Wicked Sexy is great story for an erotic novella, but the romance was seriously lacking.
In the world of Magians, sensuality and passion overwrite attraction and romance. Weirdly, not only romance, but family connections as well. The relationship here blooms between Callie and two brothers, Thyge and Tucker Abbott. Brothers. I understand that Magians are a “sensual species”, and “freer with their bodies than the average human”, but that much? I love a good story based on incest fantasy any day, but here the focus is on polyamorous, fated relationships. And sadly, it is an MFM erotic story, and I prefer MMF… But actually the fact that Thyge and Tucker are bothers is the smaller problem with the story. The lack of romance is the bigger issue.
I like Callie’s character, I really can identify with her. Her desire is to be one those people whom she considers her true family. But it is weird how her surfaced magic overwrites her decade-long attraction – as she describes it ‘love’ – for Tucker, and is swept away by the overwhelming sexual magnetism of Thyge. But in her words, she had no other choice…
She always felt nothing but irritation for Thyge. But now, driven by lust, she suddenly feels love for him. But there is no development, no intimacy, no tenderness between the two.
Tucker, with whom she has been in love since she was twelve, plays only a second fiddle in this relationship.
Though not fully elaborated, the suspense is great, surprising, and I like the “there are no coincidences” motif.
Magians with different types of magical power are interesting and colorful, with so much potential. The magical pull and bond between the three parties of a triad sounds good, but I can see only lust between them for now. Hope it will change in the following books.

I must admit that this menage book really hit the spot. Tucker and Tyghe both fit with Callie in very different ways (not like that, you pervs) (no wait, it was like that. carry on with your perving)... umm, all my asides here made me lose my train of thought. I think I was trying to say that both Tucker and Tyghe made a good foil for Callie. They need her and she needs the different sides of them. The fact that the three of them generate some massive sparks (LITERALLY!) just sealed the deal.
Honestly, the whole thing with Callie's past got me a little choked up. From her foster family forgetting her birthday to the way she just wanted to belong to the Abbotts, it was well done. However, the real draw here has got to be the sexin'. So, yeah, that was good, too. And it didn't choke me up. Cross my heart.
The world rocked, the sex was hot, and I really, REALLY liked how Tyghe made Callie get into character with some HOT kissing to set the scene for their sleuthing. I can totally appreciate his line of thinking. TOTALLY. *thumbs up* all around.

However, the real draw here has got to be the sexin'. So, yeah, that was good, too. And it didn't choke me up. Cross my heart.

A lot of potential here but many of the "plot" concepts introduced were barely actualized and the murder mystery aspect was extremely predictable. Mostly, this piece is just some really good smut with a thin guise of trying to be more than smut. Could have done without the guise. More menage action would have been nice.

I really didn't care for this story at all! There was no world building, no character building, no romance! It was all about sensualism, sex, and power. I had a hard time connecting to the characters and understanding the details about the larger Magian universe. Even the threesome wasn't that stimulating! Just wasn't my cup of tea, and I'll be avoiding the series/author in the future.

This novella could have been so much more with in-depth world building into the Magian world that R.G. was beginning to develop, and for three who were making a Triune to be together for life, it needed better character building and more romance.
There’s enough in this promising premise to write a detailed, and what could have been an enthralling novel.
Even the sex, pretty good, could have been scintillating with how it had started to build.
I don’t really call this bdsm, maybe kink and bdsm-lite for the restraints, though fluffy pink cuffs would have most bdsm kinksters hooting with laughter.
I did like the use of names, Callie/Calliope from Greek mythology, and R.G. Alexander’s links as used.
The writing is pretty good, and editing too. Guess I wanted more based on what I read.
Hence 3stars from me.

This was a very good story. I really liked Callie, Tyghe and Tucker and enjoyed their story. It's a short story but it's well written enough that the story doesn't feel like it's missing anything.
Callie is an orphan and grew up in foster homes. She was very unhappy and her main happiness through the years has been her best friend, Harrison and her family the Abbotts. Callie always wished she was part of the family and fell in love with one of Harrison's brothers, Tucker, at a very early age. Harrison's other brother, Tyghe has always been a pain in Callie's backside, tending to torture her whenever possible. Since she's grown up, Callie's been going to school to become a cop. When Harrison asks Callie to help investigate some attacks on Magian (magic users) women, she agrees, wanting to give something back for all the things Harrison has done for her.
Tucker is a magical lawman and Tyghe doesn't seem to have a job except being a playboy. Both have never tried to be with Callie but have wanted her. Unfortunately there's rules about Magians not being able to be with humans that's been an issue for them.
When Harrison asks Callie to help out with the investigation, she intends to put a glamour on Callie making it seem like she has magic in order to blend in with the rest of the Magian. This will allow her to go to the Triune where the attacks have been taking place. Tyghe finds out about the plan and decides he'll play one mate, protecting her as they pretend to look for their third and allowing her to look around for the culprit. As she prepares for the Triune, Tyghe shows more and more interest in her, seducing her until they end up having sex. Of course, just as this happens, Tucker comes back home from a trip and catches them together. As a Magian lawman, Tucker isn't thrilled about Callie putting herself in danger but realizes they don't have anyone that could play bait the way Callie is already set up to do. Tucker goes with it but only if he is the third with Tyghe and Callie at the Triune.
As they get prepared for the Triune there are some under currents she doesn't understand bt Callie goes with it, wanting to accomplish her mission and, while her "glamour" still holds, have as much time with Tyghe and Tucker as she can. Weird thing is that she seems to have more magic than she should from just a glamour. Callie, Tyghe and Tucker proceed through the Triune and there's some intimate moments between them but Callie thinks they're just playing along with the charade and tries not to be to upset that it wont last. As they're moved on to the part of the Truine where their trio is judged, they're unexpectedly split up and she comes face to face with the villain. As the villain goes in to a monologue of what and why, Callie finds out some unknown information about herself, finding out she's really Magian and what happened to her parents. The villain is captured before Callie can be hurt and taken away by the Magian lawmen. Callie, Tyghe and Tucker are reunited and now that it's out that Callie is really a Magian, they admit their feelings for each other, becoming a true trio, and start their HEA together.
I really enjoyed this short story. I liked the characters and the story was hot and interesting enough to keep me engaged and wanting to know what would happen next. I'll be reading the next book in the series. I'd recommend this book. Thumbs up! :D

Okay, first this cover is smoking hot! And I love the color purple, now I am lusting after the color purple. Oh and the brothers. I love being introduced to new to me authors and Ms. Alexander is new to me. Ms. Alexander took me by surprise with this paranormal. They have hope, dreams, wishes.... They have suspense, tension, mayhem.... They have hot freaking sexying in here!
Did you hear me...??? Callie is a unique individual. Although she thinks of herself as a plain jane - human... She really has some serious magic brewing in her blood. And it is not until Harrison, her best friend since she was twelve, laced her with some magic to help figure out who is killing the young ladies of Harrison's world.
Oh let me mention that Harrison is a witch, but in her world they are referred to as Magians. Yeah, a very predominate family in that world. And what does Callie have to offer you ask... Well she is a cop, in the human world. And she has this uncanny ability to detect when something or someone is just not right. She chalked it up to just her sixth sense... But what Callie would discover about herself as the story unfolds will blow you away.
Oh wait, I did mention something about brothers... Yeah, Harrison has some brothers. And man oh man, I want to be her best friend! Tucker and Tygher and Lorie. Although we don't get to know Lorie (I am hoping for his story one day... hint hint...) that well ~ really at all in this story... he is there. But this story is about Tucker and Tygher trying to team up (ha~ you will have to read why!) with Callie to go "Under (the sheets yeah) cover" to investigate the murders.
Things get hot and heavy and very wicked wild! Magians are destined to be a threesome... Do I have your attention... That is what is special about them. When they find their mates, they know they are destine to be together.
Callie has dreamed her whole (well almost whole) life of being with Tucker. But knowing the Magian laws, she knew that was close to zero chance of her being with him. Tygher is the one always picking on her, always! But she never thought of him in any other way, because he always picked on her and made fun of... and was basically kind a like the annoying baby brother one might fuss about. But what happens when these two have to actually team up to catch a killer? Will true feelings come out and can they bury the hatched and move on? Or will feelings come out that are too hard to contain?
Ms. Alexander created a magnificent world of magic and danger. The story pulled you in and you wanted to know more, had to know... needed to know more. Callie is a very strong and independent woman surrounded by men she adores and would give her life for. She has a best friend she can count on for absolutely anything and the love of a family that is not even her own. I definitely am looking forward to the next book!!! Oh yeah... I want Harrison to have her own story... but I want Lorie's story now... I am definitely intrigued to know more! Ms Alexander seems to be very good at that!!! Awesome job!

This is a freebie this week, and I love this short! It's got everything a good erotica should. It's light, the plot is easy to absorb and believable and, dang, if the heroes aren't super sexy. Callie is a foster child who lived next door to her best friend, Harrison. Harrison's family is a part of a secret world, one of Magian and magics and, of course, really hot threesomes. When a killer is targeting Magians, Callie goes "undercover" to help stop the evil before it spreads.
This is book one in a three-book series and while book two is a short as well (already downloaded it), book three is a bit longer. I'm hoping the author will continue writing about the Magians. If you're looking for a light quick read to make you blush, I'd pick up Wicked Sexy, book one in the Wicked 3 series.

Wow what a smoking hot book! Holy cow.. I thought that the Abbott family were great. I loved the brothers Tyghe and Tucker. There was more to them than I was lead to believe at first. Tucker is a sweetheart but also can be an animal and Tyghe was jerk because he secretly wanted Callie. The whole mystery murderer was simple and not drawn out or over the top. In fact I was kinda like "That's it?" Oh well. I really didn't care anyway. I will be reading the rest of this mini series asap.

What a hot hot read. I enjoyed this novella story of Magian magic and the triune. It was a very interesting plot line. I would reread again and look forward to the in this story line.

I came across this via Parajunkee’s View and was looking for a quick read with a little heat… this definitely had the heat! The cover is hot, the characters are hot, and the sex scenes will make you blush in the best way. I never expect much out of novellas as far as storyline and character development, but I was pleasantly surprised with this one.
I’ll be picking up the next in the series and checking out more by the author.

Yowzers! The cover sold me on this one - and I haven't look back since. Interesting concept combined with sexy male leads, innocent, yet feisty female heroine and a murder mystery all play out in an intriguing and nail-bitingly sexy romp.

I enjoyed this book, it was short but it created a great setting for future installments into this series. The characters were not as developed as I like - I would have liked to of gotten a little more in-depth look at them - but for a short story, the author did an extremely good job.
I love to read different authors and genres, and my first experience with this author was great. I have added this series to my must read list.

This was a hot short read. We have a group of Magians (witches), each with unique powers. They form a Triune (one woman and two men). Callie has always loved Tucker and Tyghe has always been a thorn in her side. She goes undercover to help solve the mystery surrounding attacks on other Magians, only Callie is a magian.
Things heat up and are not what they seem!
I'll definitely be checking out the others in this series.

This is the best paranormal erotica novella I've read. Most comes across as super cheesy to me but this one felt like like a believable story and the chemistry and attraction felt real and palpable rather than suspect. For once, there was a legitimate history between the characters and while it was clear that outside circumstances forced the sudden click it was more like a missing piece effortlessly shifting into place.

Great set up with the Magians living in the human world. And they have to form Triunes, with three mates together? Menage, wrapped up in magic, covered in a creamy chocolate sauce of YUM! The Abbot brothers come across as delicious and Callie is the lucky cheese in that sandwich! Keep it up!

wow como puede salvar lo insalvable con una mera excusa como esa al final. y luego el asesino tenia mas sentido que los protagonistas porque cuando dio su razón yo también sentí ganas de matar. Pero me gusto las escenas románticas porque tengo debilidad por las relaciones polígamas no porque sea una buena historia.

This novella is appropriately named. It is wicked sexy. Two hot brothers, one wicked trio. The writing flows well, and the story of Callie's discovery of who she is as she claims a fantasy she's had her entire life is engaging and titilating.

I think this was a great story. It was short but it had some action and some super sexy scenes. I LOVED the way it ended. I was looking for a 3rd in the series but I guess I am just going to have to look for more by Alexander.

I thought this book was ok, I loved the idea of the storyline and the characters. However I thought the book itself was far too short and it needed more of an introduction to the characters and what was going on at the beginning.

A quick read and very sexy. The chemistry between Tyghe, Callie and Tucker was great.
I hate when people say "I wish it was longer" because, hello, you know a novella is short. But in this case I wish it was longer because I liked it so much!

It was a good book for what it was but I would have appreciated a bit more action to the plot. A fight scene might have been nice, as well as a close call for Callie.

A different twist to menage and paranormal! The brothers in this book are droop worthy and the sex scenes are HOT. Be ready to enjoy the quick story with a bit of a twist!
