I bought this book years and years ago. Things are going really well for me at work, but my hands are very full, and there are a lot of new challenges and responsibilities coming my way. I'm glad this was in my library to consult for already-constructed phrases to help me assertively address some issues I was facing.
I was curious to see what sorts of phrases this book would contain, and wondered if any would be useful for dealing with my very reactive and emotionally incontinent boss! Actually, I tried one with her, but it didn't seem to work - I think the book is more for people in big businesses where people are all focused on a common goal, and it's more for employees dealing with employers, rather than vice versa. Ah well - a lot of what it said made sense, and I'm sure would be useful in other situations.
This book is more for large corporations and not so much for a library system. The phrases also become repetitive after awhile and would pertain to almost all situations mentioned in the book.
