Hareta is the only manga character in my experience to advocate loving ones enemies. This is perhaps the prime reason why I love this series. Hareta doesn't want to destroy Team Galactic; he wants to convert them. Why do I have to go to Japan to hear the voice of Jesus?

I got this specifically because it was like $4 in a blowout sale, and I couldn't remember if it was one of the series I had started or not. Turns out not as far as memory serves, but you know what? That's fine, because one of the probable reasons Pokémon is popular is you honestly don't NEED to pay attention to the plot: It's mostly sit back and wait for your favourite Pokémon to show up and do an attack or whatever.

So I had zero clue 1. what was happening and 2. that this is the final volume in the storyline, but I could still mostly follow it. I mean, I guess I read part of it some years ago and so thoroughly forgot that I didn't even remember the main characters' names, but it's fine—it's pretty much swapping out the trainers' and villains' names and looks, then scattering in various Pokémon almost completely at random. None of the separate titles overlap that much with the others (or if so, the old characters are revered as "legends" or myths or something, like the various Professors), and even some of the plot twists within the same stories don't really mean anything later. About all that matters is if, for instance, Koya treated a Growlithe badly before, and now the villain brought that same Growlithe back to get revenge on Koya.

Though, that doesn't have as much impact on me as it would've had I managed to read the series from start to finish. It's still good, though, as far as what emotional gut-wrenches they can pull off in an "all-ages"(-ish) series!

The "I can understand what Pokémon are thinking and THIS one wants to absolutely battle its hardest against actually challenging Pokémon" is a weird twist, though, and I'm sort of annoyed they didn't even bother to finish showing the fight, because it's "for fun." They did that in a movie or other I saw, too, I think, and I hated it then.

Recommended for fans of this specific series who've read the rest of the books first. Kind of eh reading it by itself.

Love the characters and pokemon in it, loved the story till this Volume. Everyone has said the story was rushed in previous volumes but I never felt that way till this one. For the past 2 volumes it felt like we were finally going to see the big battle between Girtinia and Hareta in the last volume.... but we didn't. It was just Hareta using Regi to stop the attack and then it was just rushed from "omg danger" to "omg fun!" I was honestly bored and sad that this was the last volume and it produced nothing.

Ihara brings this thrilling series to a close with vigour and wit that will please every fan of this enjoyable adventure. When the dust settles, will this monstrous ruler of another realm come out on top?

Fun series overall! I have so many nice memories of the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games so this was a fun trip down memory lane for me. The battles scenes are original and top notch! Love the story line.

I chose this book for my second graphic novel. As a child, I loved Pokemon! I watched it all the time, and I loved it!

text to self: This book is about two rivals who join together to solve a problem. This has happened to me before, where i have had to befriend someone I didn't like because we had to work on something together.

I think this is a good book because it's sometimes funny and sometimes not.It's about a boy named Hareta, but I call him Hunter.So Hunter is a boy who likes traveling with pok'emon and he travels with friends and meets new friends on the way.He actually see's his father for the second time because his farther escaped from Team Galactic's headquaters.But his father leaves him because he knows he would do fine on his own on his journey because he belies in his son.

I thought this book was pretty action packed, but towards the end, it doesn't tell the reader how Hareta wins or loses the battle against Giratina. But evidence shows that Hareta probably won. But at the very end, it says he ready for a new adventure, but the series does not continue. But the rating 4.5

I thought it was good! It expanded my love for pokemon a bit more! This book might be the best in the series!
