Context is key. When going through scripture, especially with the Old Testament, and Paul's travels in the New, it helps to have a timeline laid out. I greatly appreciated the book. It was a pretty easy read. I didn't find it boring. If you are into scripture, seeing connections between the Old and New (this is a touched on a little bit), and trying to place the books in order, I would say you might like this.
Good general overview of Bible periods and could be a decent workgroup book for small group Bible study. No new ground is really broken, but it is organized well and does give some good discussion questions for contemplation of the Holy Bible.
I thoroughly enjoyed using this for my understanding of bible reading , I will certainly keep it for an opportunity to better understand my bible studies .
so far i am 35% through the Period by Period Bible, it has helped me to understand so much that i did not understand. After I am completed reading this i am going to do the workbook, then I will be ready to read the KJV and hopefully have no difficulty in understanding.
