And now that truths from his past are surfacing he decides to take the same approach with her. Yet his heart and body hunger for something only she can satisfy. And he intends to have her...
However evidence that link him to a murder that was covered up by his family becomes revealed. Will Quay and Ty be able to ultimately put the past behind them OR will old troubles hender them?!?

Thoughts
Book 2 was just as passionate as the first. The story continues and we get a nice amount of Quest and Mick too. The twist and turns are good as well and they are delivered at full shock volume.
Quay-Was still his usual sexy self. YUM! But we also get to see every side of him ranging from sweet and caring to mean and calculating. We also get a glimpse of his thunderous temper. Quay's love for Ty was his saving grace those two sizzle when in the same room.
Tykira-Was his perfect match they balance eachother out for sure. Ty was successful all on her own and she knew her own strengths. Her only weakness was Q, and boy did he use that to his advantage.

My Ratings
Characters- Lovable and Witty
Writing Style- Good
Plot/Storyline- Strategic, Suspenseful and Holds your Attention
Steam Factor- High/Very Steamy
Overall- I Enjoyed it!!!

A lover's Pretense takes off where A lover's Dream lifted off and let me tell you if you thought Mick and Quest love story was hot! well let me tell you his twin Quay will knock you down. the things someone will do to protect the one you love for years. this story for me is a redemption love story. a story of if you love them let them go and in Quay's case he felt he had no choice but honey if he only knew that Ms Ty is a strong woman in her own right the only weakness was him! lol the stuff they went though can only make a relationship stronger! watch out though because there is some serious hating on them. again mean people... all I can say is check it out for yourself. trust it will keep to on your toes! :)

After reading the first book in the Ramsey series, I knew that I would be in for a treat with the second book. Quay and Tyrika's love story was quite different from Quest and Mick's as it was a love that began in childhood. The fact that these two loved and lost each other was beautiful.Although Quay was seen as a playboy in the first book, I got to see beyond that into the heart of a man that loved a woman so much that he pushed her away to protect her. I loved the fact that this story dove into second chances and following your heart.

The women in this story are so resilient and successful in their own rite as well. I was impressed by Tyrika's ability to own her sexuality but listen to her heart as well. I think it is amazing that as beautiful as she was, her heart and body only belonged to one man, despite the years that had passed and the pain that she endured during their time apart. It was equally impressive that Quay wasted no time in committing the rest of his life to her once she came back in his life. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

Totally Captivating

I am definitely CAUGHT UP in this series! Ms. Washington has once again created another page-turner with “A Lover’s Pretense”. The Ramsey men are once again quite a MEMORABLE treat. Quaysar and Tykira can’t control the INTENSE sparks that are still simmering when they meet again after so many years apart. Quay is handsome, cocky, and quite the charmer, but he is also EXTREMELY loving and protective towards the women in his life (his mother, Tykira, and Mick). And despite his MANY flaws Ty knows in her heart that he is the ONLY man she’ll ever love. But will his dark and mysterious past continue to get in the way of their chance at a happily-ever-after?!! You will be totally captivated by the mystery and romance in book two of this intriguing series.

This was a great ready. I loved the story of Quaysar and Tykira. He is definitely different from his brother Quest. I was frustrated with him because he was pushing Ty away to protector her due to women he was involved with were getting killed. But their love for each other since being kids was so strong. I was in love the whole read. Whew can’t wait to read the rest of the series to see what happens to Houston and Marcus 😮.

Quaysar and Tykira are just as hot as Michaela and Quest. The mystery of who murdered Sera is closer to being solved and Quay has to decide if it's better to have Ty close to him for protection or send her away.

Eh.. I didn't feel it with these two. I mean, after 13 yrs and you STILL love this guy. Just didn't seem realistic to me. I only liked this book because of the continuation of Quest and Mick's storyline because Tykira seems weak to me.

I'm totally hooked on these Ramsey's. The stories just keep wetting better and better, and Quay and Ty did not disappoint. I love that the story is just not only about these two, but we get to keep up with the entire family. The mystery is finally solved which is shocking and unexpected, but what a great twist. Can't wait to read about the bleach sheep Fernando....should be a good read.
