Sky Lightman is a geek's geek and a Dad's son. He's the bright star at Cybronics - a cutting edge technology company with a suspect multibillionaire founder. When Sky disappears, his father steps into a technical world that is all too humanly dangerous. This is a first novel by an author who is absolutely worth watching. This story has some dubious leaps and gets close to the edge of credibility but manages to stay in bounds. I was totally sucked in from word one, even with the flaws. I hope he has the second novel well under way!
This book was adequate. I read it for my library's reading challenge. I'm not much of a mystery person, but I do like hacker/techo-thrillers. So the story of Cliff, Sky, and his wife Eliza (now dead and represented in a computer avatar created by computer genius Sky) appealed to me. It was a good story all and all, but could've been about 1/3 shorter which would have moved it from adequate to good.
