This book explains why some missionaries are rejecting the models and methodologies most widely accepted by North American evangelical missionaries working in France. The author demonstrates that the witness by Protestant missionaries in Western Europe is often ineffective because of their paradigms and ministry methods.
This book was written for a very small, and particular audience. I happen to be in that audience. While I don't agree with all the assessments and perspectives that Bjork puts forward in this text, there is much wisdom to gain. Our experience has been different than his but aligns in very important ways. There should be no place for antagonism within the work of the Church and ministry.
