An army brat born in England and now living in Canada, Ann grew up loving history, but majored in business, with history on the side. She has a husband and two lovely daughters and a Maltese Terrier called Teaser, who likes to sit on a chair beside the computer while she works.
Her love of the past and the stories in her imagination led her to write her first novel in 2000, a never-see-the-light-of-day-effort, and after having her first book published in 2006, she knew she'd found her niche.
She loves the Georgian era, and within that, the period known as the long Regency. She also adores happy endings.
You will find her books in bookstores in the month of issue, as well as on line at Mills and Boon or E-harlequin.
The Laird and the Wanton Widow. Now a days people are writing stories that are paranormal romance (which I do read), They are writing love stories of this century (which I also happen to read). But I don't find a lot of Authors who write from a different Century (well I have found some but they were paranormal, this story though is not paranormal). What authors I have read that Try to write from another Century do not always get a lot of the details spot on. Although I have found a few here and there. Ann has been one of those with the spot on details for the books from a different Century. So don't miss the chance to learn and fall in love and imagine yourself in the clothing and life back then.
When Kate was younger and in Edinburgh, she was in love with Harry LeClere, Lord Godridge. But a lack of trust and a belief he was unfaithful drove her to marry another, only to find out Harry was innocent. Now, years later, Kate is a widow and Harry seems to be wooing Kate's younger cousin. This was just okay. I think the situation called for a lot more hard feelings and bitterness to be resolved than there seemed to be here. Harry at least seemed to start out with a sense of outrage, but it quickly fizzled into desperation to have Kate again. It was somewhat disappointing, although it was an enjoyable story.
