Ignore the title. This book should be called, "So You Don't Know Shit About Wine." Because it's perfect when, guess what, you don't know shit about wine.
I picked up this book to help me with research on food and wine pairing for a book I am writing, and found it to be very useful. The explanations are insightful, quick and easy. I love the way things are summed up so tightly in usually just one paragraph. It is a great read and reference guide for anyone interested in wine.
A formidable textbook/travel library reference for viticulture and food enthusiasts that happens to have an inviting design and quick approach to facts. I have enjoyed having this book as a go-to guide that will not go out of style.
This was the first wine book I read all the way through. Its not exhaustive by any means but there is a lot of helpful information in it. I quite enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone interested in wine.
