Lee's writing career began with short stories and serials for magazines and newspapers before going on to novels. She has had more than 20 Mills and Boon romance novels published to date.

Ah. I need that.
I needed an insane hero, hellbent on revenge who wrecks the heroine’s life and then offers her a better one – all the while planning to ????
We never know because the hero finds out that the heroine’s father was not the reason for his stepfather’s financial demise. So they live happily ever after. LOL.
It’s so insane and illogical and I loved every moment, wondering what the hero was going to do next.
Plot:
Heroine works for her father’s cosmetics company. Most of the company’s stocks have been bought by reddit gamestop fans a mysterious buyer and they are in danger of a hostile takeover. Heroine thinks someone in the company is working to undermine them. She sees the hero for the first time as he dines with an employee she doesn’t trust. Warning bells go off. Unfortunately, she ignores them after hero collides with her and then kisses her.
She is wildly attracted to him and bewildered.
This is a pattern. 😊
Heroine is engaged to a nice guy with nice parents. She travels to their country home for a weekend anniversary party and is startled to see the hero in attendance. He kisses her again – and an OW who wants the heroine’s fiancé for herself – sees this.
Heroine is nervous and worried and drinks a lot.
Hero manages to get her to her room before she passes out. He then undresses her and lies in the bed with her so that the wannabe OW of the fiancé, can find them there the next morning.
Fiancé ends their engagement on the spot, breaks the expensive figurine heroine had bought his parents and orders her out of the house.
Heroine thinks she’s given her virginity to a sexy stranger and has ruined her life. Hero drives her home and tries to spin it as “for the best.”
Heroine starts doubting her relationship with fiancé and hates herself. (Hero is amazing at gaslighting – first class as the title says)
Her father is concerned about her broken engagement and suggests she takes a break in Italy and stay at the company apartment.
Heroine tells no one of her plans and flies to Italy.
The next morning the hero saves her from a purse snatcher.
LOL – the evil employee overheard her father talking on the phone and alerted the hero.
So here he is – having saved the heroine – ready to try some seduction. Within days he will have taken her virginity for real and planned a wedding.
It’s only at the wedding reception that the heroine realizes she’s been set up for revenge (now that they are married, hero has control of her shares).
Once at their honeymoon destination, the heroine finally confronts the hero. And surprise! Hero learned at the reception the real story of his gambler stepfather and now he’s no longer bent on revenge. He also did her father a solid by alerting him to his evil employee. He really loves the heroine and all will be well.
Heroine believes this for an HEA.

The hero is truly evil – he gaslights, he may have drugged her drink, I’m not sure. He stalks her. He holds her while she cries – knowing he is the reason for her misery. He lies and lies and lies.
All in the name of love.
It’s fascinating and quite a ride. I am in no way recommending “normal” readers read this. But if you want this kind of a ride – LW delivers.

I’m starting to see a theme here with Lee Wilkinson’s books…. And I kinda love it. This hero had some audacity which is my favorite hero trait. 😈 I adore the subtle kidnapping… where the h is pretty sure she’s making her own choices but also feels like she’s being manipulated, corralled, and possibly stalked…. But the H is cool as a cucumber, never giving away his hand. Love it. This hero was subtly possessive.. the kind of possessive that looks calm on the outside but is like a raging fire under that perfect suit. The only thing really keeping this from a 5-star is the lack of a jealous/possessive temper tantrum or a scene where the H truly thinks he’s lost the h and has to scramble. I needed that emotional element. I like to see the H lose some of that control, even if it’s just one time. 🤷🏼♀️

I have zero respect for the so called H who gaslighted the h, got her drunk, climbed into bed with her, led her to believe she had put out, arranged to get caught and then didn't defend her when her name was smeared.
This kind of behaviour is beyond questionable and he is horrible to the h for something that he believes her father did to his family. Turns out the H's family member is actually the bad egg. Clearly the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Be happy the poor h is happy and the end of this one, she deserves waaay better. The H should be locked up, NOT ACCEPTABLE!

She only knows him for a few days when she agrees to marry him.
But even after discovering almost all that he did, she still married him. She laid down for him as his doormat, inviting him to wipe his feet on her, again and again.
The end should have been a lot of groveling from him. But unfortunately there wasn’t any groveling. She forgave him immediately.

The one with the wickedly sexy diabolical hero who secretly plots and lies and is completely unapologetic.
He pours alcohol in fruit juice to get heroine passed out drunk and crawls into bed with her so they can be discovered by her fiancée in the morning. He leads the heroine to think that he slept with her. He stalks her, takes her v-card for real and urges her to marry him since she could get pregnant. All the while he is plotting to take over her dads company. He never apologizes for his misdeeds but does give the company shares he acquired to the heroine.

Ceritanya tidak sesuai dengan judulnya, tidak sedahsyat Crossfire series dan tidak sebagus Beautiful series.
Pertama baca ini karena terpengaruh judul dan cover-nya ternyata baru 2 bab membacanya malah bikin ngantuk. Alur ceritanya yang mudah ditebak plus karakter tokoh utama wanitanya, Bel yang terlalu pasrah tanpa adanya perlawanan berarti semakin menambah suasana ceritanya agak membosankan,
Meski, ia sudah lama mencurigai motif pendekatan tiba-tiba Andrew Storm namun kesannya Bel hanya sebagai pion semata dalam trik Andrew membalas dendam lamanya pada keluarga Bel.
Andrew pun terkesan seperti dewa Apollo yang bisa mendapatkan apapun yg ia inginkan tanpa perjuangan besar, apalagi saat dia berupaya menjebak Bel dalam situasi canggung yang mengakibatkan Bel putus dengan tunangannya Roderick. Saat itu dialog yang seharusnya bisa mewarnai konflik pun terasa hambar karena kepasrahan Bel dan Roderick yang tanpa tendeng alin-aling langsung minta putus.
Intinya tidak terlalu bagus tapi lumayan buat selingan baca.

In real life I prefer honest straightforward people but for HP Hs, nah. Give me twisted and devious- as long as they are besotted. Especially if besotted, fighting it and overwhelming.
Enjoyable but it felt a little unreal and distant. I liked how intense he was, thus the high rating. He put a LOT of vodka in the fruit juice he brought her - without telling her - then let her think she had drunk too much.
St Margaret’s has good synopsis and her take on H parallels mine: semi bully, semi rapey, fantastic liar. Run h, run!

This book is worth reading just to see the lengths the H went to in order to get his misguided revenge. Once again, Ms. Wilkinson's written a book where one of the main characters seeks vengeance for what they think was a wrong done to someone in their family by someone in their true love's family and plans to use that love as a means to an end, only to have plan backfire. This is the fourth book I've read of hers with this theme (as well as having a family member of the vengeance seeking party die in an accident), do I see a pattern here???
The H in this case learns the truth while his plan was in motion and discovers that in targeting the h he also found the love of his life. Meanwhile, the h slowly discovers everything he's done and begins putting the pieces together, but no matter what she learns (even the creepy, crummy way he arranged to end her engagement to the OM) she's like that character in "Showboat" who "can't help loving that man of mine".
She should, however, have made him suffer a bit as his grovel was pretty lame. And the author saved too much revelation for too late in the story. She also left what could have been a good scene between the H and the h's father (the person the H wanted to get revenge on) to being related by the H to the h, instead of having her witness it.
Also, the last scene with the OM was really emotional on his part, and then he's out of the story, only mentioned by other people. I would have liked to know if he ever learned the whole story and the part the OW played in it.
In a real twist, in this story the OW wants to come between the h and the OM (who she's in love with) and becomes part of the H's plan of vengeance. That's some clever writing!
This book has flaws and I have no doubt some readers will be bothered by the H's tactics (particularly the way he takes advantage of the hot chemistry between him and the h) and the way the h is all too ready to fall into his arms, but it's still worth checking out.

Creepy stalker breaks up woman's engagement to the man she loves by getting her blind drunk and forcing himself into her bed, oved the next three days he then forces himself into her life, coerced her into sex, and tricked her into marriage. He's only able to achieve such feats because she is a grade A fucking idiot who not only leys him get away with murder but gladly hands him the gun.

sebenarnya udah lama baca tapi di re-read lagi. bercerita tentang upaya andrew storm yang ingin mendapatkan cinta Annabele. padahal anabelle telah bertunangan. dengan tipu muslihat licik, Anabelle berhasil dibuat tepergok oleh tunangannya sedang bersama Andrew di ranjang.
tak mau meratapi pertunangannya yang kandas, anabelle pergi berlibur ke Roma, Italia, guna menenangkan diri. Tak dinyana ternyata ia malah bertemu Andrew disana. Ia curiga Andrew sengaja mengikutinya. Walau begitu ia tak bisa menolak daya pikat Andrew dan bersedia menjelajahi kota Roma bersama laki-laki itu. Satu hal berlanjut ke hal lain. hingga Anabelle sadar ia sudah dijebak oleh Andrew. Karena kawatir dirinya telah hamil ia menerima pinangan laki-laki itu. Di hari pernikahannya, ia menyadari kalau ternyata Andrew punya maksud lain yang melibatkan perusahaan ayahnya.
Ceritanya bagus, alurnya cepat, dan penggambarannya Andrew sebagai pria maskulin khas harlequin juga dapet, hehehehe. Karakter Anabelle sayangnya seperti kerbau yang dicucuk hidungnya.
