Hum... Where to start with this one overall we enjoyed the story Sydney and her friends made this story fun they were so funny, loving, and crazy, and always had their friend's back and it was really hard not to fall in love with that crazy bunch of women especially when they set down and started plotting their bestie's love life. They gave us more than a few LOL moments.

Loved Sydney she was kind and loving, compassionate and fun, and had this larger-than-life personality and we loved her from the moment we met. Miles on the other hand that guy gave us whiplash and it was really starting to get on our nerves. Overall we thought the guy was an awesome doctor and had so many amazing qualities but, he also had so many emotional hangups that he never dealt with we instantly knew heartbreak was going to come Sydney's way sooner or later. We loved that she cared about Miles and finally got a chance to be with him but, at what cost? A broken heart? A hit to her self-esteem? What about letting the man grovel a bit?

Sydney's neighbors made us laugh out loud they too had Sydney's back that woman was so loved. There were so many little moments that we loved that had us smiling and chuckling along the way. Sydney was such a softie and forgiving woman when it came to Miles and on one hand, you understand that they are really good together, have awesome chemistry, and have a lot in common but, surely the woman could have made Miles squirm a time or two. In the end, Miles redeemed himself in our eyes by giving Sydney the one thing she always dreamed about but, was beyond her reach making all the ups and downs in the relationship all the more rewarding.

Syndey needs some time away, a time to live and enjoy her life. Now that all her friends are settled down, and she can’t do anything about her crush on her boss, she needs a girls only trip. But eventually, she ends up at her boss’s vacation home. No escaping her boss, Miles, now….
I felt sorry for Syndney really hard, because how much bad luck can one have. But it does lead her to Miles’s home, and him taking care of her.
But Miles has his own demons to fight, and it takes some time to see what is good for him.
I really enjoyed this story. It’s all about secret crushes, boss/employee relationships, the FMC really wanting to get what she deserves…. And a bunch of best friends who will go through fire for each other.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Miles and Sydney work together and also, she/he are best friends. They both are crushing on each other as well. But both fear starting something that could end up breaking their friendship and work relationship.

In this story Miles is a doctor and he is the one needing fixing, hence the title of this book. Can Syd make him see that he is a totally awesome guy, and that love is worth taking a risk on?

This was an enjoyable story. I loved how long Syd has wanted Miles. Miles is a guy who is a serial dater. Meaning over the time he has worked with Syd, six years, he has had several girlfriends. As the story begins, he has just been dumped by a girlfriend who suggested he date the one he really likes, Syd. He does not date anyone else in this book, but he also has just broken up with his latest.

At times the book was a confusing. At one point it tells us that Syd is Miles best friend, but it also says they have never hung out, outside work. I did love their relationship and how comfortable they are with each other. At times I felt Miles had no clue what he wanted and because of his past, he was a bit immature, because he ran from his past rather than getting over it.

I loved seeing the gang from the Moore family series and hearing what they are up too. I also LOVED Syd's siblings and I hope the author gives them stories as well. This was a fun book and I really enjoyed it.

Fixing The One
Brides of Banneker
S.E. Rose

Sydney, Finley, Di, and Bailey are at it again! Time to get the Brides of Banneker Club together for some more fun!

To Sydney, Dr. Miles Claiborne seems oblivious to her pining for him and has put her in the friend zone! What she does not know is Miles wants her just as badly! The problem? Not only is she his employee, but Miles thinks he is broken from his past and thinks Sydney deserves better. Sydney, always the good girl of the group, is tired of waiting for Miles and she wants to have a girl’s vacation and go wild! It’s time for her to let loose and have some fun. However, fate has different plans for her vacation.

When the girls' vacation implodes on itself, Sydney ends up at the Claiborne family's vacation home with the man she was trying to move on from, Miles. They are great friends, but they both want more. Will Miles cross that imaginary line that is self-imposed and give it a chance? Will Sydney be able to break through the Wall of China that is around his heart?

S.E. Rose sure has a way of making you root for the main characters in her books. The sexual attraction between these two is palpable throughout the pages. I admit, I fussed at Miles a few times as I was reading! As with the other books in this series, this can be read as a stand-alone, but you will enjoy the story more with all of the background antics from books 1 & 2. This is a great small-town romance series with some spicy scenes and always a HEA. Come to Banneker and join the fun with The Brides of Banneker Club!

#fixingtheone is the third and final book in the #bridesofbannekerseries by @seroseauthor

Miles: Doctor. Intelligent. Hiding behind walls. This man is hard working, loved by his young patients and sometimes moreso by the parents. He genuinely cares about the people in his practice. Burying himself in work, he avoids any extracurricular activities where he could run into Sydney; The nurse he’s had his eye on for years. But during vacation, he helps Sydney and things between them change. Can he finally let his walls down and take a real chance with Sydney or will his past prevent him from loving anyone other than his job?

Sydney: Nurse. Compassionate. Hopelessly inlove. Sydney has been seeing her friends fall inlove and get their happily ever afters. This is all they’ve talked about since they were young. But she’s pining over Miles, the Dr. She works with for years with no change in their friendship. Getting away is what she needs. But this vacation couldn’t have more bumps in the road. Miles helps her out and she swoons even more. Can she get the man of her dreams or was it all too good to be true?

Im so sad to see this series end! I’ve loved this series so much with this friend group. Then seeing some of the familiar faces of the Moore clan from the #perfectlyimperfectseries. Ugh, I can’t get enough. These two ding dongs have both wanted each other since the beginning. It wasn’t just love/ lust at first sight, it was a connection they both had but were scared to admit. Miles was so sweet, caring and fun, I loved his cousin and best friend. Sydney was shy but liked to let lose with her girlfriends. They complimented each other perfectly. When things got spicy, loved their chemistry. Sad to see this end but so excited for what’s on tap !

This was a quick and easy read. It is the third book in the Brides of Banneker series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Sydney was just about to go on her girls' trip with her friends, Di, Finley, and Bailey. Due to differing circumstances, none of her friends were able to make it, so Sydney made the trek alone. Of course, the place where she was supposed to be staying at for the duration of her vacation was . . . completely horrifying, so she needed a new place to stay. She called Miles for help to see if he had any suggestions for a hotel to stay at.

Miles Claiborne was a doctor, and Syndey worked with him. When he heard she needed a place to stay, he gladly offered his family vacation home. With this extra time together, Miles could not hide his feelings any longer. He was charming and such a caretaker. He wanted to make sure Sydney was safe and did not want to hurt her.

Syndey was a great character. When her friends all canceled, she didn't get upset with them. She was just understanding of their respective situations. She was even caring and understanding when Miles explained his reasoning for his actions.

I loved Sydney's friend group and how they all got together to help Sydney out and support her through all her decisions.

This was a small town, friends to lovers romance. It had heartfelt moments and healing for the main characters.

All of Sydney's friends have found their love, so she's the last one standing, but there's a reason for it, she's got a thing for her boss. She's finally hit a point that she realizes that she needs to move on since it's been years, and Dr. Miles Claiborne hasn't noticed her yet. Sydney decides that she's going to go out of her comfort zone & seek out a wild streak in herself, but it doesn't go as planned, hell, it was actually disastrous, or was it?! Little does she know that Miles has a wall up because he won't cross a line with her, but she's definitely in his head. Things take a turn when she ends up at his family's place while he's on vacation, and finally, that line gets really blurry as they're stuck together in close quarters for a whole week. I LOVED every minute of this story because I loved our heroine so very much. Miles was a bit harder for a minute since he just couldn't get out of his own way even though they really were perfect for each other. The sparks are really flying now but will he finally give in for a happily ever after?! You'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Brides of Banneker

Sydney Lawrence has worked for Dr. Miles Claiborne for six years and has crushed on him for most of that time. But she's done waiting around and seeing all her girlfriends are settling down she wants a girls trip.

She's kinda made a list of things she wants to do to let loose and is so ready for this trip, however everyone ends up cancelling on her for the trip and she decides to go anyway. But when she gets to the place it's horrible and she ends up calling her boss who knows the area and he tells her to come to his family home where he is on vacation for the week.

Dr. Miles Claiborne is a pediatrician who shares the practice with another Doctor. He has liked Sydney since he hired her but refuses to cross the line of employer/employee.

Now that she is staying in his house they talk about their feelings for each other and grow closer. He takes care of her when she gets an eye infection. They decide to date and of course the whole town knows and it's all great until he receives a medical call that he feels he has to respond to. He has things he hasn't told Sydney about and she gives him an ultimatum.

What a great story about healing and facing your fears head on and learning to trust in love again! I loved it! 5 stars for this one!
Sydney has had a crush on the good doctor Miles for as long as she's been working with him. He's hot but she's so not his type, he dates women who look like models, but they never last long. But fate has a way of sneaking up on you and making things happen! That's exactly what happens to these two, as Sydney planned a week with the girls in Myrtle Beach, and one by one, her friends, who are married are dropping out and leaving only her to go on the trip alone, so she does, what she didn't expect was the place she rented looking straight out of a crime scene! Thank god Miles isn't far away and she reaches out to him for help and ends up staying at his parent's beach house that he is there to close up.
And that's where their real story starts, and you'll fall in love with them, though you'll want to smack Miles at times, but the heart wants what it wants! Don't miss out on this one, you will enjoy it!

Sydney is the last friend standing, but she’d rather not be. The only problem? It’s been years and Miles isn’t noticing. At all. So she needs to move on somehow. She just doesn’t expect her attempt to do so to be so utterly disastrous. False advertising, a scratch that is so much more dangerous, a guy who may want her until he thinks twice…all of it means that Sydney really does need to think about moving on once and for all.

As for Miles, he’s got baggage. He’s got fears and hurts and still wants Sydney so badly he aches. The real issue is whether or not he can open up, be completely honest and therefore vulnerable, and therefore put himself on the line to win Sydney’s heart. I’ll give him credit though. He definitely puts in the work. He learns to communicate. And he proves to be exactly who Sydney deserves in life.

Add in familiar faces, embarrassing encounters, and a Monster, and you’ll love the time spent with these two and some of the off-kilter residents of Banneker.

CHEMISTRY!!!! That one word can describe this book so much! From the very second the two are in the room together you can feel the chemistry between them. I absolutely loved this book and couldn't get enough of these characters. Sydney and Miles are coworkers and have become friends over the years. However, Miles has a strict no dating his coworkers policy. Sydney doesn't know about his policy and believes her attraction is all one sided and that she can't compete with the typical girls Miles likes to date. When fate puts them together on vacation, it becomes harder and harder for Miles to deny that attraction. However, he is scared that he could lose her in his life completely if things don't work out between them.
This was such a fun, sweet story. The writing was wonderful, the storyline grabbed me from the start, and the characters were fabulous. If you want to see how things work out for Sydney and Miles you will definitely want to one click this book ASAP!

Fixing the One is such a wonderful read. I loved this one so much. This is my favorite in the Brides of Banneker series. Sydney and Miles will put a smile on your face and may frustrate you just a little with how they dance around each other. I love their friendship they build through the office. Sydney is so caring and the last of her group of friends to find love. She will make you giggle with some of her mishaps along the way. Miles keeps part of himself closed off and with reason. He is a wonderful doctor who is always there for his patients. I love the chemistry that builds with Sydney and Miles. There is such a sweet love in this one that you will not want to miss out on. I laughed and got a little teary by the end with this one. I love Sydney and Miles so much. If you have not read the Brides of Banneker series yet do so now.

I have loved the brides of Banneker series and now it’s time for Sydney’s story.
Sydney is the last man standing in this group of girls to get her HEA.
Sydney and Miles have an amazing work relationship and are great friends. The problem is they are both in love with the other but afraid to make a move.
They say sometimes we all need a little shift to change our perspective on what’s important and we get that when due to unforeseen circumstances and changes in plan we see Moles and Sydney stuck together for their holiday.
Will Sydney finally get her fairytale or will the heartbreak and insecurities be too much.
I loved this little small town story and meeting up again with lots of old favourites.
A must read.

Sydney and Miles have been dancing around their attraction for each other for 6 years. But she is a nurse working for him in his pediatrics practice and he does not want to cross the line. So when she has a girls trip that turns in a solo trip go horribly wrong, he swoops in to save her and they end up confessing their feelings for each other. But Miles is afraid that a tragedy from his past will color the way she sees him - is he brave enough to take the risk? I loved the two main characters in this book and it has such a sweet ending.

This book is part of a series, and ties into another series this author wrote as well. I think they are best read in order, and all are terrific books, but it would work as a stand alone.

I read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

UGH. This one was just so wooden and boring. Big NO. Did I read a different book from everyone else? Sydney, the doormat of the story, works for Pediatrician Miles. They are best friends who secretly pine for each other but Miles has a hard and fast rule against dating employees. Until he doesn't. Sydney subsists on the crumbs of recognition and 'atta boys' doled out by Miles. Then it's set up with a forced proximity trope to get the two to acknowledge their feelings that works for about a week. There was also a past trauma thrown in there to explain somewhat douchebag behavior. Not fun and the dialog did not flow well and felt somewhat stilted and wooden. Anybody else? Just me then? Pass and moving on.

My favorite Brides of Banneker book! I loved seeing their relationship evolve from friend to more. Sydney and Miles make each other whole. They have a phenomenal working relationship and a wonderful friendship. Sydney’s vacation disaster is potentially saved by Miles and the two can’t deny what’s happening between them. Sydney finally got her fairytale, but not without a little heartbreak first. This book is funny, steamy, full of love and friendship. Oh, and if you like fake girlfriends, this one won’t disappoint. I’m sad that Sydney is the last of the Brides of Banneker, but I can’t wait for whatever comes next.

I have loved this series and have to say that it’s bittersweet that this is the last one in the series.
Miles is a compassionate doctor that hides from life in his work. Sydney has had a crush on him ( he has one on her) yet neither have acted on it until this perfect moment that changes everything.
I loved how these characters have developed and how they learned to open up to love in the most wonderful of way. Fabulous scenes and characters that make for a great storyline that I’m volunteering to leave a review for.

I enjoyed jumping back into the world of Banneker and getting to know Sydney and Miles. This is a mix of friends to lovers, boss-employee, and those unrequited feelings that they are too scared to act on. I loved the build up between them, the friendship they have, and how the story was able to pull me in and keep me there. They have a great group around them, friends and family, laughs and love. Definitely a story to add to any TBR.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I loved this one. If you've been reading the other books in the series, we know Sydney has a mad crush on her boss. How could you go wrong with a pediatrician? They are friendly and I loved that he came to her rescue after a vacation nightmare where secrets are spilled. However, the one secret left unspilled puts a wedge in between the two. I love the rest of the "brides," the eccentric Moores, and the gossiping grannies that become fairy godmothers. This was the perfect ending to the series.

Loved the ending of this book, i enjoyed it from start to finish. Would have loved a bit more processing between the main characters regarding the trauma that held back our hero in this book to help set up the ever after part. Would recommend to any that like a fun and overall happy, quick read. Will continue to read this author in future.

I initially thought it was just a rom-com but this book is steamy too. I really enjoyed this book, a dash of humor, a spoonful of romance and a spoonful of steamy. The fact that it is set in a small town only makes it more delicious.

And then there was one…
Sydney, the level-headed one, is the last of her friends looking for Mr. Right. Dr. Miles Claiborne has a case of the feels for Sydney, but he has his reasons for not pursuing anything.

Deciding to live a little on the wild side, Sydney plans a girl’s weekend that starts to fall apart before it even starts. With Miles to the rescue, the two end up together for about a week and that’s where it really takes off. From the beginning of the story, Sydney and Miles’ friendship is evident based on their conversations and some of the things they know about each other. As they spend more one-on-one time together, the chemistry really heats up and then we get steamy bedroom fun. The story is well developed with solid character growth. Sydney and Miles have become my favorite couple of this series, and Sydney one of my favorite heroines because she was so much stronger than I thought she would be.

In true Banneker form, expect a couple laugh out loud moments; amazing friends; meddling neighbors and family members; and an embarrassing moment or two.

Sydney and Miles' story is my favourite of the series and coincidentally it's the last book too so I'd say SE Rose ended it with a bang. I loved how vulnerable Miles is but once he knew Sydney is moving on, he knows he couldn't let her go and let himself be vulnerable with her. He really pursued her and it made me so happy to see. I loved the lengths he went to win her heart. A swoony romance this is.
