The Tempests are a family I was absolutely captivated by in the first book. Revenge is the follow-up, and I couldn't help but grin when I knew I had a copy of the book! Kerry Kaya hasn't written a bad book yet, and by this books' standards, I dare say she never will!
Tracy Tempest has dealt with the fallout from her husbands death. She is after a quiet life. As long as her boys are fine, she is happy. Max is still around, and everything's ticking over nicely until it's not! Max's car garage is torched, and it seems someone's not happy, but who? And why? There are some secrets still that Tracy is yet to find out about and find out she does. What will the outcome be? Will it be war on all fronts or not?
I love Tracy. If there was ever a strong woman, she is exactly that! Kerry Kaya certainly keeps the action, and the fire in the Tempest story fanned to the fullest with Revenge. All the familiar characters return from the first book, and there are a few new ones added to get to know.
Kerry Kaya's style of writing just sucks me right in straight away. I feel like I'm back with a family I know so well. Her characterisations are excellent and give an authentic feel to them. The grit and down to earth feel is still there, too. I now think of Kerry as being on a par with Mandasue Heller or Kimberley Chambers. She writes as well as these other authors with as much realism, too.
I read Revenge in one sitting, I just didn't want to stop reading. I needed to know how it would all pan out for them all. I almost inhaled this book. It went so quickly. Before I knew it, I was at the epilogue, which was a fabulous one, I must say! There was never a dull moment reading this. The action and tension were right there constantly. Yes, another belter from Kerry Kaya and I am now sad, because I have to wait for another book!
