Albus Dumbledore knows what Harry Potter is. He knows that the boys death, while regrettable, is necessary to stop the current Dark Lord and prevent the rise of another.
Lord Voldemort knows what Harry Potter is. He knows that Potter is his gift from fate; the equal he never knew he desired and will now stop at nothing to have stand by his side.
Severus Snape knows what Harry Potter is. He knows that it’s going to come down to a decision, a decision laid on his shoulders: what matters more, ending the war with the Dark Lord or allowing Harry to live his life?
Harry Potter does not know what he is and is simply trying to fight a war that his enemies are suddenly changing the rules to.
Woah. I cried a lot while reading this one. This was another level of angst and pain. This book 6 is entirely different from the original 6, and i think thats where this book shines. I don’t think I can forgive the author for completely breaking harry with the dementors. I actually found that so painful. Broken harry is not something i wanna see again. All the major character deaths absolutely broke my heart. So much respect for harry character growth, he’s kinda perfect now. Snape is my favorite. The one thing I ask from this series is to keep both harry and snape alive. Thats a lie. I need all the characters to live. Ive gotten way too attached to this version of the characters.
I think this book is even darker than Canon. A lot of bad shit happens but the worst for me was when Harry got sent to azkaban. Lucius' POV narrated how Harry was slowly breaking apart. He crumbled from all of the shitty memories he had. Then he started seeing the deaths of everyone he loves. His POV was so hard to read! They rescued him and he just assumed it was another dream. That the dementors were coming to torture him next. He had to break his legs to reassure himself that it was all real. Still, he was afraid and anxious all the time! And then just when everything is coming together again, Trent dies!😫
The next one better have a HEA!!!

There is still one more book to go but I find I have no real interest in reading it.
I have never disliked so many characters in one book, but this author managed to make me dislike almost everyone, then she went and killed one of the very few characters I actually liked.
So while I freely admit this author has talent, I think I am done.
I didn't think I would get this far in this series and I might even read the next. Severitus has created/re-invented characters that I have come to really enjoy and appreciate! Go, Susan Bones! Severus has basically become a foster parent of Harry and his group--and it is hilarious.
While there is a lot of darkly humorous material, there is definitely a more complex layer of mental illness with some of the MCs that are being talked about, but are ongoing and heavy. Have I cried for the first time during a quidditch match? Yes, I did. Go, Trent.
While chaos, murder, and arson form the backbone of this story, the brilliance of the novel lies in its ability to explore the human condition amidst the chaos. Severitus812 deftly explores themes of trust, loyalty, and the consequences of one's actions. These thematic undercurrents add substance and complexity to the story, elevating it beyond a mere tale of mayhem. Truly brill. 10/5 stars.
If you’ve read the other five, then you’re in for a treat because this book truely is marvellous. The amount of thought that goes into this story hurts my brain to even think about, but the story is by far one of the best things I’ve ever read. On par with the author, the plot twists really are amazing, and event Hough this story may break a little part inside of you, you should absolutely read it. It’s humorous, mysterious, angst filled, and gruesome. Still, if you’re not into any of that by the end of the series you’ll be looking for a book just like it. If you have the time, or even if you don’t, I very strongly recommend reading this entire series to see it’s maximum greatness.
