Critical Thinking: A life skill that is probably more important than any academic qualification you possess.

★★★★★

Every day, we make tens of thousands of decisions. Some of these decisions have profound consequences, while others are relatively insignificant. If we could be told just exactly what to do at all possible times, that would be a tremendous blessing. It turns out, in fact, the human brain is blessed with such a gift, but many of us do not realize it.

When you reflect on your life and consider some of the strangest things you have done, you find yourself wondering why you made the decisions that seem so terrible in retrospect. Why did I marry that person who was completely incompatible with me? Why did I buy that overpriced compact car when I have three children and need a much larger vehicle?

Why, WHY?!

The great question, that is still unanswered, is why we are prone to making bad decisions unconsciously. What the hell were we thinking? Or perhaps, more fundamentally, how we should be thinking?
