Sydney Harlow is a twenty-three-year-old starry-eyed romantic who believes every love story should end in a happily ever after. But past experience has shown her that’s not always the case. Sydney may appear to be the shy new girl in town, but she’s a woman on a mission to seek out the truth behind a love story so beautiful and tragic it could only be real. What she doesn’t expect is to find a man and play a leading role in her very own love story. But Sydney isn’t the simple, sweet girl she claims to be. Lies, secrets, and a concealed connection to a member of East may jeopardize her chance for a happily ever after.
For the past year, prospect Ryder Coleman’s only goal was to prove himself to the Ghosttown East Motorcycle Club and become a full-fledged brother. Always loyal, trustworthy, and level-headed, Ryder has worked hard to become a member, but he isn’t without his faults and secrets. A private connection to another club’s leader has stayed buried his entire life but is about to be exposed. With all the pressure and uncertainty in his future, the last thing Ryder needs is a distraction. But here she is. Grooves’ newest waitress is proving to be the only woman Ryder can’t resist.
Two secret connections, two individual journeys to uncover the truth, and two virtual strangers. The past isabout to collide with the present and threaten to derail their futures.
Amelia Shea writes contemporary romance. She released her debut novel in 2015, and has followed her passion for series romance ever since. Her writing style includes a little sweet, a little sassy and lots of steam. She loves building stories with settings that become comfortable and familiar, and developing characters who feel real, and though they may be flawed, they learn and grow, and finally deserve a happy ending. When she is not writing, she is obsessed with reading (all genres although she does has a soft spot for romance), coffee (it's more of an addiction but she prefers obsession) and perfecting her "y'all" (just a northern girl living in the south).
Ryder Coleman is a man with a plan. He has been prospecting at Ghosttown East for the past year, his sole focus is working, prospecting and sticking with his plans. He doesn't want a distraction and Sydney Harlow is a distraction. She is sweet, beautiful, and checks every box of Ryders, but he want to get his patch before he goes there.
Sydney has her own reasons for moving to Lowry. Reasons she is not going to divulge but as she gets closer to Ryder, some of the carefully guarded secrets slip out. As Ryder and Sydney start beginning as a couple though, the secrets both are keeping have a way of revealing itself and a storm is brewing that has Ryder and Sydney taking each others back but will the club do the same?
I have been so excited waiting for this book and it exceeded every expectation I had. It is emotional, at times raw and utterly heartbreaking at times. The book is amazing, a definite rollercoaster of a ride.
What I've seen of Ryder through out this series had been good, he's been a favorite. But man...this book had the drama, so much drama. Club drama, parental drama, brother drama, old drama, familial drama and not all of it was with Ryder at the center, just most of it.
It was fun to see Sydney and Ryder dance around each other. I loved that when Ryder felt more solid in his life he went for Sydney, from there they were pretty much done, a couple, no questions, everyone happy for them and they each had someone at their backs when the drama came.
I didn't expect the blow up after Ryder got patched in and he told everyone who his father was, but I especially didn't expect Con to be the most vocal and angry about it. I mean Con is an ass, but this felt over the top. Even later when it seemed like things were going to shit in Ghosttown, I didn't believe Con when he tried to help. And when things did go to shit...boy it was ugly.
I didn't expect the time out period at Caden's to help at all, but it did. Ryder got to know that part of his family and work his magic on Jack's bike. I didn't think Kase would come around, but liked how things turned out for these 2. Nothing they could do about the past, but there was a lot they could do about the future.
We knew Sydney was hiding something, I had even guessed what an when she told Ryder it made me smile. Grain is one of the older brothers who makes me smile when he's on the page, awkward as hell, but a good guy. We've gotten his side of things through the series, so it was interesting to see a different side and to see Sydney so smitten with him because she felt like she knew him. When that blow up happened and the truth came out...it was another holy cow moment with lots of yelling. Not much resolved there and it should be interesting to see what comes of it.
I liked how this one ended, nice to see Ryder and Sydney happy and living life with all their family.

This was definitely one of the stories I was most excited for and it totally didn't let me down! Great storyline, tons of twists and turns, and plenty of nuggets for what's to come. Wouldn't be an Amelia Shea book without an emotional ride complete with some tears. Can't wait for Grain's book!
I have loved Ryder since I met him, and to have his girl be a book loving, romance reading little nerd made my heart sing. He deserved this sassy girl.
This author world builds with the best of them. The way she intertwines Ghosttown Riders with Ghosttown East is not only genius, but believable. I am mesmerized with how she lets her characters be so flawed (not my sweet Ryder), but others. I mean Kase Reilly is a bona fide a$shole, and yet I am still always rooting for him. When he is vulnerable, such as this example…. “I don’t even remember her.”, my heart broke for him.
On the other hand, nothing will make me truly like Con!
Seriously, read both these series… Ghosttown Riders and Ghosttown East and fall in love with a biker. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Psssst- last thing - Go Pete, I love your awkward self!
A solid 3.5 star read. The story moves kinda slow the secret about Ryders father is revealed and a set up for the next book. That's about all that happens.
To say I was excited for the release of Ryder and Sydney story was an understatement. I knew I wanted to read Ryder story the moment he started prospecting for East and us readers started to get glimpses of him in Amelia other books. When the time finally came where Ryder wanted to tell his story, in his words… I was eager and waiting. All I can say was it didn’t disappoint. This book had peaked every emotion, I was up till 2 am reading! I laughed, cried, felt anger, sadness and joy that my emotions was like riding a rollercoaster. Sydney was the perfect calm to Ryders storm. If we’re honest we all see a little Sydney in each of us. She’s funny, awkward, shy, naive, intelligent but most of all fearlessly loyal to Ryder and she wears her heart in her sleeve. This book has me excited for what the future holds not only East but for Ghosttown. There is so many unanswered questions, so many possibilities and most of all so many more stories that need to be told. I stumbled across Amelia books and I’m so glad I did. She’s become one of my go to authors. I’d recommend start with Ghosttown than Ghosttown East and enjoy the amazing and intricate stories that unfold between these two clubs and the unlikely brotherhood, respect and family that’s formed.
4.75 stars. I was looking forward to Ryder’s book for a while. It did not disappoint. Ryder remained true to form as the quiet, solid and kind guy we met in previous books. His love interest, Sydney, had a unique and interesting tie to East that brought her into the club’s orbit. Both Ryder and Sydney were very sweet, sometimes I missed the assholery normally association with East members!
The evolution of Ryder’s relationship with Kase was probably my favorite part of the story. I was never a huge Kase fan but his redeeming qualities came through in this book. I’m assuming that Grain will get his own book, maybe as a prequel? Looking forward to that because Regina was pretty epic.
The only thing that bugged me in this book was Ryder’s relationship with Dahlia. I know they were just friends but… when Ryder puts down a marker with Trey in order to get Dahlia an interview at The Bowery… I was irked. I get that Dahlia has a crush on Trey but is the bartending job that great of a gig that she HAS to work there after being repeatedly turned down? It was just weird and I would have been annoyed if I were Sydney. Even Trey suggests this “Trey eyed him, then shifted his gaze to Sydney. “You don’t mind your man going this hard for another woman?”. Of course Sydney was too nice to be bothered but I would have been!

I loved this book so much and Ryder did NOT disappoint in not one single sentence. So so so good! Amelia has done the whole family justice….brillant writing, absolutely brillant. The entire Ghosttown and East family is one excellent, can’t miss book after another. This book is special though because the present LITERALLY meets and collides with the past! If only Jack could see Ryder! Seeing how Cade, Kase, Trevor….everyone handled finding out about Ryder…. A-freaking-mazing! Sydney, well moments I wanted to throat punch her but she is a hopeless romantic just like the rest of us! Lol. And Con is an a$$ but I love him! I can’t wait for the wedding, I can’t wait for Grain, I can’t wait for Trey….everything. I’m sitting on pins and needles. But this one….Ryder is my heart….this is an excellent read. Thank you for giving us your gift of writing! Everyone needs to find Ghosttown and start reading!
Out of all the Ghost town East books this one is the best so far and that's saying something.
I actually love these books, but Ryder and Sydney's story really got to me on a deeper level. What happened to Ryder's mom when he was ten months old, and Sydney's lack of parents as a child. Ryder had Lil who is a great mom and Ryder always loves her and respects her. Sydney's parental guidance comes from her Aunt Gee who is colorful and unapologetic. Yet Sydney is sweet and kind and loving even being raised by a rough family. Ryder and Sydney together area great team. This book had me laughing and I was crying at the end of this book wishing that Jack could have know his grandson. I am glad Ryder was able to meet and be a part of his father's family after they got past the misunderstanding. I love that Sydney loves reading and romance. I guess she will always be my favorite character. I love reading as much as Sydney does.
This is book nine and what a surprising story this turned out to be. I was surprised that the Ghosttown East MC was related to a couple other MC’s that I read their books and stories. These characters are some of my favorites with Kase, Saint, Caden, and Hades. Remember sweet Jack Reilly and his final ride, oh so touching. When Gunner called them for backup, I was surprised because I figured he would call The Underground. There were a couple of MC’s all showed up as part of the storyline in the previous book and this book too. This is the book for the one of the newest brother named Ryder. As you know from reading the other books in this series, Ryder is a gem. He has helped each of his fellow MC brothers with their old ladies or Girlfriends. Well Ryder was as Grooves and met Sydney. She made an impression. Sydney has a secret. Ryder is a bonus but Sydney is on a mission. A really good epilogue. Read On!
I've been waiting with bated breath for this book and it's been a challenge to my patience. But now? It's all worth it. If you've never read Amelia Shea's books before? Just do it! Start at the very beginning for Ghosttown and you won't regret it. Guaranteed if you like rough main male characters, you'll get hooked quick fast and in a hurry and by the time Grain comes out, you'll be waiting along with the rest of us addicts.
Don't wait!
The Prospect is about the nicest man in any of the Ghosttown books. Ryder is the sweetest, most perfect, adorable, fantastic man in the town. Of course there has to be some drama. If you've read the other books you'll enjoy the Caden, Trevor, Riss, and Kase guest roles.
Prospect, Ryder Coleman has been in many of the Ghosttown East books, so we know about his background story, but other main characters in the series don’t and it could be explosive when they find out. By accident the bombshell is dropped and fireworks fly. Sydney and Ryder are a perfect couple, but Syd has a secret about why she is in town and that can of worms is eventually opened too. Amelia is a fantastic storyteller, woven into the book are other characters stories having us guessing what is in store in future books. Ghosttown is one of my favourite series, always full of action, plot twists, drama, angst and tension and laughter, it just gets better and better with each book.
I loved this story. Ever since finding out that secret of Ryder’s, I was looking forward to this and seeing how it played out. Kase didn’t disappoint in being his usual a-hole self and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love how seeing Kase interact with the women and come around and softening just enough for them. Ryder is so sweet and mature and my heart broke for him at times. Sydney was the perfect old lady supporting her man. And I love the surprise connection Sydney has to one of my favorite members! I can’t wait to see how that plays out soon. I loved this book and it has quickly become a favorite.
Dang you Amelia Shae for making me cry happy tears. My gosh…what a story!!!! Sydney and Ryder are absolutely amazing together. We get to see the prospect we’ve all come to know and love become a full patched member and find his way to a HEA. Lots of past secrets get spilled in this book. We get to visit with some dear friends from other series. But most importantly, we get to see these 2 kindhearted, beautiful souls find each other and see how they support one another and fall in love. By the end of the book, you’ll be in love with both of them. I LOVED, LOVED , LOVED this book.
I have been patiently waiting for Ryder's story since The Wildcard, when it was revealed who he actually is. Once I started, I didn't stop until I finished, and it was everything I anticipated. 💕 🚲
While each book can be read as a standalone, it would be better to start with The Favor (the very first book of the Ghosttown Riders series) in order to better understand the actions of some of the characters and their backstory. I believe I can safely say that you won't be disappointed. 😊
I never read a series in numerical order, but which ever one grabs my attention. Have loved Ry from the beginning and saved his story for last but was very disappointed in it. Very slow and just couldn’t keep my attention, started it several times before i forced myself to finish it. Didn’t get into it until maybe midway through then had a hard time putting it down. The part with Inez/Killcreek MC was left hanging since they were mentioned several times….always irritating when a big part is left hanging.
Awesome, fantastic, emotional and beautiful. What an inspiring story, I absolutely loved Ryder and Sydney’s book ❤️❤️❤️ I kept waiting for that moment when everything was out In the open, boom, it exploded. I enjoyed reading about their journey together, Sydney loved him enough to have his back from the very beginning as Ryder loved her. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I've waited so long for this book that I worried it wouldn't be as good as the hype. I was wrong. It was better. As with all books by this author, it has all the feels. I love that Kase is practically an a**hole, I love the relationship between Ryder and Sydney, and I love the Reilly family dynamics. And again, the author gave be my favorite couple dynamics, alpha H with quirky h. Loved this book. Waiting on my paperback.
Sydney had the best intentions for her being in Lawry, and the best was meeting Ryder and falling in love. Ryder finally meets his dad for the first time in twenty three years, and oh boy what an interesting meeting that turned out to be. Grain has always been one of my favorites, and his enthusiasm for Ryder was not what anyone expected, but he meant well. Sydney's secret was a little tougher for him to handle, but probably predictable. Happy reading.
When Sydney meets Ryder they both want each other but Ryder is focused on becoming a brother. Sydney was hiding the fact she knew about Ghosttown East MC and couldn't wait to meet a certain brother. Like a kid in a candy store Sydney realizes her dream but their are consequences. Has their story unravels we learn how deep they love each other and secrets always come to light. Happy reading
I always worry that when I’m so deep in a series that an upcoming book might disappoint me but every single book has been amazing. I fall harder into ghostown every single book.
Ryders book tied up so many loose ends and brought everyone together. It really cements the core values of an MC. Brotherhood and family.
What an awesome story!!! These two are my new favorite. Kase continued his asshole persona when he first finds out he has a son thanks to Grain’s big mouth as usual. The story gets so much better, the love story is sweet and hot and we find out some things in prep for Grain’s story. LOVED it!!!❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been looking forward to this book since Ryder was first introduced, and it did not disappoint! Ryder and Sydney’s story was perfect and sweet. All the Reilly’s making an appearance, memories of Jack and even a mention of the original Colleen! I’m excited for Grain’s book next, and maybe in the future we can get a second generation series!
What a truly fantastic read. Amelia did herself proud on this one. Ryder finally let's Kase know he's his son, with Grains bumbling help. Sydney has her own secrets all wrapped up in Grain. I loved these two as a couple, they understood right from the start the importance of putting each other first. Was great to catch up with the Riders. Can't wait for Grain's book.
Have a box of tissues at the ready. There was so much in this book, but it was all in the best way. I want to say so much, but it would spoil things and this should really just be read and loved and enjoyed. Ryder and Sydney are just so wonderful together, but the bigger family picture is what absolutely stole this book. Now, could we maybe please and thanks get a HEA for Grain? oh Grain...
This book was amazing! The main storyline between Ryder and Sydney was done beautifully....this is one book that I will re-read over again! The secondary story between father and son was so well done..the meeting between them was a Kase one all the way. The Reilly family came together to make sure that the family always comes first.
Amelia Shea’s books are like comfort food. You just know you’re going to love it, yet you’re always surprised by how good it is! I loved Ryder’s story. The cameos from the Riders were a great addition to the plot. I wasn’t expecting them! We all love to hate Kase! So glad to be a part of this family. I can’t wait for the next one!
