After all these years, I still miss this man's witty, insightful, challenging, erudite, often touching reviews in the Globe and Mail.

once i wanted to be a filmmaker. this book started me on serious critical exploration of even current film. of course, these films are now considered classic old work from the 80s. saw them new...
