A very competent guide to the art of food styling, intended for professionals entering the field. Since I'm just an curious reader, not an aspiring food stylist, I was a little out of my depth with much of this text, yet I found it fascinating none the less. My appreciation for food photographs has grown as a result of this book and the details it reveals about the careful art and science of arranging food to look good on film. Viva home ec!
Probably the most comprehensive food styling text book you can find. It's a hugely valuable resource. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is, I think it could do with being updated as it was written quite a long time ago now.
Delores Custer has written the definitive book on Food Styling. She covers all of the tools and techniques necessary to be a proficient stylist. Tons of information and great photos throughout. Until someone writes something better, this is the "go to" book on the subject.
