Book#8 was good, but #9 Assassin's Mark is outstanding! I've only read two novels in this series and vowed to start from the beginning and haven't had the chance. Larsen's solid writing will provide ample backstory for readers to enjoy David Slaton's character. Slaton aka "Cosair" is ex Kidon, the elite unit of Mossad. He lives in Montana with his wife and young son and works off the books for the CIA.
After Marine One is attacked over DC, POTUS is found alive, but hanging on to her life. Without a choice, the VP and the rest invoke the 25th Amendment. Slaton is sent to the Far East with the full backing of the CIA to eliminate the suspects.
The mission goes as planned until Slaton faces a lethal adversary and 💩 hits the fan.
The action is non-stop and what a rollercoaster ride of a story. Although the theme has been done before with moles/traitors that make much of the reveal predictable, I just don't care because it was that good! I was gripping my seat on one hand and biting my nails on another to see how Slaton would get himself out of the predicament. And the ending? Loved it! 4.5⭐

Assisted by CIA operative David Slaton, the United States has thwarted numerous attacks, yet security is shattered when Marine One is boldly brought down with the president aboard, leaving the commander-in-chief clinging to life. Slaton is again summoned into action embarking on a global mission. However, simultaneously, an unknown young assassin with unclear motives sets his sights on Slaton. What becomes evident is that a secret organization is pulling the strings, and a high-level traitor lurks within the U.S. government.
My Thoughts
"Assassin's Mark" by Ward Larsen is a captivating addition to the series, even for newcomers like myself. While previous familiarity with the series might enhance the experience, this book stands confidently on its own.
The narrative is an action-packed masterpiece of suspense and drama, offering a compelling blend of betrayal and intrigue. David Slaton, otherwise known as ‘Corsair’, the central character, is particularly intriguing, navigating a character-driven psychological thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Espionage aficionados will find a rollercoaster of intrigue that's more addictive than a double-shot espresso on a sleepy Monday morning.
Larsen's storytelling is well-crafted, featuring multiple twists and complex characters that evoke strong emotional connections, whether positive or negative. The plot delves into political assassinations, conspiracy theories, corruption, treason, and multiple relentless assassins, all within a backdrop of international intrigue.
One of the book's strengths is its ability to maintain a sense of believability, even amidst its thrilling scenarios. This grounded approach is quite refreshing.
I appreciate protagonists who are highly trained and supremely skilled, yet equally adept at relying on intelligence and ingenuity in challenging situations. "Assassin's Mark" delivers this along with a thrilling battle of wits, akin to a cat-and-mouse game.
While I enjoyed the audiobook version, I found the narration, although competent, felt somewhat flat. The consistent cadence used by the narrator throughout the book gives the impression of reading rather than performing. Others may have opposing opinions as I believe this is not the first book in the series read by this narrator, so your experience may differ.
Recommendation
"Assassin's Mark" is an action-packed masterpiece of suspense with a well-developed character-driven plot, making it a must-read for fans of thrilling espionage and cat-and-mouse games. Be warned, once you start reading, you won't be able to stop. I highly recommend. Preorder it now.
Israeli assassin David Slaton is back once again to save the U.S.'s bacon; only this time Slaton is being forced to. Aboard Marine One, the president departs Andrews on her way back to the White House when a massive drone attack is launched and downs Marine One along with the decoy helicopters. The president is alive but only barely. In a coma, the president is powerless when forces inside the White House pull Slaton's family's protection detail and forces Slaton to become the acting V.P's errand boy. As Slaton spans the globe searching for those responsible, the assassin becomes increasingly certain there is a traitor in the White House. And not only are they an enemy of the U.S.--the traitor has threatened and endangered Slaton's family--an even more egregious sin. There's a reason Slaton is feared and those responsible are about to learn why that is.
Assassin's Mark is a great addition to Slaton's world and I was lucky enough to receive a galley as well as the audiobook version. This was my first time listening to an audiobook and have been hesitant in the past. It feels like cheating. I bounced back and forth between reading and listening and can see the appeal of audiobooks. It still felt like cheating.
I will say the audiobook delivers in a way I didn't think possible. I've read all of Ward Larsen's books and in my head Slaton "sounded" different. At least for me, hearing the words out-loud added a nuance to Slaton's voice that wasn't present in my big head. Sarcasm doesn't come through the page nearly as well as hearing it aloud.
If you are looking for a fast paced, smart thriller with some wild aviation theatrics, look no further than Assassin's Mark. Larsen continues to keep the Slaton series fresh and timely and I can't wait to see where Larsen takes Slaton in the future!
Thank you to Ward Larsen, Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the opportunity to review an advanced copy of Assassin's Mark.
Just when I thought that this series was slowing down and I didn't think there could be much more to do for David Slaton, Ward Larsen writes this masterpiece of a suspense filled action thriller. This book is so good I had to force myself to put it down to get some food and sleep. Not only do we get Slaton our favorite Kidon and Anna Sorenson, we also get Jammer Davis. What could go wrong? Well a lot goes wrong and David has some difficulties to deal with. This is one of the best books in this series and if you by some chance have missed this author you better rectify it and start reading at once, this is some great stuff. It's highly recommended. I must thank Forge books Macmillan and Edelweiss for giving me an advance copy.
First of all, the narrator is great. This being the 9th in the series it can be read as a stand alone but the characters are richer, deeper and you, the reader, simply becomes more invested over time. David Stanton is way more than an assassin. He cares about more than hitting his mark. This is fueled with adrenaline packed sequences.
Ward Larsen never disappoints. The story is believable. It seems possible and current which, in my opinion, is hard to achieve. This book plays out like a movie in your head. Highly recommend this
Top marks! When the President is taken down along with Marine One that leaves the VP in charge, at least temporarily. One of his first actions in charge is to send Slaton to reap vengeance on one the CIA is sure is responsible.
Slaton heads off to do his thing, but something is hinky from the start. A fine entry in the series.
This is another series that I have loved from the very beginning. We have followed David Slaton and his family through thick and thin and let's just say that he has not always gotten the best end of the deal (and that is after giving his everything, and almost his life for the United States many, many times).
David was an assassin. He started off with Mossad and through the various situations, has ended up as an "off the books" contractor for the CIA. As we have come to find out, the CIA is not known for its loyalty and would have gladly left him out to dry several times if not for his CIA handler.
This book has a terrorist attack that almost kills the President and they have to invoke the 25th Amendment while she is in the hospital. No one knows if she is going to pull through or not. At the same time, there is tremendous pressure to find and take out the group that those in charge think is responsible - The Trident. David is chosen, then threatened, then pretty much blackmailed to take the job. Things take off from there.
As usual, there is non stop action, major drama, some betrayal and definite intrigue. There is a mole somewhere and somewhere VERY high up in the US government. Can they figure out who before he is the one who is eliminated?
I was awarded the Audio ARC, so I listened to this completely on audio. P. J. Ochlan has been the narrator since around the third book in the series and he did his usual good job with the narration. I found myself definitely immersed as David ends up trapped in enemy territory....but no spoilers...
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to listen and review this ARC. The opinions above are mine and mine alone.
David is a CIA operative who is helping after America has undergone a series of high-tech attacks. Just when the attempts seem to be over, Marine One is brought down, with the president aboard. While she survives, she is fighting for her life.
With the backing of the CIA and unlimited resources, David finds himself facing off against a talented adversary, and a ruthless young assassin who moves like a ghost and has unclear motives.
What is clear, however, is there is a high-level traitor in the US government, and David is the only one who can figure it out.
This was a fast-paced thriller full of action. This was my first book in this series, and I really enjoyed it, it was so much fun. Even though this is book nine, I think that it was written well enough that it can easily stand-alone. The only thing that was a little bit of a letdown was how predictable this one was. I felt that it was a bit formulaic for my liking, but if you put that aside, it was entertaining. This book was totally bingeable, and it left me wanting to keep going even when other things came up. The characters were well thought out and developed, and I would love to go back in the series to get to know them better.
This is one of those books that will be playing like a movie in your head while you’re watching it.
Thank you so much to the publisher, Tor Publishing Group, and Netgalley, @netgalley for this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you Macmillan Audio for allowing me to read and review Assassin's Mark, A David Slaton Novel, by Ward Larsen on NetGalley.

The cover immediately caught my eye and I grabbed the opportunity to read Assassin's Mark. Don't be put off by my rating; the book was not written in a style that I enjoy. This was incredibly daunting with names of weapons and positions, parts, etc. These are things I figured out I want to see but not read. Should Slaton make it to the big screen I'm in.
Additionally I wasn't fond of the narrator. I found myself wanting to hush him. I didn't connect to his performance.
I would recommend and would gift to those who already know they like action books.
Riveting continuation of the David Slaton series. Davis is sent overseas on a kill mission to remove the 3 heads of Trident, the group believed to be behind recent terror attacks in the US and the most recent, attempted assassination of the president. The story is non stop action and absolutely engrossing as it becomes apparent that there is a mole in the White House, feeding info to the Trident people. David and his mission are compromised, unbeknownst to him. Suspenseful and wildly entertaining and interesting as David works against time with his contact, Anna, to end Trident's power and to unmask the traitor within, as the Vice President temporarily assumes the Presidential power. Great read. So now I wait for the next one. Impatiently, of course.
Being new to the David Slaton universe, I was honored to be selected to receive an advanced readers copy of Assassin’s Mark by Ward Larsen and even more so after reading it. Great plot, awesome characters, outstanding action and superb pacing made this one enjoyable read! David Slaton is once sent on a globe trotting mission to take out The Trident after an assassination attempt on the US President, but everything is not at is seems and once David figures that out, it brings a whole new meaning to his mission.
Every time a new addition to this series comes out I think I will find myself being bored since I’ve read so many. Although the storyline is predictable, the action is not. These scenes are fast coming and may leave you breathless. David Slaton’s mission may seem impossible but you can’t outdo the best assassin around. Now if he could only lead a peaceful life.
Cover Image: Assassin's Mark Assassin's Mark by Ward Larsen Pub Date: 28 Nov 2023 Review by Marcia P, Reviewer Last updated on 19 Dec 2023 Audio books are tricky. They either grab my attention or I tune them out. In the audio version of Assassin’s Mark, Ward Larsen hits a home run. Filled with non stop action, this thriller held my attention as I was riveted to an engaging, interesting and powerful tale for the duration of a long car trip.
The president’ has been seriously injured when Marine One is attacked. She survives the crash but hangs onto life by a thread. Who would commit such a heinous act? Enter CIA operative/assassin David Slaton , whose mission is to get those responsible for this treachery. Could it be someone in the US government ? As Slaton gets deeper into a cleverly drawn plot, he finds he himself the target of adversarial forces.
Four stars for a highly recommended thriller. Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan audio for providing me with a prepublication copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. It in now available for purchase !
I haven’t read anything by Ward Larsen before and I decided to try it when I read the book description. It started off really strong. The downing of presidential aircraft in an attempted assassination is definitely an eye catching opener. After that, the trek through the halls of politics kept the momentum going nicely. I liked the way Mr. Larsen writes. He appears to have a nice, fluid style that translates well across both the print version and the audio version. One thing I thought was great was the pacing of the book. My interest never really waned throughout the story. The action, the political discussions, the personal beats, it all moved well for the entire book. If I have one negative to say about this book is that the ended seemed a little too sudden. You knew you were reaching the end, but it honestly just ended. If that makes sense.
Excellent story as Slaton transitions to life in America and gets to experience firsthand the duplicity of national leaders. It all starts with an assassination attempt on the president in DC and moves on to the Far East as an international plot unfolds. I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher and voluntarily provided an honest review.
Another action packed thriller in the David Slaton series. Great characters, non-stop action, and international intrigue kept me reading almost straight through. Although this can easily be read as a stand alone, I strongly recommend starting with the first book, "Perfect Assassin" and reading the entire series in order. Highly recommended for fans of John Gilstrap, Marc Cameron, and Jack Carr.
Toiling away under the would-be beer moniker 'Blue Ribbon Sports' for seven years, today's largest slinger of sporting footwear and athletic paraphernalia breathed new life into the Greek goddess of victory's name in mid-1970. It would not be until eighteen years later that NIKE became legend and forged its path to greatness with the lackadaisical invention and ruthless capitalization of the trademarked tagline 'Just Do It.' When the US constitution is once again tested in the fires of reality, America looks to David Slaton to drop everything and do her bidding in two shakes of a lamb's tail. ASSASSIN'S MARK continues the saga of 'Corsair', the ex-Mossad operative who's gone from Kibbutz to Cowboy in the Big Sky State and reluctantly engages in crisis interruptus of domestic bliss and picks up holster and handgun in the name of freedom. David Slaton doesn't have to like it, he'll have to Just Do It.
All but forgotten are the domestic woes of ASSASSIN'S EDGE, for six weeks down the road, America, the perennial damsel in distress, is still under threat of 'the Trident', manifesting itself in form of a cowardly but slick drone ambush on the president's Helicopter-cade. More or less a successful attack, depending whose POV is adopted, the ersatz Commander in Chief has the rule of the roost; an obvious Joe Biden stand-in with the hilariously unconventional Dick Tracy comic book-styled name Lincoln Quarrels. In ASSASSIN'S MARK America, one that's quickly disappearing to package fulfillment centers and populated with ignorant and self-absorbed denizens who have no idea how the rest of the world lives, the VP's name fits right in. It also shouldn't be a surprise that the politicos are bent, double-crossers and there's a traitor high up in the administration. As can be expected with a thriller dipping into international intrigue, the plot is waist deep in quicksand and the only rope for the reader is in the hands of David Slaton--the objective is saving America.
Subsequent to dodging a destructive wave of dominoes dubbed 'March Madness' in the previous adventure, David Slaton, the Numero Uno off-the-books asset to do America's bidding when freedom and democracy are in danger, is the perfect man to finish the destabilizing force pushing a reckless agenda once and for all. No one seems to care that old Dave isn't even a citizen. In fact, it's probably seen as a boon should things go sideways. Spy of spy that he is, Corsair has pulled America's bacon out of the fire many times, finding himself on a suicide mission into the most surveilled country in the world to assassinate three targets. All of this, mind ye, without dragging the United States into an international incident. Cool! Let's try for something harder next time. The fly in the ointment, naturally is another executioner, unencumbered by age or family obligations, cutting a swath through snitches, ruffians, and would-be profiteers. Slaton appreciates precision and a challenge, but the Manchurian, yep, that's his nom de guerre, just wants to earn the cred to be the best, incidentally the a theme embodied by Banderas in Stallone's 1995 ASSASSINS. Patience obviously not one of his virtues, only top notch operational execution counts, the ascending assassin has a hidden agenda surely to be revealed once the best in the business is eliminated and he can shout 'I AM LEGEND' from the rooftops.
The tried and true MIL-Thriller concepts of official corruption, treason, conspiracy theories, political assassinations, and multiple ruthless assassins are securely baked into the narrative, giving ASSASSIN'S MARK a smooth feel and measured gait. Interspersed among a few political opinions, ASSASSIN'S MARK sure mentions 'tick tock' a lot, that, coupled with the fact that Slaton operates in super surveillance China, is perhaps a caution that the pervasive app TIK TOK is Chinese owned and intrusive technology. To lighten up the stark brutality of the spy game and global intrigue, ASSASSIN'S MARK makes note of fun morsels including exburbs, cashed-up Oligarchs, Chinese Fire Drills, dozing for dollars, that News in America is worthless, and includes shout outs to James M. Cain, DEEP FAKE, Dostoevsky, F. Scott Fitzgerald, NIKE, and The Byrds. Entertaining throughout and hitting all the requisite notes but leaving plenty for the next installment, ASSASSIN'S MARK delivers with solid spy craft, relentless killers, bad politics and raw action.
Assassin’s Mark David Slaten #9 Ward Larsen Assassin's Mark is the ninth book in this series. I have not read the previous books; it stands well alone. David Slaten is an assassin; originally, he worked with Mossad but now works on contract for the CIA. David is adjusting to life in the US, preparing to become a US citizen and to become and father again. Recently there have been a series of terrorist attacks on the US. terrorist attack on the US President leaves her in the hospital in critical condition. The method the terrorist used was simple and almost effective. The 25th Amendment is invoked making the Vice President the acting President. David is recruited to exterminate the Trident who some think should be held accountable. The government doesn’t play fair; first they asked David to do the job for them, after he agreed they threatened him and tried to intimidate him through his family. The mission went well at first but then things went very wrong. David becomes the target of an assassin. Help comes from an unexpected source. There is a traditor in the White House. Anna Sorenson knows David’s life is on the line and she is determined to protect him. This is an exciting book. I didn’t want to stop listening. David is a fascinating character. I also enjoyed Ana Sorenson, Kidon, and Jammer Davis. I suspected who the mole was early on in the story but kept doubting myself, but I was RIGHT! I loved the President and her husband. She is one tough cookie! This is a five star read!
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a copy for review. My reviews are always my unbiased opinions.
finished 20th december 2024 good read three stars i liked it kindle library loaner and first from larsen...just read it, an afterword by the writer, i believe this is the last, #10 but don't quote me on it. i'll check out the previous stories given time and availability. entertaining story, a nefarious group called "the trident" combined with a traitor in government (i pictured joe biden...i also just read a news article that quoted sheryl attkinson who spoke about the collusion between "news media" and the obama administration who furnished signs to post around national monuments "shut down because the republicans refused blah de fucking blah" and that cued an image of hunter biden forming a sign making company to be paid two point two fucking billion dollars to make signs) yeah, you're butt hurt because i posted something political. eat my shorts.
anyway, although i had some questions about the...something...dynamics... the this...the that...meh, it's a story and it was entertaining and there were many enjoyable moments...interaction between davy and jammer were fun...larsen could have thrown in a dog and it would have been perfect. ice blend of people devoted to the country coupled with those whose god is greed and power so it mimics life.
to the bat cave, robin! da da da da da....ten more da das...batman!
I was on the fence about selecting this as a next read. I’d not heard of the author before and typically do not like jumping into the middle of a series. I was glad that despite doing just that, jumping in the middle, that I didn’t feel lost. The story was a slow burn with several intricacies.
Assassin David Slaton is not just a hired gun, he is a family man. Looking back through the series, he met his wife in Book 1. Between then and now, they have been married a few years, have a son Davy, and another baby on the way. Because of this David looks at jobs differently, assesses the risks differently.
There are a lot of themes flowing through but I didn’t feel overwhelmed. They all connected with a, sort of an old vs new element to each of them.
I like the number of strong, capable female characters in the story.
I did feel like it was more telling than showing, but that could be due to all of the details that were included.
I am not sure about the conclusion of some of the storylines. I felt like something was missing (or maybe I just missed it). It did end with a lead-in for another book. All-in-all, it was a good read.
Thank you to #NetGalley for the opportunity to do an early read and share my thoughts on the story. Happy Reading!
Book Review – Assassin’s Mark – Ward Larsen Author Ward Larsen's nineth David Slaton book is probably the best in the action-adventure series! Former Israeli Mossad assassin, now CIA operative David Slaton appears again in “Assassin's Mark,” a hard-hitting, action-laden thriller full of drama, suspense, and intrigue. Slaton gets the call to find who ordered and implemented an assassination attempt on the POTUS. Marine One survives a high-tech drone attack and the president is clinging to life after the attack. The vice president invokes the 25th Amendment – becoming President – and sends Slaton to the Far East to eliminate those involved in the assassination attack. During his search for those responsible for the assassination occurrence, Slaton confirms that there is a high-level traitor in the U.S. government and is eventually targeted himself by a clever and ruthless assassin who is just as lethal as he is. The action is non-stop, Larsen’s aviation theatrics are amazing, and the storyline and characters are profoundly deep. This is a lively, rollercoaster ride conspiracy thriller. Larsen skillfully and creatively continues to keep the Slaton series fresh, relevant, and rousing. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it’s definitely my favorite in the series!
Assassin David Slaton still lives in Idaho with his now expanding family. No sooner does he find out on the news that there has been an attempted assassination on the President, his CIA handler Anna Sorenson requests he come to DC.
All available intel is pointing to the Trident group- terrorists that have been launching attacks on the US. Slaton is tasked with killing the three leaders of the group. The op to remove the first identied Trident head is quickly planned and goes extremely smoothly. No sooner is that done, the other two are found and another op planned. Slaton's sense that something is wrong permeates the ops and indeed the second goes radically wrong-Slaton is injured, his comms cut off and he has to fend for himself. Turns out there is a mole in US high level govt, pulling the strings and removing all evidence of their culpability. For me it was between two suspects and the ending was just.
Meanwhile, his family's CIA protection is changed and he has to see to their safety from afar as the acting President and new CIA director think keeping Slaton's family in their grasp will force Slaton to complete the mission but David plans ahead to keep them safe so he can do his job.
So, although I have read Ward Larsen before, I believe this is the first of his John Slaton books that I’ve read…and this is #9.
That being said, it can certainly be read as a stand alone, as that’s what I just did, and didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything.
Slaton is an assassin for the US government…and a very good one at that.
After a bunch of mishaps, the latest being an attempt to kill the president, he is called in to take care of the problem. As he has ‘the problem’ in his sights, he starts to feel like this is all just too good to be true…and, the bottom falls out from under him!!
He is literally around the world, and now he is in danger!!
This is another one where you will find yourself sucking in air, sitting on the edge of your seat, and…reminding yourself to breathe!!
5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me!
Thanks to #NetGalley and #MacmillanAudio for an ARC of the audiobook WHICH IS DUE TO BE RELEASED ON 11.28.23.

The latest David Slaton follows after the previous Assassin’s Edge and continues into the investigation of the sinister international Trident, and this time, David is embroiled under the radar, as well as dealing with the ramification of Beltway politics and a probable mole in the White House. Some of the previous players are back like Sorensen, his kick-ass CIA controller, Jammer, President Cleveland, Christine and Davy. The spy craft is well detailed, and adds to the always growing foreboding Tone and increases the Pace of the page turning. Larsen does CH, Setting, and armaments and tech (drones) well (with not too much detail but enough for those craving the techno-thriller aspects will not be disappointed). The Plotting contains the requisite twists. I care about David and appreciate his need for justice even if it is sometimes delivered off-the-grid, and his over-riding need to protect his family. One must start with the first in this series, The Perfect Assassin in order to truly appreciate the CH development and it stands as one of my all-time favorite spy thrillers. Definite must for readers who crave more when waiting for a Daniel Silva, or has enjoyed a Jason Matthews, Jack Carr, Frederick Forsyth or early Ludlum.
I have now read all nine of Ward Larsen's David Slaton series. I can say without hesitation that this is my favorite. Something goes awry on a mission that causes David to hesitate. And hesitation is not a good thing for an assassin. We read that a little voice in his head says to miss an easy shot of a target. And that causes a cascade of peril and chaos from those in charge. We also discover that, unlike James Bond, David Slaton is vulnerable to getting hurt and sometimes requires the help of others to succeed. I find this trait to be a pleasant change from a lot of other thrillers. Add a little more insight to his private life at home and it's a perfect addition to what has become one of my favorite series. Buy this book, and his previous eight of the series, now if you haven't already. You can thank me later.
The author has delivered a fast paced and deliciously wicked tale. The characters are well rounded and come across as believable, whether you love them or hate them. This is a taut, character-driven psychological thriller, filled with suspicion and tension. Larsen has a wonderful imagination and creates very realistic and disturbing scenarios. This is a well-written, suspenseful, edge-of-your-seat thriller will leave you breathless at times in anticipation of the next twist in the plot. Don’t start reading this book if you are not prepared to stay up all night.
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio who provided me with a copy of this book. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I had never heard of this series or this author until I stumbled across this book and what a discovery it has been especially since I have had to catch up on the who series.
In what can be read as a standalone, each book of this series has had me on the edge of my seat. In this addition, David is on a mission to find out who attempted to assassinate the President of the United States and to end the group The Trident.
With the return of past characters, this was an action packed read that had a few twists that I did not expect. And the action occurs right up until the end of the book. And just when you think that things are going to slow down for David and his family - one discovers that they are wrong.
Overall this was a great book that I would recommend to others.
The Assassin series by Ward Larsen has become one of my most anticipated novels of the year, and is in the must buy category for me!
Assassin's Mark picks up in the heels of Assassin's Edge. It delivers pulse pounding action from the get go, and there is little recovery time before the action ramps back up throughout the entire book. Marine One is downed in DC en route to the White House. POTUS is left clinging to life, and the 25th Amendment is enacted, and the VP becomes acting POTUS. Intelligence quickly determines that the Trident is behind this attack. Fortunately one member of the elusive group has been identified, and a kill package is quickly assembled.
Slaton leaves home and heads to Asia to complete the mission and also follow up with tracking the other members. Intelligence data flows quickly, and targets identified. It almost seems too easy, and is certainly a different operating model than Slaton is accustomed to.
Well developed characters, hard hitting action sequences, and plot lines are all hallmarks of the series, and readers will not be disappointed with Assassin's Mark!
Thanks to the author, publisher, and also BTS Designs for giving me an advance copy of the book in exchange for my thoughts and opinions.
