to tell a story together, and they brought out all the feelings of frustration, gear and love. The French accents bring it all alive, creating the moods and make the story like a movie in my mind. Loved these two and their performance. Perfect picks for this listen.
A riveting read that I loved, great characters and plot that will have you guessing to the end
Lyam had been ordered to guard Cosette, she had betrayed the family and nearly caused the loss of one of their pregnant women and if she had been a male members would instantly have been killed.
Cosette loved Lyam and hated that she had been the one that had crossed them and nearly caused the death of not only one of the brothers’ women but the baby she was carrying as well and she could not face herself. Unfortunately, there was a reason for her duplicity and if there is one thing Lyam is exceedingly good at it’s reading her and she knows he will discover the reason for her treason.
When they seem to be putting them selves back together the skeleton in her closet is discovered before she had time to tell Lyam her family history his brother had dropped the bombshell and she had been put into a house alone, unfortunately this had played into their enemies’ hands and it had been Cosette who had once again saved Lyam but would he be able to forgive?
I guarantee that you will not be able to put this book down until you discover the outcome and what is going to happen to this wonderful couple.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "POSSESS ME" You'll be hooked on this riviting, dark intense, intriguing romance, full of action, danger, action, suspense, secrets, lies, betrayals, deceit, steamy scenes, mystery, twist that make for a very addicting read. Cosette finally comes clean about why she betrayed the Gerards he finds out she's pregnant with his baby so it was her life & his baby's on the line, she had to protect them, but theres more secrets she holding back that could cause him to never forgive her. I definitely recommend to get this riviting, engaging, interesting action packed intense drama so much happens after Lyam learns Francois Montague is at the cause of his problems & how Cosette is involved, will they get their HEA, or is the secret she kept to much to forgive its a must read you don't want miss. PHENOMINAL DARK MAFIA ROMANCE 🖤 🖤 🖤 🖤
I’ve been most excited to read Lyam’s story and Jane did NOT disappoint at all! This was by far the best in the series and my favorite couple! All the questions are finally answered, and the suspense of everything since book 1 all come to a head in this one. Lyam and Cosette have a lot to overcome, her betrayal from book 2 cuts deep for Lyam and his brothers. Anyone else who would betray their family would be eliminated. But Lyam can’t do it to her and instead takes her as his prisoner. But as much as he wants answers, he’s not expecting the answer she gives him. It definitely throws a huge wrench in his plans! I loved Lyam. He was dominant and controlling, protective and obsessed, yet gentle and caring. And I loved Cosette. She had a fire in her and was loyal and caring. But I kept wanting to yell at her to tell Lyam everything!! I really really enjoyed this book. It had an excellent story plot, twist and turns throughout and betrayal. And one heck of a HEA at the end! The suspense from start to finish and the constant excitement from everything keeps you hooked! Once I started I couldn’t put it down.
General Thoughts: I have read one book by this author and was curious to read more by her. I jumped into the middle of another one of her series, and I did it again here. When I was presented with the chance to read this, I went for it because I love the genre dark mafia romance. I'm not really sure what that says about me. Jane Henry's books are spicy and fast-paced. She keeps her foot on the gas the whole time. If you enjoy spicy plot-driven books (though there is character development), then Jane may be an author you want to look into. An enjoyable read. I received an audio review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. Thanks to the author and Valentine PR. 🎧
Reading Order: I jumped in here, and you could, but it definitely picks up on events in book 1 and 2.
Spice Meter:❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥.5 Very frequently spicy in this one. Graphic. BD SM.

Ms. Henry is a master when it comes to the dark mafia genre and this story is the perfect example of that. She creates memorable characters that have deep family ties, men who are both dangerous and endearing, women who are strong enough to stand up to those men, and love stories that take your breath away. Lyam and Cossette's story is all of that and more. Their story isn't an easy one and the dangerous world they inhabit isn't glossed over. It's gritty, dark, and even the heat is crazy intense. This couple is going to have to do more than fight each other to reach their HEA. It was that sense of wondering how they would ever reach that ending that kept me up late into the night to finish. I have no regrets for the tired headache I suffered the next day. It was well worth it.
This is the third and final book in this series, and should be read in series order for the most enjoyable experience.
Audio Review: Narrated by Jameson Adams & Kingsley Rose. These to narrators did a great job with their French accent. It was easy to feel like you were in Paris and they were real French people. This is Book 3 of the trilogy, Masters Of Corsica. The 3rd Gérard Brother, Lyam. He is the enforcer of the mafia family and when the woman he fell in love with betrays his family, he is absolutely torn. Cossete loved Lyam and his family but she had no choice to betray them. Now she is Lyams prisoner and he will find out why she did it. They are both so broken from that incident and lost. What will Lyam do when he finds out why she did it? What will he do when he finds out who Cossete's father is? Was all this one big game plan? Cossete has a big mountain in front of her to climb and prove herself. Plenty of action, twists, secrets, surprise, emotions, family and spice. I loved Lyams mum, she gives so much warmth through the pages you can feel the love.
This is Lyam and Cosette's story. Lyam is the youngest Gerard and the family assassin. He never misses what he's shooting at. He and Cosette were together at one time but she had pulled away from him. When she admits to being the one that facilitated Savannah's kidnapping, her life is spared but she is kept captive. Her new captor? Lyam.
Lyam is determined to find out the real reason that Cosette betrayed them. He is sure she was coerced but he doesn't know they used to convince her to turn on them. Especially since she quickly admitted her complicity to them and Savannah was saved. But even he is unprepared for the truth about her involvement. What she tells him changes everything. And that is not the only bombshell she drops.
I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
This is the third book in the “Masters of Corsica series". It picks up after book two left off and we learn their good friend Cossette had betrayed them, especial Lyam Gerard her lover. Now he's my mortal enemy, my captor and my executioner. What he doesn't know is why I betrayed his family. What happens when he finds out I'm pregnant with his child? What a wild ride this book is there's someone out to destroy the Gerard family and make an example of them. Cossette is hiding a secret, one that will and can destroy her relationship with Lyam and the Gerard family. I love how Lyam is so emotional, he doesn't want to hurt Cossette, but as her lies and her secret is exposed it's not something he can ignore any more than he can ignore how much he loves her. I have read and reviewed this captivating story and the conclusion to the Masters of Corsica brothers.
This book is amazing! There is so much love, devotion, passion, and protectiveness that it’s on every page. These characters love hard and strong and Lyam & Cossette’s story is no different. Lyam has loved Cossette but her betrayal isn’t something he can overlook but his feelings for her is so intense and strong that he has to see it through and find out the truth!!
Cossette is in a pickle and she knows she has to tell Lyam the truth before he comes to his own conclusions. She’s smitten by Lyam and his family but she’s not sure if they will ever forgive her but she has to try.
Savannah, Thayer, Nicolette and Fabien make appearances throughout which is always fun because this entire Gerard family is awesome and the women who brought them to their knees are quite remarkable too! Happy Reading!!
This books starts out with action. We see the mmc Lyam kidnapping his former lover Cossette to punish her for her betrayal of him and his family. This book is a rollercoaster of emotions. Cossette is hiding so many secrets that you wonder if she will ever come clean with Lyam and show she can be everything he needs her to be. They both love each other. They both know that they are made and meant to be. The secrets and the omissions she is hiding is tearing them and her self apart. She had a lot of issues that she needs to reconcile. She is after all carrying his baby and he is the over the top jealous and possessive guy that she needs. She needs to learn to trust that he has her best interest at heart. Can she finally show him that she is everything he will ever need? You will have to read to find out.
This story follows Cosette and Lyam in a whirlwind of what I would call a f*cked up love story! I loved the dynamic of the characters, and how the story flowed. Starting off strong with him “kidnapping” her… well do we call it that if she betrayed him 🤔 (with reasoning) … anyways that hatred he had for her was shortly lived when he finds out that she is carrying his kid. Y’all that is a whole thing in itself… all I can say is you just have to read it!! Or in my case listen to it!! *swoooon* The audio was 10/10 the narration really made me feel like I was there apart of it… and the French accents…. 🫠😮💨
And if we are being honest anything that Jane Henry writes I am reading!! And if there is an audio it is a done deal, I am listening to it!! STAT! 🚨
I hope this is not the last of the Masters of Corsica, there is still a bit to be said about Avril, or is it? This is the story of Lyam, the enforcer and Cossette, the one who betrayed the family. Intense, dramatic, suspensful and sexy story. Our last story ended when we found out thet Cossette betrayed the family and now we know why. Once all is said and done, things take a different turn and Lyam and Cossette are getting ready to start planning their lives when it is assumed that she betrayed the Gerard's along with her politician father Montague. Secrets are unveiled and the past that haunted her all her life, comes to light. Secrets, betrayal, death and vengeance will grab your attention and enthrall you from the first to the last page! Great series Jane Henry!
Possess Me, the third installment in the Masters of Corsica series, is a gripping dark Mafia romance that will leave you breathless. Cosette, a young woman with a complicated past, is forced to confront her mistakes when she's taken by Lyam Gerard, the youngest and most feared brother. As Lyam seeks answers for Cosette's betrayal, their complex and intense relationship unfolds, fueled by passion, protectiveness, and secrets. This story cleverly blends intrigue, heartache, and passion, with a dash of mafia darkness. Lyam and Cosette's journey is a wild ride, filled with unexpected twists and turns. I devoured this story it seemed to have possessed me. 🤓
Jane Henry’s Possess Me brings us Lyam and Cosette’s story. There’s so much going on. Cosette is in so much trouble but she has her reasons and they’re really good. I LOVED Lyam. He’s a mix of action heroes—from Jason Bourne to Boondock Saints. While I will admit that Cosette wasn’t particularly surprising as a character, I did love the way she balanced Lyam. And how Lyam was a different person around her AND fiercely protective. And of course, their smexy scenes were downright hot. Possess Me is my favorite book of the Gerard family and it’s also the last book in the Masters of Corsica series.
Lyam believes that Cosette betrayed him and his family and is set to deliver his revenge. The problem is that Lyam still loves Cosette and is unaware that what she did was to save the life of their unborn child. The story follows the couple as secrets unfold and they try to rebuild trust in their relationship.
Possess Me is full of suspense, mystery, danger, and most importantly love. The narrators did an amazing job with their performances along with French accents.
