Kitty is a superhero-in-training with feline superpowers. She dreams of being just like her superhero mum one day, but she's still got a lot to learn. Join her for a series of enchanting adventures by the light of the moon. In Kitty and the Runaway Train, a famous steam train, the Red Rocket, is visiting Hallam City, but when it starts moving along the track with Pumpkin the kitten on board, Kitty must use her superpowers and race to catch the runaway train.
This is a fun adventure for young readers just getting into chapter books. I loved the bold and magical illustrations! I didn't realise I had picked up the 12th book in the series without reading the others. It was easy to follow if you end up doing the same. The magical looking train caught me eye!
This book was very good.I found the two kittens very silly for pressing the go button however it was very good that one of them was able to help Kitty reverse the train back to the station. And I really liked how Kitty was able to get some tickets just because of her hard work.😀

Kitty is a superhero (in training) and along with her faithful sidekick Pumpkin the kitten (every superhero in training or otherwise needs a sidekick) she is always ready to swoop into action! In this twelfth book we are treated to another beautiful two colour illustrated story full of pizazz. Short chapters help newly emerging readers and plenty of action keeps the story speeding along.
Speaking of speeding in this latest adventure Kitty is on the lookout for a runaway train and more besides.
The Red Rocket has steamed into town but with its arrival a treasured possession goes missing can Kitty and Pumpkin solve the mystery or will Kitty have her paws full chasing after Pumpkin stranded on the runaway train?
