Something otherworldly has entered our realm and Melissa could have prevented it. Now she must stop it before everyone, and everything, is destroyed.

This short story gives off very unsettling vibes. As you are reading, you are not really sure what is going on only that it's something strange. The atmosphere of the book is very well written. The bleakness of Melissa's journey is described in detail. The ending is bittersweet.

This story left me wondering so much about what led up to this point in time. It would be nice to have another story that tells the backstory of Melissa. Perhaps a series about her and her abilities.

Overall, this book was satisfying. It is reminiscent of classic horror stories. Check it out if you love gripping stories that involve magic, the end of the world, and atmospheric books.

This was such a mesmerising and well written story. Having not read cosmic horror before I wasn't sure what to expect but I really loved this.
