I liked this story very much I just wished that it was longer Sebastian gets a task from the Wolf Council to check out an Alpha named Rodrick. It seems that there are reports Rodrick is holding a human captive, which is not only illegal, but against pack law. Sebastian goes to check it out, meeting with Alpha Rodrick and claiming he's a Delta looking for a new pack. Before he could react, he's knocked unconscious and chained up in a shed with the captive human. It turns out the human, Dobry, is his mate. Alastar is a vampire in a nearby coven. One of the leaders of the coven was requested by Alpha Rodrick to come meet Rodrick for a business deal, and the leader sent Alastar in his stead. Rodrick feigns offense that the leader didn't show up personally, and Alastar takes offense at the way the Rodrick looks down upon vampires. Alastar abruptly leaves, and very quickly Rodrick has his men pursuing Alastar. Alastar quickly ditches the men since a werewolf would have to shift to match the speed of a vampire, but before he leaves, he smells an intoxicating alluring scent, and realizes his mate is nearby. Sneaking back, he sniffs his way to the shed, where he breaks open the lock and finds Sebastian and Dobry, both his mates. I liked how they were able get past the prejudice that Dobry has against Sebastian being a werewolf and Sebastian has against Alastar for being a vampire and learn to trust and love each other this is a good series.

This second volume is more about the relationship between the next pairing (which I liked), but with enough mystery as to what else is happening to keep the overall story going and interesting.

"Rogue Alphas" seem to be the theme for this series just as much as the "new" delta type wolf. I thought that adding a human and a vampire into the mix made the story more interesting as well. All species are represeted, so to speak, and there are some more relationship elements that the authors can "play" with.

I have a thing for reading quick and easy books you just can't take seriously. Unfortunately, this one had some big editing and plot issues that just couldn't be ignored.

There was a couple times I'm positive the names where wrong like when they first started the mind-speech Matt suddenly pops into there conversation via a link. Pretty sure it was suppose to be Dobry's line, but can't really be positive.

Also the idea that Alastar knew about his mates before he smelled them in the shed didn't make any sense to me. There is no explanation, so that left me a little confused.

Either way, Dobry was cute, he got over being raped repeatedly by wolves pretty fast though.

So maybe the story isn't plausible and the plot was a little off and there were some editing problem. Fortunately, with this type of book that's okay. It's a fun little story and I love the idea of Delta wolves so I liked it well enough.

Oh, but did I stop with book 1? Noooooo. I had to press on and have that second cupcake that was whispering seductively in my ear. If I thought the other one was confusing at the end, this one started much sooner.

I think if it hadn't been a case of magical healing shifter cock, I might have been less annoyed. Little Dobry (who kept wanting to call Dobby and had visions of a house-elf) was starved, raped and beaten for 6 weeks, is terrified of the idea of sex, but within 18 (maybe) hours of his escape (with his mates of course), they're in a torrid adrenalin fueled three-way with the guy having multiple orgasms. And he's human so you can't blame it on being a wolf. What happened to "we'll take it slow baby". Slow meaning we'll wait 4 hours instead of 4 minutes? What about him being starved and beaten so badly? Maybe let the guy recover for a day or two first?

And again, it was explained to Dobby Dobry what a Delta wolf was, then it clearly says "Alastar wrapped his arms around Dobry and held him as they watched Sebastian and Zac transform into werewolves and then fade away until they couldn’t see anything." on page 77, then on page 89 "“I’m going to shift and show you, okay? It’s just me, so don’t be scared.”" Why would he be scared, he saw you do the same damn thing about 8 hours ago in the woods. Did the authors forget they wrote that other scene?

And a big deal in book 1 was that Matt was a whizzbang cook. In this book he claims to be unable to cook anything at all and is thrilled that Dobry can make cinnamon rolls. I wonder if Dobry will claim to be unable to cook at all in Book 3 and the new tiny mate will be the mad chef. Does being a mate make you lose your memory.

Okay, I needed those cupcakes, but I probably should have stopped after 1 before the queasy feeling set in. I just get very frustrated when things happen and authors choose to just ignore it 10 or 20 pages later and pretend it never happened and do something contradictory.

Second book in this new series is as interesting as the first one. I liked the story very much and I already can't wait for the next volume, because this one has left a few rather important (at least to me) questions unanswered.

The idea of Delta wolves is brilliant and I hope it will lead to more great books with a touch of danger and mystery.

What left me a little confused though are some mix-ups along the storyline.

First, when Sebastian, Dobry and Alastar discover that they can communicate telepathicaly, after Sebastian's and Alastar's lines in their minds, there's suddenly Matt's line in their conversation. Wasn't it supposed to be Dobry's line?
And second.
In the episode where Dobry talks with Matt, Matt suddenly admits none of them (Zac, Aidan or Matt himself) in the new Delta pack can cook, while in the first book Chameleon Wolf he could cook quite good. What happened to Matt's cooking skills??

In previous Stormy Glenn's works characters from previous books appear in later books, and the author did a great job of not confusing anything before.

I'm all for insta-love. I believe that fated mates should be a separate genre in itself. But that's when its done right. Mating games unfortunately wasn't done right.

The premise had promise of a lot of angst and inner turmoil. But all their conflicts go away with just a conversation??? And I felt 75% of the book was the introductory part and 25% of it was the climax.

The author seemed insistent in not letting us forget the plight of the Delta wolves. Not much background was written for Alaster. He almost seemed like an after thought except in the sex scenes.

There was so much more the author could have focused on. But no, instead the author gives a good plot that was never really brought to its potential.

This was a very interesting and entertaining story, however, some of it was so sad and difficult to read about (Dorby's captivity). I enjoyed the three mates, Sebastian (Delta wolf), Alastar (vampire), and Dorby (human) and how they were able to overcome their specific prejudices and learn to accept and love each other. Their relationship was so sweet and Dorby was adorable. Other than what had happened to Dorby, I loved it.

I am still on the snack re-read binge. This time the Delta Wolves small series. Interesting idea, a basic plot, and character development - lots of sex. Not much thinking is needed and not worrying about holes in the plot helps - kind of like eating a candy bar. Fills the moment.

I don't think the Delta wolf series as a whole is written very well. The first 12 pages of book 1 and 2 are more like a listed description of whats what, "Deltas do this and this. Sebastian lives here. He lives here because." reminding you about the first book and what not. Then, it just gets too serious too sudden.

Not only does an 'experienced' delta muck up within ten minutes of scoping out a 'rogue alpha' but poor, abused Dorby (who manages to lose his rough polish speech pattern within a night of knowing his two new mates) is having sex with said mates when only a half hour earlier (story time) he's hung up about getting a blow job and is still so unsure about being intimate with someone after getting abused. He doesn't even show the slightest hesitation after being grabbed by the mate who promised to never hurt him and thrown to a bed to do the deed. What a dramatic transformation. When he left his cage in the shed, he freaked and scampered away after sebastian tried to touch the nape of his neck to deepen a kiss. He professes to never being able to be intimate with somebody to entering a threesome only hours later.

The development of the relationships are rushed and it's a shame because the plot from the delta wolf series had brilliant potential. Like most stories, it's been rushed and therefore ruined.

I really liked this one and all, but things moved kind of fast, and considering all of their pasts, their actions didn't make sense.

For example, Dopry has been beaten and sexually abused for six weeks by Alpha werewolf and his Betas. After something like that, it should take years to overcome the fears such treatment certainly has risen, be they for the Alpha, werewolfs or sex itself, but still in this book Dopry starts having sex with his mates in 24 hours after he met them, even though he was afraid to even be touched. Still suddenly the touching was fine and he was fine with having sex with his mates.

I understand that the bond between mates is something else, and that it conquers all, but I still think that in this book, the chance in Dopry's opinions and actions was too quick and sudden.

There were other times also, that bothered me when things didn't work or go logically.
(Only in my opinion!)

Still this book was good and I enjoyed reading it.

'Bout the same as all her other books. Good and bad. World-building is pretty much non-existent, character growth is the same and plot? What plot? I did like the characters, mostly, and I did like the mystery about their situation. Of course that mystery lasted about five seconds but still...it was enjoyable while it did. But, seriously, the plot. Where was it? In fact, how can someone who was abused/raped/tortured for six weeks trust two strange men in less than a day? How can he let himself be approached by them? Let alone sexually? I don't get it. I like a happy ending about as much as anyone else but insta-love and insta-trust do not work for me. In fact, they pretty much detract from the relationship. How can you value a relationship based simply on lust/fate or whatever? They didn't struggle to get together at all. All their supposed hardships were solved almost instantly. How can you connect with characters who have everything just handed to them by fate? You can't.

I can't vote more than 2 stars for this one.

Completely unrealistic reaction of Dobry part about the consequence of the rape. He is traumatized after being captured and abused for six weeks but only a few hours after being liberated he have sex with his mates. I'm tired that this writer use this trick each time one of her perso was raped. Good sex don't heal a victim. Therapy do that.

The exact same plot was used in the first book of this series, when the Alpha said that he had Matt and Dobry captured and it's a lie. The alpha in the other book did said that he had captured Zac and it's was a lie too.

And the plot was so-so.

I liked this story but it felt too rushed. After all Dobry went through it seemed wrong, at least to me, how quickly and easily he accepted his mates and his new life. Despite that it was an entertaining story.

I usually don't mind when there books make little sense but in this case Dobry's backstory was just absurd (also, "Dobry" isn't a Polish name - it's not a name at all, it's just an adjective that means "good").
