Stacie & Cole

Rate this book
Stacie and Cole have been in love since the beginning of high school. Their heads should be up in the clouds, but lately it's all been about sins and secrets that threaten to tear their love apart.
Stacie's dad is acting way more overprotective than usual. And what's up with her best friend being so shady lately? Even Cole has been testing her. Stacie loves him more than anything, but she's not sure she's ready to take their relationship to that level just yet.
Cole is ready to take their relationship further. Feeling abandoned by his dad- and harassed for being a virgin by his trash-talking boys- he's trying to learn intimacy any way he can.
Stacie and Cole have always been close- but with lust and lies at every turn, they discover if their love really has no limit.

SPOlier Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stacie, best friend Donesha was one grimy snow bunny. Neither one of them seen it coming. When I first started this book I knew she was up to no good. Glad they found out how grimy she really was at the end. Funny how she still ain't get cole after she took his virginity dumb a77 snow bunny. Karma's a mothers hen. And in the end he still wanted Stacie and Stacie wanted Cole. And DOnesha lost both her "friends''. I know the feeling of someone cheating on you that Spit hurts, but you'll always come out as the winner and they come out as the loser. Cole wasn't as bad as my ex, shxt she was more like Stacie best friend DOnesha, a straight up grimy, don't care about no one but herself and like to hurt people.

R.M. Johnson managed to do a pretty good job with this- when I found out that the main female character was a virgin not wanting to have sex I immediately thought the book wouldn't go over well with me. I assumed it would be just like every other book like it's kind.
This was more than that, a good story that an adult could get into as well as a child. There are lessons to be learned throughout the book at the same time.
I'd hand this to a teenager in a second, any teenager.

Stacie and Cole have been dating for years and now that they are in love, Cole's friends are telling him he should be getting sex from Stacie. But Stacie has a sister that was kicked out because she got pregnant and had a baby, and even though she understands Cole's arguments in favor of having sex, she just can't do it. I really liked this book, but I have to wonder if kids like Stacie and Cole will confide in their parents about this stuff. I don't think so, but I am going to booktalk it and let the students tell me what they think, hopefully I will be surprised!

This book me so angry I had to tell my best friend about how angry I was from reading this dang book shoot Cole was so stupid. Like he couldn't see the signs of how Donesha dress and act and try to get him to come over and or come upstairs to his room.Like boy, you aren't learn anything? Instead, he gave Stacie best friend his virginity when he could've given Stacie his virginity, and they could've lost it together when the time was right. Smh. I couldn't stand Donesha because she wasn't a TRUE friend at all. This why she didn't want Stacie to have sex with Cole because her bimbo self-wanted Cole for herself. Smh.

BTW: I'm glad Stacie forgave Cole.
Her dad forgave Stacie sister Mya.
And Cole mom forgave his father.

Lordy, this book had me so tight I had so many emotions reading this book. Like ugh, Donesha was shady as they come. I think she wanted to become Staci friend just to get Cole back. And Cole didn't want her even after she took his virginity. I just wish he was thinking with his upper head and not his lower head because one Staci wasn't getting those messages Cole was telling Donesha shady self to say to her. She was so grimy I wanted to be one of the characters in the book so I could whoop her butt her Staci If I had a friend like that man I'll whoop that tail. Especially if we've been cool for a long time. I'm just glad everyone forgave each other in the end everyone deserves a second chance besides Donesha. She deserved a beat down lmao.

While the pressures of sex plague teens all the time, having that coupled with friends who stab you in the back, a father who leaves his family behind because of drug use and receiving pressure from your friends to lose your virginity, you will have the makings of a teen drama.I would have given this book more than three stars but I felt the ending was lacking any substance. It just ends without a since of closure.
