From the Best-Selling Author of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot and Torment. And now joined by AJ Powers
Robert Gyles and the Reapers fight for survival continues.
It’s over there is nothing left to fight for. Years of training, centuries of building all gone in just a few weeks Or is there still Redemption to be found.
W. J. Lundy is a still serving Veteran of the U.S. Military with service in Afghanistan. He has over 12 years of combined service with the Army and Navy in Europe, the Balkans and Southwest Asia. W.J. is an avid athlete, writer, backpacker and shooting enthusiast. He currently resides with his wife and daughter in Central Michigan.
I developed the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot series from notes and ideas I had put together while deployed to Afghanistan. I had been jokingly asked how we would defend against a zombie attack.
I wanted to tell a story that portrays the military that I know, that displays our actual capabilities. These are my thoughts, I hope you enjoy them, and thank you for reading.
This book was hot Chinatown garbage. Where to begin? Either the "author" or the editor deserves a hot shot to the nuts over this absolute tripe being published. On no less than eighteen occasions a character in the book "dipped his chin." The use of this rancid lazy trope to describe a character acknowledging some action is writing at its worst. But wait it there is more, like a late night ronco commercial. The plot was some type of YA crap that truly an eight or ten year old could have written. All of the hallmarks of W.J. Lundy's writing are missing hear; crisp dialogue, awesome action pieces, and thrilling showdowns. Honestly I question if Lundy even wrote this book the writing is that bad. To say this book is a sophomoric effort is an insult to sophomores. Perhaps most irritating about this book is that it was paid for by coin of the realm that I will not be getting back. Heed my advice and seriously reconsider buying this book.
Redemption: A Post-Apocalyptic Thriller (The Soldier Book 3)
Redemption was quite a bit different from Torment and Sanctuary. The format, writing style, even the characteristics of the characters was altered. I really enjoyed it, it just took a minute to acclimate to the changes after reading 1&2.
I hope The Soldier's storyline continues. I have read WTF multiple times. I'm going now to reread them now.
Another outstanding installment in this series. There's action from the first page to the last. I'm sitting here wondering when the next book will be out because I'm all about it!
I really enjoyed the earlier stories and the original WTF but I think this will be last one for me. The pace was so slow and the story so disjointed I barely finished it.
It must be tough for an author to keep writing books in a series but this was well worth the wait. I can't wait for the next one, well done Powers and Lundy. An outstanding read, I could not put it down.
I so enjoyed reading this book, a great addition to the series. These books caused me to lose many hours of sleep as I like to read at night and just found it to hard to put it down.
Kept me reading. Story had characters not normally written in survival fiction which have an opportunity to explore others point of view / experiences.
Just gets better book by book from scenario to scenario this is as good as an dystopian apocalyptic novel can ever get and I have read a lot of them over the years.
I did enjoy this read. Gyles persona changed a bit slightly. Been over a year since I read the other two, so can’t compare the writing styles. A page turner for me.
Recommend this series to anybody who likes zombie and action packed books !! I can't find any information on when the next 1 comes out But I hope it's soon cause I just read all 3 in like 5 days!
