Big-city cop and gunfight veteran Gabe Suarez teaches you the most vital lessons and techniques for prevailing in any situation where you must draw your weapon. Chapters include The Dynamics of a Gunfight, The Rules of Close-Quarter Combat, Holding Hostiles at Gunpoint and more.
A solid introduction to the concepts, but this work is not comprehensive. Suarez has created the perfect jumping off point for those who want to improve their skills, and only possess the fundamentals of marksmanship. Some with military or SWAT experience might find this book less valuable, but even professionals can get some benefits from this.
There's a lot to be learned here. I did, in fact, learn a few things. Some others just simply don't apply since I'm not a cop, and the author is. I think there are some good takeaways though, and for anyone who carries a handgun on a daily basis and thinks that makes them automatically ready to face a lethal-force encounter, I would strongly recommend this read.
