In the anthology, Home Again, I like the section divisions of the home. I enjoyed reading Tyora Moody's selection in the "Kitchen" on "Birthing Pains." There were some parts I knew where it was going but I like how the mother had to admit to her past mistake that also was the outcome of her daughter's. Sometimes what we birth in our lives, it will follow through our lineage or for generations to come. I also enjoyed the twist in Trinea Moss story, "Couple on Trial" and was a shocker! I was not expecting this towards the ending of the short story in the "Home Office" section.

Besides Tyora Moody's story, I loved Bernard Boulton's story in the "Nursery" called "Jake and Eric" that reminds me of the anger, animosity shared between the biblical story with Esau and Jacob, and then how one is willing to reconcile the relationship because they are twin brothers and family. Morally, the important message is that we have talents and abilities that sometimes we cater to the world's entertainment and lifestyle and forget God. Once we come to our senses and give God the glory for our talents/abilities, then we see true happiness and a life of abundance. Glad the writer shared this through the past comedian's story and famous career/lifestyle and came to the realization that it's Christ we perform for.

I read Linda Beed's short story in the book, the very last story enclosed in the anthology as the "Back Porch" section entitled, "Flavorful." The story starts off with the end result then goes back to the past of how it lead to this outcome that shows that people can restore past relationships and change their situation for good.

There were some good passages and lessons to be learned in this short story too. The fruit that God intended will come forth and its time for us to get our flavor back. “Fruit that God allow to come forth flavorful—takes our growth, purpose, and can be picked too soon (paraphrased, p. 186).” Here we see that in life as we grow like a tree, we have to get to the root of the problem for our branches to grow. In other words, we may have gifts that are not developed or nurtured properly that can separate us from our purpose. We also can be plunked too soon before we can see the gifts manifest. As the story states, "don't miss the chance to come back to your purpose, despite the atrocities of life."

I plan to read the rest of the anthology with other faith-filled stories.

Home Again by Wanda B. Campbell and Friends is a collaboration of stories expressing the meaning of love, forgiveness, and restoring relationships. In The Game Room by Dijorn Moss, a father tries to right his wrongs by trying to earn his son’s forgiveness. The Kitchen by Tyora M. Moody is about Leesa, a young woman who holds a secret that causes a riff in her family. The Home Office by Trinea Moss tells the story of Ebony and James, a married couple attending marriage counseling to restore their marriage. During the course of their counseling, James learns some disturbing news that makes him believe he does not know his wife at all. Will he forgive Ebony? Or will he walk away? The Guest Room by Maurice M. Gray Jr is about Erik who has sustained injuries from a car wreck. In his process of healing, Erik meets a seven-year-old girl that helps him understand the meaning of family.

The Basement by Wanda B. Campbell tells the story of Lorna, a woman that finds out that her ex-husband is not who she believed him to be. Lorna also learns that he has put people’s lives in danger because of the secrets he has kept. The Master Bedroom Suite by Shenette Jones tells about Minister Hall and her husband, Markus, who have both stepped outside of their marriage. Once their affairs are out in the open, the Halls, will have to decide whether they will restore their trust and love in their marriage. The Nursery by Bernard Boulton is about twin brothers who cannot get along. One brother’s betrayal will cause a family to go a long time before the healing and forgiving can become a reality. The Family Room by Tavares S. Carney is about Louise and Roland who have kept important information from their daughter. Once Tasha finds out she will have to decide if she can forgive her parents. The Back Porch by Linda F. Beed is about friendship and going over and beyond to help others. Charmayne does just that and pays the price. After she has done her time, the same friends she helped will help rebuild her trust in God.

These nine stories give readers a glimpse into the lives of family and friends and their healing process. I enjoyed this collaboration of restoration. Each author gives readers a different glance at love, friendship, and caring for others. I recommend this book to others.

HOME AGAIN Stories of Restored Relationships by Wanda B. Campbell & Friends is filled with stories about damaged relationships. Throughout the stories there is God's Almighty Hand molding the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and friends in to His beautiful workmanship. If you are in a place where your relationship seems like no other on God's green earth because of the strain and rocky terrain, meet the people written about by Wanda Campbell, Tyora M. Moody, Bernard Boulton, Dijorn Moss, Trinea Moss, Maurice M. Gay, Jr. Shenette Jones, Tavares S. Carney and Linda F. Breed. These authors put their whole hearts on the tips of their pens and wrote about Everlasting Love. His ability to part the seas and make the waters calm is a promise seen in different ways in each story.

In my future storms I will remember the marriage that didn't work, the twin brothers who were far from identical in their thinking and the parents with a daughter who had strayed. It's impossible to read any one of these stories without crying, without praying softly and without thanking the LORD for never giving up on us no matter how muddy our road.

It is always necessary for me to think again about faith, rebuild it or add two more bricks here and there and a brush of paint with the help of the LORD. HOME AGAIN by WANDA B. CAMPBELL & Friends made me hum old hymns: What A Friend We Have in Jesus, Crown Him With Many Crowns and Sweet Hour of Prayer and last but not least, Somebody Bigger Than You And I. I am so glad to have begun this book at the beginning of the year and not the end of it. I will remember the characters throughout the year and years to come. Then, I will pick myself up and start all over again because God never leaves me.

By the way I certainly enjoyed turning back and forth to read the brief biographies of each author. Truly, the book is put together with love.W.B. Campbell Publications

This is one of the best anthologies I have had the privilege of reading. The stories are full of life, touching, inspiring and life changing. The realism portrayed, the subjects addressed and the hidden messages make this an excellent read.
