Fly with the fairies of Pixie Hollow in two tales of friendship starring Tinker Bell’s friend Rani!
Rani and the Three Treasures In this brand-new story, a water sprite named Dab has tricked Rani into looking after a whole flock of rain clouds! Dab won’t take the clouds back unless Rani answers a riddle about Pixie Hollow’s three greatest treasures. But Rani doesn’t know what those treasures might be—and meanwhile, Pixie Hollow is getting very damp!
Rani in the Mermaid Lagoon Poor Rani! It isn’t easy being the only fairy in Pixie Hollow without wings. In fact, she isn’t sure she belongs with the other fairies at all. Rani’s search for a new home leads her underwater, deep into the lagoon, where the mermaids live. Rani doesn’t quite fit in with the mermaids, either. But maybe they can help her find out who her true friends are!

3.5 stars. This seems to be the only place to read Rani and the Three Treasures, and as I decided to read the entire series, I had to track down a used copy on-line.
Was it worth the effort? Eh. I guess, given not a lot of effort was involved.
As with all the books in this series, the illustrations are pretty. I thought the story had a lot of imagination in how Rani uses her water magic at the beginning. The idea of having a pet rain cloud was pretty darn cute, even if the cloud didn't have a ton of personality. I also liked the conflict, how Rani is tricked. The "three treasures" she has to find are somewhat obvious. I didn't guess all three exactly, but figured it would be something along those lines. But the story worked, low stakes and kind friends, a nice book for young readers.
So I only read the first of the two stories, as I have the second book as a single paperback and the first story was one of the worst books I've read. That said, the illustrations were still lovely so I will give it 2 stars instead of one. Read the original fairy books, not this garbage.
Rani met a creature that was made out of water, and it asked it to take care of it's clouds. Rani said yes. Everybody in pixie hollow did not like the rain. Rani saw the disippointed fairies so she decided to go away for a while.
When she came back she saw all the fairies busy at work outside. When they saw the clouds coming they all started to get everything outside.
Tinker bell came two Rani and said when she went to go on a little vacation again she would be coming with her.
One of the best of the Disney Fairy series. But of course, Rani's one of my favorite fairies in Pixie Hollow, so I might be biased. Still, the illustrations of Dab the water sprite, and the descriptions of her laughter, cast her as a scary, nearly evil character. Surprising, but cool, to see that in these books.
I love Rani. I need to find the book where she gives up her wings to save Neverland!
After we finished reading, I told my 6 year old "hey! We can finally take it back to the library!" She started crying and said: "I wanted to read it again though!!" ;)
