A good resource for learning how the lives of ordinary women fit into the history of the world. Since most history books focus on men and wars, this info is not readily available. I like how history is divided into Ancient, Dark, Middle Ages, Modern, 19, 20 centuries and how women lived their lives during those times. A good book to skim, then keep on a shelf for reference to the various outstanding women of each period
