New York Times best-selling author Ruth Ryan Langan, under the pen R.C. Ryan, has written more than ninety fiction novels, both contemporary and historical in a career spanning more than twenty years. Other titles include: Montana Legacy, Montana Destiny, Heart’s Delight, Paradise Falls, Ashes of Dreams, Cover Up, Wanted, Passions Law, Angel, Deception, and Nevada Nights. She has also co-authored books with Nora Roberts. She resides in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

This is book three in the McCord Family series, and the last, with Montana Legacy and Montana Destiny coming before. The McCord cousins have been brought back together on the Lost Nugget Ranch by the death of their beloved grandfather, Coot. The town of Gold Fever, Montana thought old Coot was crazy when he spent every waking moment searching the ranch for his family's lost treasure. But these three cousins are determined to continue the search, and happen to fall in love along the way.

Riley Mason is a single mom who's running from a past that threatens her and her four-year-old daughter, Summer. When the opportunity to take an accounting position in Montana arises, she jumps on it, knowing it's as far from Pennsylvania as she can get. The rugged landscape surrounded my mountains is the perfect place to hide out and start over. But taking the position means residing on the Lost Nugget Ranch, in a suite right next to irresistible Zane McCord. Zane is the youngest of the McCord cousins, and the wildest of them all. Most comfortable among the wild Mustangs, Riley soon realizes it's not only her past she should fear, but her heart as well. And then her past comes back to haunt her, threatening all she holds dear.

This is the last book in the series, and not that I didn't love Jesse and Amy or Wyatt and Marilee, but Zane's story with Riley tops them both. Riley's daughter, Summer, is just like her name, a breath of fresh air. Secondary characters Cal, Cora, and Dandy return, who were some of the best parts of the first two books. Will Cora and Cal finally acknowledge their love in a side story? You won't be disappointed. Will the three McCord cousins finally find their family's treasure? I'm not telling. R.C. Ryan's best writing feature is her ability to illustrate her breath-taking surroundings. I bow down to another splendid, witty read by this fabulous author.

Favorite Quote: "For a space of a heartbeat they hovered, suspended, somewhere between heaven and earth. And then they were shattering into millions of glittering, golden pieces before drifting like gold dust to the ground.”

Riley Mason learned how to take care of herself at an early age; being a single mom with an explosive secret. When she applies and gets the job on the McCord ranch she never expects Zane McCord.

Zane McCord, the playboy of the McCord cousins, lives as free as the mustangs he raises on his family's ranch. But Riley tempts and challenges him in the way no other woman ever has.

As Zane attempts to win her trust and her heart; a secret from Riley's past will place them all in terrible danger. Riley and Zane will have to confront the one thing they fear most in order to have a future together.

The 3rd installment of Ryan's sizzling bad boy McCord series is a sweet, romantic, and suspenseful contemporary. Montana Glory tells us Zane McCord's story and the woman who tames him; Riley Mason. A fast paced and smoothly told story filled with intriguing likable characters and heartwarming scenes that captured my attention from the first page. Ms. Ryan’s stories hold an appeal for me because she paints a vivid and realistic picture of her characters and submerges us into their lives.

Even though this could be read as a stand alone, Ms. Ryan doesn’t forget about her previous heroes & heroines. They are alive and well in Zane and Riley’s story and add humor and love to the story. There are 4 story lines here that intertwine and feed each other to an exciting finale. Riley and Zane, a second smaller love interest, and not 1 but 2 mysteries.

Riley and Zane connected for me right from the start. Even though we know from previous books that Zane is a player, he comes off different with Riley. He gets to know her first and finds friendship with a woman he is attracted to to be an intoxicating and new feeling for him. Add Riley's adorable daughter Summer to the mix and this cowboy has your heart going pitter patter.
I love how confused and unsettled the attraction makes both Riley and Zane.

Riley’s reactions to Zane are believable. She is attracted to him but she knows she and her daughter may have to leave at anytime. Plus, her daughter comes first so she is not looking for any one night stands. She comes off a little rigid in the beginning but her background story explains that thoroughly and your amazed she’s as open and well adjusted as she is.

Summer, Riley's little girl, makes the story very sweet . An adorable 4 year old that makes the ranch & town her new home and it’s inhabitants her family.

The story centers around Riley and Zane for the most part while the “mysteries” seem to be only touched upon here and there. I wish Riley’s mystery had been developed more through out the story. Little tidbits are dropped through out the story but in an off hand manner that made it easy to over look them. It was too quickly cleared up and solved. I would have liked to seen more action and suspense resulting from it.

All in all a sweet romantic story that is perfect for a lazy day where you have all the time in the world to dream of sexy cowboys and the women they love.

I'm not the biggest fan of cowboy stories, so I wasn't quite sure how I'd like this book. It turned out the be a good contemporary romance which was a nice break from all the PNR and UF I've been reading lately. Although if I had realized the hero's name was Zane, I probably would have saved this book until January for one of my challenges.

What I liked:
* The family had a special bond and even though this is the third in a series, I wasn't lost. Riley's daughter, Summer, was extremely cute throughout the story.
* The setting. The description of the ranch and the special painting place sounded lovely.
* The food - I want their cook!!!

What I didn't like:
* Both Riley and Zane were too good to be true. Riley is a great single mom, a talented artist and amazing with numbers. Zane is super good-looking, amazing with horses and amazingly patient.
* The bad guys were just a bit too obvious.

Montana Glory by R.C. Ryan is the third and final book of the McCords series. It is a romantic and suspenseful western contemporary. Zane McCord feels attraction toward Riley Mason the moment he opens the front door. Montana Glory is a fast-paced story of a strong family bond and support, especially with Riley's daughter, Summer. Readers gets to watch little Summer blossoms into a confidence little cowgirl. R.C. Ryan has done a brilliant job in wrapping up the final chapter of the McCords series with the finale of the gold hunt in the beautiful Montana’s wilds, the sizzling relationship between Zane and Riley, the supporting cast of characters, and the danger.

This is the third book in this series and I really enjoyed read the conclusion of the story of the missing gold. In this story Riley Mason had been sent from the McCord’s accountants to help Cal make some headway with the paperwork that was involved in running a large ranch. Zane McCord felt something immediately when he met Riley but he was not the kind to settle down after the way his family had broken up. Riley had a secret but knew that being this far back in the country would keep her and her daughter safe. But would it? Great story and a good ending to the series.

Book 3 and conclusion of the series. The author thankfully veered to a different set of events. Riley, a single mom, trying desperately to keep her 4yr old daughter safe, is hired by the McCords as a bookkeeper. Zane Mccord is hopelessly attracted to Riley and falls in love with Summer, the 4yr old. I loved little Summer in the book. Riley falls for Zane but hold off as her past is too dangerous to let him in. The search for the ancestral gold continues with the three cousins. However, trouble finds Riley and the East coast cringe chimed to Montana.

WARNING! Watch for spoilers!

Montana Glory is Zane McCord’s story and the third book in the McCord Cousins trilogy by R.C. Ryan. Zane McCord is set in his ways. He likes working the ranch now that he’s back home, he enjoys searching for his family’s gold with his family, he likes his video technology, and he likes being single. Now that his cousins are married, it’s up to him to live up to the wild McCord name. Riley Mason, on the other hand, is looking for a quiet simple life. She doesn’t want or need a man; she just wants a dependable job, income, and a safe place to raise her four year old daughter Summer.

Riley and her daughter end up at the Lost Nugget Ranch when Cal Randall is in need of an accountants help. He’s managed to make a mess of all things paperwork involved and the accounting firm used by the ranch sends Riley in to straighten it out. To make it easier for Riley to get her work done, she is living with her daughter on the ranch.

During this time she and Zane get close. Everyone on the ranch falls in love with Summer. Riley ends up involved in the family’s search for their gold and she and Summer begin to build bonds with the family.

When Riley finds out that he past is catching up with her she is frightened. She never wanted to put anyone else in harm’s way and truly believed that she would not be traced to the middle of nowhere Montana. Becoming a team, Riley and Zane work through Riley’s issues in the past while also moving forward themselves. The hunt for treasure takes an interesting move as well.

Most important to mention is that I was very satisfied with the ending of the trilogy. I had to wait a long time and the anticipation built and built, but there was no let down. At the end of book two I was left with a multitude of questions and hopes, and they were all answered.

Zane and Riley had this great tension building relationship at first. The two continuously fought their attractions to each other. Zane also ended up being one of those guys who, even though Riley has a daughter, he built a relationship with the daughter because he wanted to, not just to get into Riley’s bed. Both Zane and Riley do a lot of moving forward throughout the course of the book. Zane’s development is in the form of realizing that maybe he doesn’t want to stay the single wild man, that perhaps having a family is the path to fulfillment. Riley’s progress is in coming to trust the McCord family. I don’t mean just by being happy that they decided to allow her to live on their farm with her daughter, but allowing herself to trust them, especially with her daughter.

One of the big things I wondered about was what would happen between Cal and Cora. I was so rooting for the two of them to realize the love they shared together and get married. Well I wasn’t let down. And that’s all I’m going to say.

In an attempt to not give too much away, I’m not going to say what happens with the gold. I will tell you that there are four extremely happy couples at the end of this trilogy. A big, happy family has laid their foundation and they continue to build on it.

Read the trilogy. Montana Legacy, Montana Destiny, and Montana Glory. They are filled with fun, tearful, and fist-pumping moments. Especially this last one. Grab the hot cocoa and a comfy blanket, curl up on the couch with said items and books, and enjoy a few great stories. I recommend it

Golden end for a great series

Zane McCord was the youngest of the three cousins that grew up on Lost Nugget Ranch in Montana with their grandfather and extended aunts and uncles. He struggled to keep up but his love of horses proved that he was just as tough and had a talent for controlling even the wildest of the breed. While having been pulled from the ranch at a young age once he returned after his grandfather’s death and was reunited with his cousins he knew that he could fulfill his desire to stay on the ranch and still be the documentary star Hollywood saw him as. Riley Mason needed a place to hide with her daughter; Summer because she had a terrible secret that could get the both of them killed and needed to get out of Philadelphia immediately. The job offer at Lost Nugget Ranch was the perfect fit for Riley and Summer and before she could even completely unpack it felt like home.

Zane took one look at Riley and realized that while he had found life again at the ranch with his extended family, with Riley he started thinking of it as home too. He had traveled the world filming his documentaries but never found the kind of peace that sitting in a room with Riley and her daughter brought to him – this was more than a quick relationship it was long term and that scared both Zane and Riley.

While Riley keeps ducking from telling Zane the truth about what brought her to Lost Nugget Zane does explain about the search for the lost gold and how after generations of searching for the treasure the cousins were getting close or so they hoped. Fancy equipment was being used, notes being deciphered and luck being requested as they dug and searched for their grandfather’s treasure.

With renewed hope and lots of prayers Riley and Zane start to release the secrets and uncover the dreams one another has. Both have been hurt and felt unloved but in one another’s arms they are safe and content. When the secrets and safety are threatened it takes the entire family to jump into action to get a plan worked out and resolve the danger that is lurking trying to take it all away from this wonderful couple. There is also another couple that is trying to find love and with Cal and Cora is a relationship that has been in the works and just now revealing itself and surprising even them to admit it.

I try not to have favorites with any series but have to admit this one really won me over with its characters, colorful scenery descriptions and fascinating story. Zane being the youngest he spent his life playing catch up to older boys and knew that the world was his oyster but that his heart was at Lost Nugget and the love of horses was his true passion. Riley overcame so much to get an education, raise her daughter alone and never relinquish her dreams for them that you just want so much for her to succeed. Together they make a fabulous couple and it is not a push pull relationship as much as one on equal ground and trying to trust each other when you feel you have baggage that no one can accept. Zane and Riley are great characters in an amazing series that I am thrilled to have read and sorry it has ended.

Even though this is the last book in the trilogy, I had no problem following along while learning about the other two cousins, Jesse and Wyatt along with their wives. The story is centered around Riley and Zane and Riley's daughter Summer is also part of the relationship. The Lost Nugget is a working ranch, all three cousins work hard while also searching for the family hidden treasure.

Riley Mason is a recent college graduate, ready to take on the world, as long as that world is far away from Philadelphia. She's hiding out and figures the isolated Montana ranch is the perfect place to keep herself and her daughter safe. I like how Riley didn't expect a man to come to her rescue but was proactive in making a life for herself and her daughter. In fact, she didn't want to get involved with Zane and would rather focus on her new job and taking care of Summer. But this cowboy is very persuasive and doesn't believe in giving up.

Zane is like his cousins in that he loves the ranch and the working cowboy lifestyle. He didn't always live at the ranch with his cousins. When he was a child his parents moved to California taking Zane away from the wild mustangs he loved even then. But he's back and has no desire to ever leave. What he does desire is Riley. He knows pretty quickly that she's hiding something but he doesn't push, letting her learn to trust him, kind of like how he tames horses, earning their trust. He's also learning how to relate to a little girl. Zane knows next to nothing about kids but he's enchanted with Summer. Their scenes were cute without being too sugary sweet. Summer is an adorable minx who, like her mother, seemed a little too mature for her age.

As the romance grows between Riley and Zane and the past catches up to Riley, Zane becomes more protective of her and gets his alpha on. I did like how their romance developed, getting to know each other, and not excluding Summer or having her fade into the background. They made a good couple with both of them mature enough to take the relationship seriously. There was also a very strong family aspect to the story. Zane, his two cousins and their spouses, their Aunt Cora, Cal Randall the ranch foreman all live a the ranch. They take their meals together and are a very close family. Riley and Summer live at the ranch and become part of this close-knit family.

The story was moving along well until it took a sharp turn into action/suspense and I found myself wondering who these previously intelligent characters were. Without giving too much away, they made one mistake after another, that just left me shaking my head, wanting to yell at them to open their eyes because the big bad is right there in front of you! The story bordered on the unbelievable, with shootings and helicopter acrobatics. I was glad to get past those scenes and into the treasure hunt and the HEA of Zane and Riley, and Summer.

Aside from the venture into the unbelievable, Montana Glory was a solid read with sweet and sexy cowboys and a young mother who will do anything to keep her daughter safe.

boy this guy on the cover doesnt look much like a cowboy.
ugh! i hate plots like this.why does the girl already have to have children?!
&then the guy protects her for some stupid reason.&then the girl gets a threat on her life.these predictable, overused &boring plots r so annoying! they're a dime a dozen.
i hate reading about the guy characters when they're young and innocent &then reading about them when they get older.the story starts out with so much promise &then quickly changes by comments like these-
"We've seen the way you keep cutting fresh fillies out of the herd and then discarding them."
Zane smiled. "So many women. So little time."
because i just love comments like that.
why do authors choose boring and uninteresting jobs for their characters? the girl is a bookkeeper. which might as well be an accountant or lawyer by the way she dresses.suits, knee-length skirts. hair in a tight bun.ugh! hate those stereotypical things.
"thanks for giving me the perfect opening. it'll give me a chance2 get 2know our pretty new accountant." do ppl rlly talk like that? it seems just weak.
its annoying how we'll be readin in zane's perspective &when thats over you expect to move on to another point in the book.but no.it goes to riley and her thoughts on what happened earlier. i dont wanna rehash things after the fact. it would be better 2have her thoughts during and not after the fact.its just annoying.
like in zanes perspective,we didnt find out what he was wearing or how he looked when riley first say him.we have to wait til l8r 2 find out he was freshly shaved, and had piercing blue eyes.
rileys only 24,already has a kid.&she acts like a 40yr old.i mean,come on.when i heard she was 24 i was like WTH?! shes stuffy and too professional.
i just dont care for this usual, run of the mill storyline.
the kid thing was the finishing touch, the added push for me2 stop readin this.i dont like readin about kids.they're usually stupid &annoying.&this whole story is just weak. as was the first book in this series.
zane was shocked and a little turned off,i thought, when he found out that riley had a kid.so its really unrealistic that he did a sudden 360 and was already planning to take her daughter horseback riding.SO unbelievable.&he doesnt even know riley.why would he be acting that way? i dont like when characters have kids from previous relationships.that shouldn't even be in here.it would definitely help the story out.
im so sick of reading of characters like zane.why do female authors write about guys who are players, and have been with a million women? i mean,is that what they want? you'd expect a story like that from a guy.but not a girl.ugh!
i just cant really get into the storyline.i only got a few chapters in and had to stop. i dont know if ill try to read this again.

This is the 3rd book in R.C. Ryan's Montana Trilogy (I think it's a trilogy); I did not read the first two books in this series.

Riley Mason is an accountant who has come to work on the hapazardly-kept finances of the McCord Ranch. As we read, we learn she's originally from Philadelphia, and has come to work at the ranch with her young daughter because she figured no one would ever find her on a ranch in Montana. (ooohhh, mysterious!)

Zane McCord is the youngest of three cousins running the McCord ranch after the death of his grandfather. He's just come back from two weeks of living with wild mustangs, filming a documentary, when he opens the door, expecting a nerdy male accountant, and instead finds a gorgeous female accountant. He's attracted to her but has been warned off as she is an employee and not just some chick.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked watching Zane and Riley fight their attraction to each other. I liked Riley's daughter Summer a bit even...she didn't drive me as nuts as some kids in books do. I loved that Zane spent time with Summer even before he decided he wanted to date Riley. The storyline for Montana Glory was good - my guess as to what Riley was running from was off the mark, which always makes for a pleasant surprise (for me, anyway). The side storylines were entertaining - there's a search for family gold (I'm under the impression has been a constant through all three books) and also a second love story between the cousin's aunt and the foreman.

Ms. Ryan did a great job of unfolding Riley's storyline at just the right pace. We got to experience her getting used to her new surroundings, learning to live with a loving family, learning to trust. Her background is revealed slowly, in bits in pieces until the big reveal (which is so tender and sweet), and of course this big, loving family rallies around her.

This book was definitely a balm for my "cowboy itch" (sounds like something you'd need cream for, LOL). The secondary characters were interesting and I wanted to know their stories; I actually went out and bought the first two books in the series because I wanted more of these delightful characters.

Riley Mason is running from her past. When the opportunity to work at a ranch in middle of nowhere Montana becomes available, Riley is convinced it will be the best thing for her and her daughter. It will also make a great place to hide. She never expected to be tempted by the likes of a sexy cowboy named Zane. Zane is planning to live the life of bachelor for as long as possible. After witnessing the dramatic demise of his own parent’s marriage, Zane has no desire to get hitched. Then he meets Riley and her adorable little girl, and they both start slowly winning his heart. Will he be able to break through the emotional walls Riley hides behind?

What a sweet story with a breathtaking setting! I’ve always wanted to visit Montana. The author made you feel like you were actually witnessing life on a working ranch. This is the final book in a trilogy about the McCord cousins, and their search for the lost family treasure. I haven’t read the first two books, but had no problems catching up with what was happening. The characters were charming, and I enjoyed the quirky locals. The mystery added a nice edge to the plot. The sexual tension between Riley and Zane was intense. Major chemistry alert! Zane’s softness when it came to Riley’s daughter had me swooning. There is nothing sweeter than tender moments between a big hunky guy and a child.

The story also explores the relationship between Cal Randall and Cora McCord. After loving her from afar for most of his life, Cal is still afraid to confess his true feelings. I really liked Cal. He is a no nonsense kind of guy, and total opposite of the artistic free spirit know as Aunt Cora. Kudos to the author for giving readers two love stories in one unputdownable book!

Just an all around great read that leaves you feeling good. Check this one out if you have a thing for sexy cowboys or want a romance story that will leave you smiling.

Cover thoughts: I am completely smitten with the cowboy on the cover. Reminds me of Milo Ventimiglia who I find absolutely delicious.

Montana Glory is the third book in the McCord family trilogy. Since I loved Montana Destiny and Montana Legacy (reviews at Montana Legacy and Montana Destiny) I was thrilled when Hachette offered review copies of Montana Glory to bloggers.

To reprise, Coot, who owned a huge ranch in Montana died. In his will, he stated that if his three grandsons returned to the ranch and stayed there, and searched for the family treasure, they would share in it. The first two books married off the first two cousins, now it is Zane's turn. Zane is gun-shy about marriage because his parents were unhappy together and his mother insisted that the family move from the ranch he loved to Hollywood, which for a long time, he did not. Eventually he entered the business, but is now back on the ranch.

The leading lady is Riley, a single mom of a four year old. She is hired to clean up the paperwork at the ranch, and the job includes room and board. We learn early on that she is hiding from something, we just don't know what. Sparks fly between her and Zane from the very beginning.....

It's a romance novel, do I have to spell it out? Like the other books, there is a bad guy and a scene where the McCord guys rescue the girl and everyone lives happily ever--you can't tell me that's a spoiler, it is exactly how you'd expect a book like this to end.

I enjoyed Montana Glory and recommend it if you like romance novels. It is a mass-market book. There is one intimate scene. It happens before marriage and I'd rate it as moderately graphic.

This book is the last in the McCord Family Trilogy. You can read this book as a stand alone. There is plenty of details you will not be lost although I would recommend starting with the first two because they do all go together and you won't want to miss all the mystery and romance that begins with "Montana Legacy" then continues on with "Montana Destiny" and ends with "Montana Glory".

I have enjoyed this trilogy and it was a pleasure getting to know all the cousin's and the rest of the family. R.C. Ryan has done a wonderful job with "Montana Glory" as well as with the rest of her trilogy. It is well written and flows very nicely from chapter to capter. The characters are nicely portrayed throughout this book and with the other two. There is very nice details and is lacking nothing. When I finished this book I really didn't want it to end but it was an ending that was satisfying and ended well. I like that in a book. I felt like I knew the whole family. This is a series that you can get lost in and really enjoy.

I was provided this book from the author R.C. Ryan, Grand Central Publishing, Forever- Hachette Book Group & Anna Balasi through Book Blogs. This review is of my own honest opinion on the book that I have recieved from this company free of charge to do this review and that in no way influences the way I do my reviews. Cowboys (I love them dearly), danger, treasure hunting and romance, what more could you want in a romance?

Riley Mason is a single mom who learned the hard way not to trust anyone and that she can only count on herself. She works in an accounting firm and really wants to impress them so she can rise up the ladder. When she is sent to McCord ranch to help them with their finances, she's left speechless when she meets handsome hunk Zane McCord.

Zane has seen how his cousins have ended up all married recently and vows that he isn't next in line. He just wants to train his Mustangs and find the hidden treasure. But he can't seem to keep his mind or his eyes off of Riley, even though she has vowed she wants nothing to do with him. But then the closer they get to finding the treasure and a series of accidents start happening, the closer Riley and Zane get. But something sinister is out there, and Zane may have to decide what is more important -- keeping her and her daughter safe or trying to win her heart?

Montana Glory is a delightful romantic suspense with complex yet likable characters against a beautiful rugged backdrop. Passionate love scenes, heart-thumping suspense, combined with great writing and a terrific plot pulls the McCord trilogy into completion. You'll want to curl up with a nice cuppa and enjoy every morsel of this one!!

I am always up for a book about cowboys! This one was no disappointment either. This is the final installment in the trilogy that includes Montana Legacy and Montana Destiny. Montana Glory can definitely be read as a stand alone novel but I also think readers will enjoy the stories of Zane's cousins Jesse and Wyatt to get a full picture of these yummy Montana men and the women they love.

The characters in this novel are very well written. I was really impressed with the character of Riley. She is an outstanding mom who will stop at nothing to protect her daughter. She is willing to give up her own happiness for little Summer's benefit. Zane is one tall drink of water! Cool mountain water.. He is quite the hero as he goes from a confirmed bachelor and ladies' man to someone who is thinking of the future. Probably one of my favorites though is Cal, the crusty old ranch foreman. He is the glue that holds the whole ranch and its inhabitants together. His story is integrally entwined with that of the McCord family from the start.

This book moves along at a fast clip. It is full of the required elements of love, adventure and intrigue. A very enjoyable read that I finished in an afternoon.

Montana Glory by R.C. Ryan
Western- Oct 26th, 2010
5 Stars

This is the third book in the Montana Series by R.C. Ryan. However, I was able to read it as a stand-alone. I think I will now go back to read the first two—that is how much I liked this book. I really enjoy westerns and this one in particular. I felt a connection to both the hero and heroine right away. Ryan’s pacing is great and I love how natural the dialogue tells the story of how a lonely single mom, Riley Mason and her daughter, Summer build a new life.

Together they move as far away from Philadelphia as possible and end up at a ranch in Montana. Riley’s one night with a stranger, resulted in Summer, but the mystery man who impregnated her pasted away in the war, leaving her with very valuable, but dangerous information that some would die for (and some do).

When she shares this with Zane, he is determined to keep her safe while the information is given to the appropriate authorities. Zane is transformed from the carefree cowboy to a family man and some of the scenes between Summer and Zane are so touching. I especially loved when he asked both women to marry him. I was rooting for them until the last page.

I have friends that adore western romances and I have read Montana Destiny. I definitely understand what all the fuss is about now. Montana Glory really took me away to another place. I mean who wouldn't want a nice strong cowboy to take care of you. Although, the cowboy in this story is not anything that I would imagine a cowboy to be like. Sure, Zane is handsome, but what really surprises me is his depth and intelligence. Riley is trying to make it as a single mother and wants nothing more than to give her daughter a better life.

This story is more than a romance though, you get a little mystery and adventure to round things out. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Zane and Riley. Even though I didn't read the first one in this series, I caught on quickly to the characters and I think this one can stand alone. Oh and expect to tear up a bit as well since there are several moments that will have you swooning for your own Zane. I need to go back and get the first one to complete the trilogy. If you enjoy contemporary romance, you are going to love this one.

R.C. Ryan, who is Ruth Ryan Langan, writes an enjoyable story. Her strength is plot. I enjoyed the twists as they surprised me often. This is basically a mild thriller. At first all we sense is that our heroine has some secrets. Next we see that she doesn't feel safe. The explosive climax to all this really surprised me.

The romance part of this is P.G. We get a few steamy kisses and one not very explicit or imaginative love scene. I am glad I read the entire trilogy, but I won't be seeking out any more of these, they are too vanilla for my taste. The characters are niced but not very deeply drawn.

I won the first in the trilogy in a firstreads drawing, and wanted to know what happened to the characters. Back to the public library with this.

I found this book a refreshing change from the traditional western romance novels. I've read many romance novels which have lots of love making scenes which seem to go on forever and don't seem realistic. This story main characters seem real and evenually they form a love attachment without all the "fluff". If I would have read the first two books, it would have been somewhat easier to follow the plot of past characters and lost gold treasure. The author also ties all the chacters together well into a happy ending which I enjoy. Although I've only read a couple of westerns, I have read many romance novels and would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good romance with some suppense and action.

This was really my first time reading a western romance. I have really wanted to get into this genre and this book wasn't one to start with. I think maybe the two before this one in the series might have had more interesting plot lines then this one. I found Riley as a character boring. As hot as they made Zane come across, I don't get how someone so boring turned his head. Her thoughts kept being repeated through out the book. When her secret finally came out, I was hoping it would have been a little more exciting. The romance in the book was unfeeling to me. I just didn't feel the connection. It was obvious that Zane was attracted to Riley and he let it known. We never really got much out of Riley. I think her character needed to be developed a little more. This book just wan't for me.

I did not read the two books before Montana Glory. However, I will definitely pick them up next time I am near a bookstore/library I absolutely loved Zane's character. He is a great cowboy who had some issues with his parents in the past but overall he is an awesome character. I liked Riley. She stood for what she wanted done, and she completely loved her daughter. She might have seemed skittish at times but she had good reason for that. Zane and Riley make a wonderful team and are a great couple. I loved all of their interactions. Also Riley's daughter Summer was a wonderful addition into the book.

I look forward to more R.C. Ryan books in the future.

Montany Glory is the third in a series including Montana Legacy and Montana Destiny. I am a HUGE fan of western romance and this book (and series) did not disappoint. I loved all three of these books. I was lucky enough to recieve this book as a first reads giveaway. I had really been looking forward to Zane's story and was happy to finally read it! I loved the relationship between Zane and Riley and the journey they take together. Of all three books, this was definately my favorite... a page turner from beginning to end... a must read!

I really wanted to like this book, as I love romances, especially westerns. Unfortunately, I found it difficult to get into this book. I felt there was a lack of character development; I just wasn't interested in the relationship between Riley and Zane. Also, a lot of it seemed over-the-top, especially the helicopter scene near the end. Not to say that this book didn't have any good features; I did love the whole family atmosphere and the happy ending. Unfortunately, it was one of those books that I felt I could have put down at anytime and been compelled to finished it.

The first two books in this trilogy were good, but this one was just boring until the last 50 pages or so. Riley's story was a little too unrealistic and her constant nervousness and worrying became annoying after a while. It was nice to learn the fate of the missing gold, but that was about it. No surprises here, not that I was expecting any. The second book is by far the best of the three and the first one is decent, but this one was largely a waste of time.
