Good Ending

This series started off a bit Rocky for me but it got better as it went along. This is another good addition to the series and a good ending.

I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion

This is the first book I’ve read in the series and while I’m planning on reading the rest, this story can be read as a standalone.
This is one of those stories that gives me book hangover. You keep thinking about long after you finish the story. I’m hoping there will be more with these characters.
The story really has a strong start right away. An FBI agent gets pulled into what appears as a kidnapping and the whole thing is being streamed online. Bodhi gets involved even though it isn’t his jurisdiction but time plays into it. Morgan also gets involved because he is right there with Bodhi. After the immediate danger is handled, they find out this is only the start of the trouble they have since being involved with the online showing. This also brings up the issue of Bodhi not completely being comfortable in a gay relationship but also Morgan’s acting career places more public focus on their relationship and Bodhi does not like the attention. As situations cause Bodhi to examine his daily life, he feels he can’t continue in the limelight. Then something happens that gives both guys to come to decisions what is most important to them.
This is a strongly emotional story. It took me through many up and downs of their lives and careers. The characters and issues are described so well that I could easily picture this really happening. This story convinced me to check out more from this author and watch for further stories hopefully with these characters.

This fourth book in the series is an emotional rollercoaster! At various times in the book I loved the MCs, hated the MCs, felt terrible for the MCs, and wanted to wrap the MCs up in big Mommy hugs! There were scenes of such visceral anger that I felt my blood pressure rising. And I swear I don’t think I breathed for the last 30% of the book it was so tense. It was 4:00 in the morning and I couldn’t even contemplate putting the book down and was so on edge and wired I didn’t think I would ever get to sleep after!!

The book starts with a live streamed kidnapping and escalates from there. The major theme of the book is the impact of social media and the immediacy of the news cycle as a result. Paparazzi’s impact on people’s lives, our quest to know it all about others and the lack of boundaries is another key element. There is so much to think about here and the author makes clear in the endnote that society needs to do something.

Since it was late I didn’t write the review when I finished early this morning so I’m reflecting now and realize I have a book hangover! There was a lot to process here and it was quite a journey for the MCs getting from where they started to the lovely ending. I really loved this book and I hope we are going to see more of these MCs.

**I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion.**

Bodhi and Morgan are back in the fourth installment of the Hollywood Endings series and, instead of planning for their future together, the pair are caught up in possibly their most personally destructive case yet. There's an online threat that hits both men right where their biggest fears lie: for Bodhi, it's his innate need to stay out of the limelight - kind of hard when your fiancé is a famous actor; whereas for Morgan it's that Bodhi is safe on the job as a stellar FBI agent.

I really like the plot in Deep Focus. It feels very current and that, to me, gives an extra bit of edge to the threat. As with the other books in the series there are twists and turns aplenty, too, so just when you think you have a handle on the case another angle reveals itself and Morgan and Bodhi find themselves against the clock sending them on an emotional rollercoaster.

The way this book ended was pretty ambiguous. Yes, the guys solve the case and their relationship questions, but is that it for Bodhi Locke and Morgan Cooper Young? Well, it could be interpreted either way but I, for one, hope we've not seen the last of these two. 4.5* rounded up.

A copy was provided by GRR. This is my honest review.

FBI agent Bodhi Locke and his partner, actor Morgan Cooper Young, find themselves in the unenviable position of having to decide for good what is most important to them and how to achieve their shared goal of being partners for life. Locke's involvement in a case that turns out to have been staged for a live audience, and the subsequent cyberbullying of him and Morgan, up to and including the unthinkable that has Morgan fearing for his lover's life, not only brings absolute clarity to the things they want for themselves but also shines a light on the tech corporation that is at the heart of the cyberbullying. The pace is fast, the tension is high, and the suspense nail-biting. We're torn between horror at the events that unfold and fear for the relationship of these men whom we have come to care deeply for and root for even when we fear the worst. A great story, apart from the very careless proofreading of typos and punctuation....hence the 4 stars.

There are a couple of reasons this book managed to pull me in from start to finish.
The first is, of course, Bodhi and Morgan — as a pair, they have plenty of chemistry. In some ways, they’re similar, in many others it’s an “opposites attract” kind of momentum, the kind that it’s not really clear why things work but they do. As individuals, they’re interesting and sometimes loveable, sometimes super frustrating (so, remarkably human, I guess). It’s always worth sticking around to see them interact.
The second reason would have to be the plot, which manages to pack a lot of tension and emotional intensity into its pages. It’s not just the action involved with the case, it’s the repercussions for their relationship and lives that they need to navigate. Overall, a compelling read. 4.5 stars.

WOW! This book is an intense and emotional roller coaster ride. I personally loved the indictment of social media and the news. The drive to be always on, and to know everything about everybody, has really gotten out of hand. I can really feel for Bodhi and his dislike for being in the public eye and under the microscope. Morgan may be used to it due to his career, but Bodhi, not so much. I loved the story and the edge-of-your-seat tension, suspense, and danger. This series keeps getting better and better, and I hope there are more books to come.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Deep Focus is a terrific addition to the Hollywood Endings series.
I loved being back with these guys.
Bodhi and Morgan have grown so much as a couple. When Bodhi is thrown to the wolves by online groups as he tries to save a kidnapped girl.
It's impossible to stay in the background when you are with a famous actor!
How this affects his ability to do his job and also his mental health is troubling.
Add in the urgency of solving this case and you have an emotional roller coaster.
Full of twists and turns this story will keep you glued to your book.
I'm hoping this isn't the last we have seen of these two!

This was one heck of a page turner. As if Bodhi wasn't already a bit concerned about marrying a celebrity and having his life come under scrutiny for that, when he starts a campaign to get an app shut down that he considers dangerous he learns what real scrutiny can be like. Those invested in the app - personally, professionally and financially make formidable and dangerous opponents. Anyone who enjoys a great couple and a thriller about the dangers of social media and its influencers should grab this one.

I really enjoyed this one! Bodhi and Morgan are back again and this time they have one of the biggest hurdles yet to get through. Social media!

Honestly they are stronger than me cause i would not be able to handle the harassment at all! Some crazy things happen in this book but Bodhi and Morgan’s love for each other helped them get through it all. The only thing i was disappointed about was the end I wish that we got to see the wedding!! I really wish we get to see more of their life together, in future books. 5 stars!

I have loved this series from the start, and each book just keeps getting better. Bodhi and Morgan are still my favourite part of the book, but the cases are always amazing, and this one was no different. The case is very relevant today, especially with how much social media is in our lives. It can either make you or break you! The case brought their main concerns to the forefront. For Bodhi, it's about not wanting to be in the spotlight and for Morgan, it's the fear of something happening to Bodhi on the job. The whole book kept me gripped and I can never get enough of this pair!

Deep Focus is the fourth book in the Hollywood Ending series. I’ve loved every single book in this series but this one hung with me. The plot felt realistic, like I was there watching it all unfold. Bodhi has a need to stay out of the limelight, his fiancee Morgan is an A-list star. An influencer has streamed her own kidnapping and all ends well but it hits Bodhi. He wants the app shut down. Twists and turns all around. Overall, an excellent story! Well written with fantastic pacing.

It was good to revisit Bodhi and Morgan. These two have to be the couple that attracts trouble and chaos. The two are planning forever when a new case crashes into their living room. Their latest case is a true test of the strength of their relationship. Will they solve the case with their happy ever after intact?
I hope there are more books to follow but if not, this has been a great romantic suspense series with two complete opposites that was a joy to follow.

It is an emotional roller coaster. I adore Bodhi and Morgan. The action and unpredictability keeps you reading well past your bedtime. Definitely recommended.

I received this book as an Arc and I am happily reviewing it voluntarily.

I read it just after a pretty terrible third instalment in a series so this felt light and fun. I enjoy Bosnian and Morgan is, as usual, kinda over the top but entertaining.
