Honestly zero stars. This book is riddled with unnecessary fluff which extends the readings to double the necessary time. The wording is sometimes grammatically incorrect which adds unnecessary confusion. Some of the chapters aren't properly organized which makes the reading experience even more unpleasurable. Alternative paradigms are the focal point of the book however some of the chapters don't even provide an antithesis to traditional models which make the chapter even more irrelevant and tedious. Some chapters are just little excerpts of information that don't even pertain to the topic of traditional-alternative paradigms which makes it even more unorganized.

This textbook was awful. The way it's organized is so confusing, I didn't even understand that some of the concepts he was discussing were actual theories. I thought they were just little blurbs of information. My professor put together a PowerPoint to organize the content so it was easier to comprehend.

This is the ONLY book that I have not given an stars to and as of yet the ONLY book I can honestly say should NEVER have been written. It is a complete waste of time for anyone to even read. I had to use this book in two of my classes and HATED every time that we were assigned any reading from it.
