Still sticking by my previous opinions. Kaia, Kane and Reed are still the most awesome. It's about time Miranda finally got something going for her (I've had the most hope for her since the beginning of the series). Adam and Beth are just... there, being idiots, and I still dislike Harper - but at least she finally got what she deserved in the end (ha ha, I think the last 50 pages were SO unexpected. It was great). And if the person who died is who I think it is... I will NOT. BE. HAPPY.
Moving onto Sloth now, the fate of my happiness needs to be determined. And it can only go two ways :(
I really enjoyed reading the book “Wrath” by Robin Wasserman. This story is about a group of teenagers in high school and all the drama that comes along with it. A lot has changed for these kids and nothing will ever be the same again. All the characters show their wrath and for them it is all about revenge. Strange friendships are made after relationships are lost. Adam is depressed and feels lost with nobody to go to for anything. Kaia and Mr. Powell end their relationship with a bang. Kane still thinks about Beth but is now leading Miranda on. Harper and Kaia form and strange friendship. Beth is on her own now and finally gets revenge on Harper. All the anger and hatred builds up throughout the book and unravels into an unfortunate ending for one of these kids.
The characters in this book are Adam, Harper, Beth, Kane, Kaia, Reed, Miranda, and Mr. Powell. Adam is now more soft spoken and trying to be what everyone wants him to be. Harper is starting to become a better person and not the snotty girl she usually is. Kaia and Reed are on rocky terms and have each other both confused and on edge. Miranda feels lonely and starts accepting the attention Kane is giving her even though he doesn't like her any more than a friend. Mr. Powell is becoming more devious by the second and starts to use his charm and manipulation skills.
The setting of this story is in a small town called Grace. It is based on present day and told from the point of view of the seven teenagers. The kids spend their time in the bars, school, and the casino.
I loved reading this book. I would recommend this for other people to read. I would recommend it to teenagers and adult women. This story keeps the reader interested and gives the view of each character so reading it the reader can get different point of views.
I'm finally reunited with this series. It's been a long time coming.
The Harper-Kaia-Kane trinity is too entertaining for me to be even slightly bothered about how mean and nasty they are. I just love good morally grey characters.
Personal response: I really enjoyed Wrath by Robin Wasserman a lot. It was by far one of my favorites in the Seven Deadly Sins series. I really enjoy the cliffhangers through the whole book and can not wait to read the next!
Plot: Beth Manning used to be A-list because of her hot boyfriend Adam, but is now she's B-list again. After getting played by Kaia, Kane, and Harper, she is stopping at nothing until she gets revenge. Beth has no idea how to get revenge because she’s always been goodie-two-shoes. Miranda wants revenge after what Harper did to her. Miranda decides to go in on a "partnership" with Beth. Except when their little flyer full of Kaia’s, Harper’s, and all of Kane’s secrets get out. Almost appalled by the flyer, Harper finds out who really wrote it and gets Miranda detentions. The principal had asked Miranda if she had an accomplice, but Miranda said no. That’s how things ended with the flyer. Adam is on binge drinking and bar hopping some nights to relieve his pain that was caused by Harper. Someone is stalking Kaia, but no one is exactly sure who it is. Reed won't stand for sloppy seconds as he finds out about Kaia and Mr. Powell. Harper was slipped drugs in her drink and goes crazy when the governor of California comes to Haven High for a visit. Feeling completely embarrassed, Harper runs out of the building and gets in a car with Kaia. Revenge is the name of the game. For somebody, it's game over.
Characterization: Harper Grace: Harper just about had it all just to lose it all. After finding out her big secret, she doesn’t have anyone to go to anymore. Being cold hearted and like her usual self, Harper realizes that she isn’t “good” enough for Adam. Harper goes on the silent treatment with him and tries to get over him.
Miranda Stevens: Miranda is now becoming a something to a certain someone. Finally getting somewhere with Miranda is now getting her happy ending. The question is, how long will it actually last?
Kane Geary: Kane completely unaffected by what he and Harper did to Beth and Adam has no regrets. He is still carefree, except his mind keeps wandering to a blue eyed blonde. Getting his mind off things he kinda starts to lead Miranda on, no harm no foul, right?
Adam Morgan: Adam is starting to lash out at people for what has happened to him in the last few months. He most likely lost Beth for good and will never get his chance to explain. Adam must now pretend to be something he isn’t for the sake of Haven High.
Beth Manning: Beth is all too committed to getting revenge upon Harper, Kane, Adam, and Kaia. How will she do that, she’s not exactly sure. This is nothing like Beth. Going from good girl, goodie-two-shoes to
Kaia Sellers: Kaia is very happy to be done with Mr. Powell, even if it means knocking him over the head and nearly killing him. Kaia runs to Reed only to realize they’re on rocky terms and she doesn’t know what to do. She makes one last mistake before ending the most precious gift anyone can have, life.
Setting: Wrath starts out in the beginning in January after Beth found out about Adam cheating. It impacts the book majorly by showing how modern day high school students will use others to their advantage.. Grace is located in California and in Grace, everyone knows everyone. Grace is so small that under aged kids can drink without getting in trouble and get away with about anything they want. Thematic connection: A very common theme in Wrath is, things are usually not as bad as you think they will be. Beth and Adam think that their lives are over and have nothing left to hold on to. Harper feels like she just lost her life and is depressed like no other. In reality, they just made mistakes that they can’t take back and now karma is getting them.
Recommendation: If you love drama and tragic love, this book and series are definitely for you. I would recommend this book to anyone in high school. It was really easy to connect with being the same age as the characters in the book. I really enjoyed how similar it was to our town and how realistic it was. I definitely give this book a five out of five stars.
This was a good book. Really, that's all I have to say about it. There was only one reason I didn't like it, and that was because - once again - of Beth. I just really can't stand that character, and how perfect and boring she is. The other ones are fine, and my favourite characters are still Kaia and Reed. The ending was a major suprise, I wasn't expecting someone to die the way they did - but I still think I know who the character is. I'm not going to lie, I was really hoping it be Beth so that I wouldn't have to read about her again - but I'm really really hoping that it wasn't Kaia because I still want to see the relationship between her and Reed grow.
OMG, this book was amazing! It's WAAAY better than the last three books and there's a surprisingly tragic event that happens at the end of this book. It just doesn't seem right because Wasserman suddenly makes Kaia seem like the loneliest girl on the planet, which makes the reader feel for her. It's too bad that she had to go because I was just getting to like her. Not to mention that the other characters are all out for REVENGE. Once you finish this book, you'll be waiting to see the aftermath of everything.

Turns out no one is really evil inside... it's just the sins they've commited and other's that effected them that made them this way. Misunderstanding is the real sin, not wrath. Wrath is merely the unfortunate effect of Misunderstanding. But misunderstanding is sneaky, putting all the blame on wrath.
I read this book series back in 11th grade. I only vaguely remember them, but I know that I really liked them a lot. Sloth & Gluttony were my least favorite books in the series, according to my diary entries about this book series in October 2009. I read Sloth (#5) & Gluttony (#6) before reading Wrath (#4) apparently, so I was a little bit confused by them and that may have been why I liked them a little less. I really liked Lust (#1), Envy (#2), and Pride (#3) a lot though.
Everything goes down hill at this point for all of them. They face crisis of their own and against others, their friends supposedly. All the characters are in their own bubbles and refused to see things from the outside. Miserable is all I can say.
The book “Wrath” is the fourth book in the drama sequel “Seven Deadly Sins”. There are a lot of new events that happen in the book! Adam does not have a girlfriend and is no longer the star of the basketball team. Adam gets expelled for starting a major fight with the other team in a basketball game. Kane finally sticks up for Adam and apologizes to him. Kaia gets caught with Reed in the hot tub when her dad is not home. Harper is going on dates like crazy and has become even more close with Kane during their heartbreaks. Beth and Miranda are spreading vicious rumors around the school about Kane and Harper as their payback. The payback end up getting the two girls in major trouble and they are eventually expelled from school.
The main characters remain the same as the first three books. Kaia and Harper are pretty much best friends now, kicking Miranda to the curb after she tries to ruin Harper’s life. Beth and Miranda have become close since they both are now partners in crime and ruining the lives of their friends. Adam has been spending much more time with his teammates! Kane has been getting drunk and doing drugs when he is not in school or playing basketball. Reed was not a major character in the first three books, but now that Kaia can not stay away from him, he keeps coming into the lives of the drama filled students.
The book takes place in the small town of Grace, very similar to Weyauwega. It is in present day format. The characters are spending a lot of time in the journalism room at the school, which is where all the vicious plans are made. Kaia’s house is also very popular in this book because all the characters spent time in her hot tub or in her dad’s office.
The author’s main purpose for writing this book is to entertain her audience. I think she achieves that goal and more. Everyone I have talked to who has read her series has only had good things to say about it!
I personally enjoy reading all of these books. I can relate to almost everything in this book when it comes to friends and drama. High school is truly drama with girls being mean to each other every day. This is a typical part in every high school girl’s life.
I do recommend this book for older girls, because it is a drama but it is a little too much for younger kids to read. Boys probably will not be as interested in this book as girls are, because of the drama. The endings of all of the books in this sequel always leave me on a cliff hanger, and make me not want to stop reading!
Wrath, maybe my next favorite book of this series, is like a book that goes back in time. Beth, previously an A-lister gets demoted back to being a B-list, Miranda is looking to get Harper, Kane, and Kaia back, and Kaia has a stalker. This book is interesting because it shows how the relationships between the characters unfold but it also shows the interrelationship between each character. Instead of writing the story of each character separately, Wasserman is now weaving in each character's story into the next.
this series just keeps getting better and better! the prologue sents a dramatic tone for the book but wrapped up in the drama its easy to forget what was foreshadowed. things definitely got kicked up a notch. Beth and miranda finally show some guts. miranda hopefully has finally moved past kane since he is a consummate ass. Harper finally gets whats coming to her and adam is just a sad sack. Kaia's sass finally comes back to bite her in the ass and with a cliffhanger like that ending im staying up late to read the next book it looks like!
Everything is pretty much unraveled by now. Beth and Adam found out that Kane and Harper screwd them over. And then just as they get back together--Kaia hits Beth with Adam's secret. Now everyones enemies. Even Miranda and Harper, who have been friends for years. The ending was sudden, and leaves you reeling from what just happened.
Well, this 4th book in The Seven Deadly Sins series was mediocre at best. I loved the first two, liked the 3rd one less, & liked this one even less. The books started to get boring, dragging on, with not much new happening, just what seems like a lot of filler. As I already purchased the next three books, I will give them a try, hoping that they get better.
Not sure why this series went from all the best parts of Gossip Girl in its' prime to a lackluster episode of CSI. For once, the characters' motives weren't so clear and understandable. I'm still not sure what to make of it.
Probably my favorite one yet. Drama, drama, drama! I'm sick of Adam and his whining though. But it was nice to see the added depth to Harper and Kaia, they showed a new side. And the cliff-hanger ending? You can bet I'll be reading number 5!
My friend told me about this series. I actually really enjoyed them. They're interesting and it actually shows how a lot of teenagers are. It's a little exaggerated also. But they're really good.
