Every two months Jefferson sublets his stylish Soho apartment. His tenants are always attractive young women. His studio has a perfect view of the apartment, and Jefferson secretly photographs his tenants as they go about their life. He expects his latest tenant, Maya, to be his masterpiece.
Fr. David Knowles, OSB, FRHistS was born Michael Clive Knowles and was given the name 'David' when he joined the Order of Benedict in 1923. He was a historian and professor at University of Cambridge from 1947 to 1968 and served as president of the Royal Historical Society from 1957 to 1961.
*Note: there is more than one author named 'David Knowles,' however this particular individual is the most widely published.
Story told from the point of view of a strange man in NYC who rents out an apartment across the street from his own and takes pictures of his tenants through a boarded up room in his apartment. He only rents to beautiful young women but has no contact with thim. Finally he rents to an Indian woman who mystically cures him of his voyeuristic habit. A little fluffy, but interesting twist.
... really enjoyed it! took me back to when i lived in Ny close to the streets mentioned in the book! at times the similarities between the book and me were uncanny! lol and by that I mean in some of the likes and dislikes.
