FBI calls in a Special Forces expert to help capture a Cambodian terrorist who has planted landmines on Southern California beaches. This was an entertaining read that moved along quickly. The author obviously did a lot of background research about landmines, their history and their use in Southeast Asia, especially in Cambodia. The ending left an opening for a definite sequel. Three stars means I liked it but I don't think I will rush to read the next book.
This is a good read. It wasn't something that really stood out, but was a solid summertime read. Moved pretty quickly, and had interesting characters. Certainly setup for a sequel, though I'm not sure the plot of a sequel could pick up and go anywhere. Will probably not revisit this one, but enjoyed the experience.
Well done book, except for a story line that had nothing to do with the plot. And sometimes throwing in miscellaneous factoids that had little relevance. But the story is good, tight and well paced.

I like the storyline, liked the characters in the story, but it was a little herky-jerky for me. Smoother transition from chapter to chapter and better introduction of characters during the story. Still looking for Jonny Tangerine. Has some go skills.
Could not finish it. Stupid book. Two dimensional characters that I couldn't care less about traipsing around L.A. looking for land mines. That's right.
