Fortunate to have been raised with herbal traditions, Anke Bialas has expanded her knowledge of herbs and their applications over the years which she now shares with those new to natural health. She encourages use of herbs in unconventional ways, advocating that even a little bit of Nature goes a long way. With a firm believe that herbal health can fit into even the most conventional home, she makes all things herbal appealing to everyone.

Anke is known for her practical, everyday approach to herbal health which led to the creation of the Herbology At Home series of guides to herbs and natural health which provide a convenient reference you can take with you where you need them most.

Herbology.com.au has been running since 2008.
Herbology is about all things herbal, with the non-alternative reader in mind.
It came about when my own passion for herbs and constant questions from friends and strangers collided.
There were people who wanted to embrace a more natural approach to health & home but had no intention of changing their entire lifestyle.
Many of the sources online assume a certain grassroots knowledge, Herbology doesn't.

All things herbal means literally anything to do with herbs - recipes, gardening, herb info, herbal remedies, craft, pet care, a product review, books, herbalism courses.
Herbology provides safe (and sane) base knowledge to whet the appetite and encourage more learning about natural health.

It was a good introduction to Herbology, but I need to learn more about the different plants first before I can do anything.

Herbology

A lot of useful information, including warnings and reminders that what works for one person might cause ill effects in another. I loved the measurements and that she didn't just list the herbs to use.

Good

Good book, helpful and informative. Just a little bit too basic for me I guess. It would also benefit from having a bit in the back with a list of herbs and benefits.

This is a very helpful guide to the various ways to make herbal remedies at home. The processes are explained in depth, and there are recipes for various ailements interspersed throughout the book. There's also a nice list of more common herbs and what they're good for. I highly recommend it for those who are starting out with herbs and home remedies.
