Help and hope for a diseased body

As a retired health care provider and someone with various health challenges, I found A Path Forward to be an inspiration and a how-to-guide for healing. Her mastery at weaving conventional medicine with integrative/functional medicine honors the best of each approach. Clear and detailed descriptions of various meditation techniques are offered along with numerous body approaches that anyone can use. Health care professionals as well as people dealing with illness have much to learn from Johnson: the importance of our psychosocial history/emotional baggage, the encouragement to go against medical advice when there are other options, and most importantly, the ability to listen to one’s own body, take actions and heal.
