This is exactly what I needed. My fridge was leaking last night and this morning I had a debilitating toothache. I was able to at least get the fridge to stop leaking and then this morning I took some pain medicine and was out like a light for several hours. I woke up this evening in a funk. My tooth is still throbbing a bit, but not as bad as it was this morning. Dentist first thing tomorrow.

Anyway, I needed something to take my mind off things so I picked up this book. Pretty quickly I already felt at ease (yes, I realize this involves a murder), but the comfort of a book series and knowing the characters makes me feel good.

Unfortunately Kendra did get murdered asks of course the dynamic duo Suzie and Mary were at it again trying to find the killer. Was it Josh? Shawn said a blonde haired man was on the beach the same time the murder happened. And Josh is always avoiding Suzie and Mary. Can they believe Shawn though?

Try to keep up with Suzie, Mary, and their trusty dog Pilot as they run around asking questions trying to catch the killer!

Next is Book 26, Anchors and Abduction

This is the 25th book in this series; I haven’t read the whole series, but I’ve read the last 10 or so books. This book stands alone very well, though. I love that this series is set at a bed and breakfast at the ocean. The two main characters, one of whom inherited the B&B, though they run it together, are great amateur sleuths and since the sheriff is the cousin of one of the ladies, he doesn’t object to their input. They have a way of getting information out of people, but also of getting into dangerous spots. I really enjoy this series, and this book is an excellent addition, with a fun to solve mystery. I can definitely recommend this book and series; I was provided an arc, but these opinions are my own.

Great book!!!!

I totally love this series!!!!
Suzie and Mary have just a few guests, so they are getting a little break. Mary had talked Suzie into going to a yoga class on the beach, that one of their guests was starting a business, to get a idea how it will work.
Before the class started Mary had to walk Pilot and that was the beginning of a big complicated mess, as they came upon a person half in the water and half out. And one of their friends found the body.
Now the two questions are WHO? WHY? Suzie and Mary have to know and start their investigation. As Jason and Wes ask questions it gets enough more complicated with alot of dead ends. But, the woman's past has finally surfaced.
Now you need to get this book to find out.

When murder strikes close to Dune House, Mary and Suzie, who run the B&B together, are launched head first into another investigation. With little known about the victim, a house full of guests, and a handful of potential suspects, the women try to learn as much information as possible to pass along to Mary's cousin, the officer in charge of the investigation.

I love the friendship between Mary and Suzie as well as the men in their lives. This is a great series (I've read all 25 books) and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves cozy mysteries.

* I received an ARC from the author but this review is my honest opinion.

This is the second Cindy Bell book that I’ve read. The first one was from another series. This one was also provided as an ARC. This is the first that I’ve read from this series, but I will continue reading this one as well!

I truly enjoyed that I had no idea what twists were coming, and that it was unexpected. For a cozy mystery, there was a lot of tension and actual crime solving involved which was truly enjoyable. It was cozy but real and I really enjoyed that. I’ve enjoyed all of her books that I’ve read so far!

Lots of suspects in this interesting and twisting mystery, the two amateur sleuths investigate along with the police and friends. Complex plot kept me trying to solve the crime and intrigued throughout. Such a beautiful area where it's set but seems a shame that at some point people will not want to be there because of all the murders lol. Still I enjoyed it and look forward to the next.

I received this book as an ARC. This is my first read in this series. I felt this book could easily be read as a stand alone.

This series is set at a bed and breakfast at the ocean! 😍
The two FMC run the bed and breakfast together. When things happen - they are always able to get info out of people!

The book was a fun to solve mystery that kept me guessing till the very end!

Hobbies and Homicide

It seemed they weren’t going to get out of this one alive. Even though I knew they would be rescued I just wasn’t sure when. Good story.

Another good installment in this series. Not a deep mystery, but sometimes you just need one that keeps you guessing along with good, caring characters.

I received an advanced copy of this book for my honest review.

I really enjoyed this lighthearted mystery. The two FMC were a lot of fun to read as they find themselves in the middle of a murder mystery and they go around town to solve the mystery. I did not see the end coming. This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

The last book I officially read of this series as Book 26 wasn’t officially released when I finished reading this book. However, we are still following the life of Suzie and Mary as they continue to navigate life as B&B owners, but you gotta remember all of these other traumas from past murders that these two poor women have experienced. Except it doesn’t stop there, Suzie and Mary are ecstatic to hear of Yoga classes being offered on the beach near Dune House and they are preparing for one of these classes when the Yoga instructor turns up dead! But who would do such a thing? Suzie and Mary get their investigative boots on again and begin to try and work out who committed this horrible murder, however, it turns out that this woman had just as many enemies as she did friends. Suzie and Mary see the instructor in the back of someone’s photo when she is preparing for her classes, was this photo staged or is the person who posted it somehow involved with the crime?
We really go on a journey throughout this book as we do with the others, learning more about the victims and their lives as they begin to investigate the murder which again causes Jason to become annoyed at his cousin and Mary for trying to investigate a murder that they don’t need to be investigating as this is Jason and his colleagues job. But as we learned from the first book, Suzie had a previous job as an investigative journalist and this is what it comes back to everytime she tries to investigate a murder in the town of Garber, as she al so doesn’t want the reputation of Dune House to be tarnished as being a place that needs to be shut down for good.
