Only the foolish or the powerful risk the Forgotten Wole.
Talen survived the fighting pits and bought the freedom of the remaining slaves, but that only began his pursuit of vengeance.
Reunited with his brother, Talen and Davin pursue rumors of the Golden Fool to the dangerous Forgotten Wole, where monsters and deadly magic await. His birthright—and his brother’s near immortality—may not be enough to survive the dangers.
Finding the Golden Fool and getting revenge for the slaughter of his family is all that matters, but something much worse awaits Talen in his search.
The Golden Fool isn’t the only sorcerer prowling in the Wole.
The Forgotten Wole continues The Golden Fool trilogy.
I'm sorry. Parts of this move so slowly and other parts fly by. I have no idea who wrote which parts but if I hadn't invested as much time as I have, I probably wouldn't bother with the final volume. But I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.
Okay, it’s been a little bit but I’ve had a busy few weeks!
This book was enjoyable. It didn’t hold my attention as strongly as the first book, but I did enjoy the interactions between Davin and Talen. As someone with siblings, this has been enjoyable to read. I did find the few scenes at the beginning with the clay maker to be very rushed and confusing. I don’t quite understand why they were in there, but I did enjoy his further use in the story. I think that the Golden Fool being Qwins brother that they need to save was a great twist. Reading and seeing the brother’s reactions was quite fun to read.
