About the author

Simon Garner (BA, MA, Barrister at Law) studied English Literature and Philosophy in London and Sussex. He worked as an English teacher in Germany before returning to London to train as a barrister. He is a passionate advocate of urban living, he regards the café as the second highest achievement of civilization (after the Routemaster bus). He lives in London and is addicted to caffeine.

An interesting and informative account of, not only the land marks and must sees that exist in Berlin but also the History that has led to them being what they are today and Germany as a whole. I particularly like the fact that there is a list of added reading in relation to the book - I will definitely be reading some of the titles which include such titles as Goodbye to Berlin by Christopher Isherwood.
