I am scared of snakes and the entire book was about snakes. What's more, for some reason it was entirely in French so I had to turn the book upside-down to be able to read it. Otherwise lovely

I like this cover! That's why I bought this book ^^.
The theme of this book is japanese traditional tales about snakes. The woman that turned into a snake, the snake that turned into a woman to seduce a man, and so on... The tales are very short and written in a minimal japanese style. It's interesting to read to discover a part of the japanese culture, but I must admit it won't be my favourite book of the week! ~(^-^)~

the translation lacks of poetry and is too straightforward...
