It’s 1869, and chaos rules Silver City. As Rebekah Weaver recovers from an accident that has left her badly burned, she worries that her father’s handsome new assistant won’t see past her scarred exterior. Deputy Marshal Nathaniel Kirkland is working undercover to investigate a series of explosions in the mines and businesses of Silver City. When ominous notes begin appearing on townspeople’s doors, Nate needs Rebekah’s help to uncover the identity of the perpetrator. As they work together, Nate begins to speculate that Rebekah’s "accident" was really a case of intentional sabotage - and that she might still be in danger.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Pre Teens- One Star New Teens- One Star Early High School Teens- Three Stars Older High School Teens- Four Stars My personal Rating- Three Stars (and a half) This historical novel focused I’d say 40% on romance and 60% on the mystery. Yes, that is pretty even spilt, I know, but most historical books I’ve read that mention a mystery on the back-cover are typically 80/20 or even 90/10, so this was refreshing in that way. I really enjoyed the Spiritual Content in this book and the romance was sweet.
This book was SO CUTE! I love cheesy Christian books 10/10! Nate and Rebekah (aside from the fact that they ACTUALLY HAD NORMAL NAMES FOR ONCE AND WEREN’T NAMED SOMETHING STUPID LIKE AHASUERUS AND JEMIMAH!!1!1!1!1!1!1) were absolutely the most perfect couple to be written about. I love the plot, loved their slow decent into love, and enjoyed the author’s writing style. I also found a mistake, which was exciting, as I have never found a mistake in print before.
I loved that the ending actually surprised me. Henry being (partially) responsible for all of the notes and fires and what it was actually shocking! I thought Thomas would be way too easy, so I was betting on the Sheriff being the baddie in the situation. I enjoyed being proved incorrect and it added to the suspense.
The ending, of course, cute cute cute. I have another book by this author and I have decided to exchange my TBR pile to read it next!

3.5 stars... I think the title is misleading because the book was a lot of mystery and a little romance. The mystery was good... I thought I solved it, then realized I was wrong... But I had hoped for more romance. Not a bad book at all, just depends on what kind of story you're expecting.
So many secrets in this mining town. Mysterious notes and shadowy strangers coincide with explosions in the mines and people moving away. What is happening in Silver City? Undercover Deputy Marshal Nathaniel Kirkland is here to find out. Is the sheriff involved? Is it a trusted family friend? Only one way to find out, read this gripping, inspirational and most enjoyable story!
Another very good LFY romance but with historical fiction and a bit of mystery thrown in to make it more interesting. An easy, enjoyable read with a main character, Rebekah, who I really enjoyed. Even through Rebekah carried burn scars on her face from an accident, she has a strong will and a strong faith that won't let her give up on life. As strange things take place during the mining days of Silver City Idaho, Rebekah stands up for those she loves and those people and things in which she believes.
I really liked that the faith message was strong in this book. Despite her hardships, Rebekah was firm in who she was and WHOSE she was, and it was that strength of character that attracted Nate to her, and ultimately reminded him of the faith his mother had taught him. I also enjoyed the mystery aspect of figuring out who was terrorising the town of Silver City. While I had various suspicions along the way, the final reveal of who and why was a bit of a surprise. 3.5 stars
A sweet historical romance about being your true self and loving people for who they are. Nate was a wonderful hero and Rebekah an amazing heroine. Their interaction had such sincerity and the chemistry between them was beautiful. A nice read overall!
Not the type of book I would ever have chosen to read under other circumstances, I found myself stuck in an airport on a 7-hour flight delay and someone in the airport gave me this book. It was very simple, but a quick read.
I had forgotten how much I love Christian romance. I just love the way that the men in the stories show love to the women despite their faults and insecurities and this case their scars. This demonstration of love mirrors my experience of God's love for me, especially through his community.
Such a great book. The Pastor's message in this book really spoke to me and made me do some reflecting. This book also reminded of how God looks at our hearts not our appearances.
Christian romance novels aren’t my favorite because they are all so similar, but this one was interesting from the beginning. Had great characters and plot.
Pretty good. I did not see the ending coming at all!! Part of me wishes it would have been different, but it was still a good story! Rebekah lives in Silver City, Idaho with her family. It is a mining town and a lot of accidents and explosions have been ruining businesses. In comes Nate Kirkland, an undercover Deputy Marshall assigned to Silver to find the people responsible for all the 'accidents'. Naturally, Rebekah falls for him, but she has her own issues to deal with. It soon becomes a race to save Rebekah's family and the livelyhood's of many of Silver's citizens before lives are lost. Will Rebekah and Nate's budding relationship take hold, or will Rebekah face yet another loss?
This is one of the better books from the "Love Finds You In" books I've read. I liked that this was more from a male perspective than the usual female one. Nate is heading into Silver City, a mining town where people are hoping to strike it rich! It is set in the late 1800s after the Civil War. Rebekah is a young woman who has a scar on her face. When Nate comes to town, there are things that keep happening (troublesome things) and he hopes to help find the answer as he draws nearer to an answer. What I liked about this book was the way it talked about forgiveness and also the positive message of not thinking something about someone based on appearances, but to dig deeper. It was very good. I give it more of a 3.75 star rating (rather than the 4).
Nate is on a mission. A mission slightly delayed by having to fish a boy and his older sister, Rebekah, out of a creek. But that brief obstacle is nothing compared to the challenge of being an undercover deputy marshal tasked with finding the culprits behind the deadly bribery scheme in Silver City, Idaho.
Of course, the challenge would be easier if everybody in town—with the exception of Rebekah’s family—didn’t view him as suspicious.
Love Finds You in Silver City Idaho is more of a whodunit than your average Christian historical fiction. I enjoyed the relationship between the members of the Weaver family and their willingness to open their hearts to Nate.
Part girl-meets-handsome-stranger romance, part mystery, part Gold Rush-era historical fiction, Love Finds You in Silver City, Idaho was most certainly a great read. Was it spectacular? No...but it took much more advantage of its setting than the only other Love Finds You... book I've read, which makes it worth at least four stars. Even if you were disappointed by other entries in the multi-author romance series, you still might enjoy this one; I was, and I did.
Saw this title in the kindle books my library had available. I gave it a try due to the title. A clean romance set in Silver City, Idaho. I didn’t realize that it was a Christian romance until I got into the story. I found the religious references a little over the top, but that aside it was a fun, quick read
A good 'ol Western blackmail story with some religion thrown into the mix. I enjoyed this one and I liked that the heroine wasn't perfectly beautiful but still strong and pleasant. The ending and reveal of who was behind the blackmailing was a bit disappointing and anticlimactic. I might've given this book another star if it had been wrapped up better.
I am embarrassed to say that I picked this romantic Christian novel up at the library to read. I don't read this venue ever, but I used to play and camp in Silver City Idaho with my kids when they were little. So I read it because of the setting. Cute little story.
I did enjoy reading this story, although I didn't feel it was written quite as well as some of the Love Finds books. I will read another of her books and see what I think overall to be fair. It's one where the nicer man has become bad...
I loved the story of Nate and Rebekah and the different battles that they had to fight to find their faith and eventually, each other. There were some neat characters in this town that rounded out the book very nicely.
