When Chloe sets her eyes on Ramsey Westmoreland she knows she has to have him... for her magazine that is. Chloe's best friend explains that there is no way Ramsey would ever do a feature for her magazine, but Chloe won't take no for an answer. She decides to ride out to the Westmoreland ranch and meet with Ramsey personally, but when she arrives Ramsey mistakes her for the temporary cook he was expecting. Seeing an opportunity in the mix up, Chloe sets herself up as Ramsey's cook for a two week period. Hopefully, she will be able to convince him to do the spread for her magazine. But, things get out of hand in a hurry and Chloe and Ramsey find they are having a really hard time keeping their hands to themselves.
I enjoyed this quick light contemporary romance. The beginning was great and the ending was also really good, but the middle of book got a little stuck at times. Chloe allowed her deception to go on way too long, but her presence in Ramsey's home made him realize what he was missing by being in a committed relationship. Enjoyable enough that I will check into the other books in this series. This one gets 3 stars.
EHH que digo, el libro es facil de leer, una lectura muy light pero hay sexo en todas las pososciones, no es que sea mojigata pero no era el lugar para leerlo
Chole is the owner of a magazine company and Ramsey owns a sheep ranch. Chole spotted Ramsey on the street one day and wants him for an interview and to pose for the cover of her magazine, but Ramsey had already said no. So, Chole decides to pay him a visit at his home and he mistakes her for the cook he hired from the temporary agency. Not giving her time to explain who she was, he just blamed her for being late, giving her his expectations and took off. He didn’t even ask her name. Deciding this would be a good opportunity to help him out with feeding his crew and in turn, she could get Ramsey to do the article. But instead, things got sexually heated. These two had a deep magnifying passion. As they say, a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach and although Chole could cook her butt off, it was more than food that put these two together.
Ramsey had not been with a woman for quite a while and wasn’t intending to start now, so he was a bit grouchy, but he had an attraction for Chole that was uncontrollable. When he found out who she really was and not the cook he hired from the agency, all hell broke loose and he felt betrayed, but in all honesty, she tried to tell him twice who she was and each time, he blew her off. But the love he had for her, could not keep him away. This was a sweet love story with a happily ever after. I enjoyed this book. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.
Cast: • Marshun Cooper As Ramsey • Khadeen Ellis As Chole
Ramsey Westmoreland is in desperate need of a cook and assumes that the woman who shows up is his hired help. Ramsey, just like Dillon, took on the responsibility of raising his younger siblings when their parents died. But Ramsey is having all kinds of thoughts about his cook. It gets more and and more difficult as the day passes. His employees along with his family takes notice of how attracted he is to the cook.
Chloe Burton has her own reasons for allowing Ramsey to believe she is his new hired cook. Things get hot and heavy between them and becomes very serious. But when the truth comes out about who she is things get rocky.
But the heart wants what the heart wants. When a Westmoreland finds real love it's the real thing
I enjoyed this story. It had a decent plot and both characters were likable. Chloe Burton is the owner of a magazine and is looking for a hunk for the cover of their special edition of next month's magazine. She's having lunch with the editor of the magazine when she sees Ramsey Westmoreland on the street speaking with someone and immediately knows he's the right man for the cover. He turns down the chance when it is offered by the editor but Chloe feels if she can speak with him person to person she can convince him to do it. When Chloe drives to his ranch to speak with Ramsey that's when the misconceptions and the temptations begin. Will their relationship be able to overcome and survive the deception? Read it and find out.
3 stars. The whole hidden identity thing went on until the end of the book and that was annoying as hell. I also didn’t like the heroine, Chloe. She was strange and I didn’t like that she took no accountability and felt no type of way about lying to Ramsey for so long. Ramsey Westmoreland on the other hand was everything. I loved him. He was such a sexy grump of a man and I thought he was the best part of this book.
Everything wrapped up in the end a bit too quickly for me and I didn’t like the romance because of the whole lying thing. Overall this was fine. Not a favorite unfortunately.
Standard category romance. Instalust. Not much development of romance or characters. This story does what it is intended to do though. It's a short, steamy romance when you are in the mood for something light. This was shaping up to be a 4 star category romance but I felt like the FMC should have been the one apologizing more at the end. Her lie went on way too long. I didn't like how the situation flipped and, somehow, the MMC was the one in the wrong for being mad at her deceit. He never lied to her and she had been lying since the moment they met.

Can't believe I forgot to log Ramsey's story. I am almost 99% sure I've read this before. Maybe when I was at grandma's for a holiday; she would always have a box of romance books, i think she got them from a second hand place and would return them when she'd read all the ones she wanted. But yeah, this story wasn't anything new or exciting. It was certainly sweet enough to read all the way through. Chloe and ramsey had oodles of chemistry and i loved the passion.
I love Brenda Jackson’s Westmoreland series. All of the books are entertaining and easy to read-plus you can feel the characters’ chemistry as if you were watching them on a stage or movie screen. I want more!
The story was good, but what I liked most about this book is how characters from previous books were talked about and/or appeared in the book too. Some old plots rehashed to help remember their stories and hints at new plots that I’m sure will appear in future books in the series.
I liked it, really liked that neither was hung up on someone else or constantly thought about past relationships. I liked that hero wasn't a manwhore and I liked that heroine didn't have a lot of exes. P.
(audiobook) I really liked this one. The readers voice is absolutely perfect. The Westmorelands are black "cowboys" and they are really growing on me. This is the second book I've listed to from this series and I need to take a trip out west. Ha!
Chloe got herself in quite a predicament when she showed up at Ramsey's ranch. Their attraction was instant. Her plans quickly got pushed to the side. This was a great story. Really enjoyed this book.
A typical romance. So if you're just in the mood for all romance book with no other elements, then this is for you. No torturous situation. Love to see the black community represent it in a positive way.

This is not the sort of book I would usually pick up but I was on holiday and I had run out of books to read. This book had been left at a free little library so I picked it up, and I am happy to say I am very glad that I did. Going into this book I was not expecting much of a plot; I thought it would be all about lust and romance, so I was surprised that the story was actually really well-rounded and written. While there were a lot of saucy scenes, the story itself would have worked with or without these elements which was something that I really enjoyed about this book. Another thing about this book that surprised me was that the characters were really well-written and relatable. Yes, a lot of time was spent describing and focusing on their appearances; which I had expected, but there was also a fair amount of focus on their backstories and personalities. Each of the main characters in this book had their own voice and feel which made for a really nice reading experience. Brenda Jackson has done a great job with this little book. It was well-written, easy to read, and had everything you hope it will have and so much more. I am very glad that I decided to read this book and I will not hesitate to read it again in the future. Hot Westmoreland Nights by Brenda Jackson is a quick and surprising read.
Chloe Burnett local sheep rancher Ramsey Westmoreland and decides she wants him on the cover of her magazine. He's not going for it. She shows up at his ranch to convince him and he mistakes her for the cook some agency was sending over and sets her to work before she can explain and then takes off. She decides she'll help him out so that he'll owe her for not leaving him in a bind. She ends up sticking around for a while, cooking and bringing sunshine into the house, all the while intending to tell him the truth, but as she falls in love with him it becomes harder. Ramsey still thinks she's the cook and is falling in love with her too. As her last day approaches, he's ready to tell her he wants more, when he finds out who she really is and what she WAS about.
This was a pretty good installment of the Westmorelands. I've read them all out of order and can't keep any of them straight. I picked this one up because Chloe and Ram's story was mentioned in Gemma's story and it sounded intriguing. I'd expected a lot more drama than there was given the recount in Gemma's story. The chemistry between Ramsey and Chloe was awesome. The tension builds up and then explodes. The secret took a long time to come out and Ramsey's reaction, I thought, was reasonable for an initial reaction, The ending felt rather rushed, especially given that she announces her pregnancy, he's super happy and they kiss and it's done. It needed a bit more...like an apology from Chloe as well. She's the one who lied and it's Ram who shows up on her door apologizing.

This is one my favorite paperback romance lines and Jackson's latest title in her popular Westmoreland series doesn't disappoint. Wealthy Colorado rancher Ramsey Westmoreland has never had much use for women the way his more womanizing siblings and cousins have. Still, there's something about his new cook that Ram just can't resist. Chloe Burton owns a successful women's magazine that's recently gone national. When she spies Ramsey Westmoreland on a business trip to Denver, she must have him on the cover of her annual "simply irresistible" issue. But through a misunderstanding, she's now cooking breakfast and lunch for his hungry ranch hands. Before she knows it, she's also carrying on a passionate affair with the boss. When her real reason for being at the ranch is discovered, will their love survive?
While the makeup of the Westmoreland Family that allows Jackson to write so many stories in this series is ridiculous, our hero and heroine are realistically portrayed. Both have scars in their pasts that keep them from fully trusting each other and the way these scars are dealt with as they're revealed is thoughtful and rewarding. I know supermarket series like these get a bad rap, but I think the shorter length keeps the plot from getting too convoluted, and so when you get a solid author like Jackson, these are quick enjoyable reads.
I have to take issue with your title Ms Jackson. It is very misleading. Ramsey Westmoreland is a Westmoreland true to form. He is hot 24/7 --- not just at night! Some of his best "work" was during the daylight hours! OMG!!!!
Another installment from the Denver Westmorelands. Ramsey is the strong silent type. I don't care! It didn't diminish his sexiness one bit! In fact, I think it only proved to enhance his character. Ramsey is no frills and all about business trying to run his thriving sheep ranch. All is going pretty routine in his life until a beautiful multi-talented magazine owner shows up on his door step. Chloe Burton is pretty confident that she is going to be able to convince him to pose for her cover. Boy is she totally wrong! Immediately, she is mesmerized by his handsome looks and deep somber disposition. Soon she learns that behind that serious facade is a passionate man waiting to be unleashed. When that passion is unleashed it is more than the two of them bargained for. Whew, it is getting hot in here!
Ramsey and Chloe wow i love them Brenda Jackson does not disappoint with the continuing of the Westmoreland stories. I love to hate her Brenda when she does these teasers and I mean that statement in a good way. I cant wait for Chole's best friend story with Ramsey's brother or Ramsey's HOT Australian Friend and his sister these were such teasers for me through out the book not to take away from Ramsey's and Chloe's story.

This was cute. I love the Westmoreland family, they make me feel good. And when those men fall...they fall hard. I have been away from the series for a while, and I read this book out of order, but it reinvigorated me into getting back into the series. There are just so many of those darn Westmorelands, I don't know if I'll ever catch up! LOL
Seriously though, I loved Ramsey. He seemed so old beyond his years, but that was likely due to the fact that he had to step in as parent when his own parents died. I really enjoyed watching him try and fail not to fall in love with Chloe. LOL
Brenda Jackson has a great formula for writing and she never fails to get me involved in the story. I just love reading her books.
Hot Westmoreland Nights. This was a good read! Ramsey Westmoreland is a sheep rancher now and is in need of a cook while his normal cook takes some time off. When Chloe shows up, Ramsey thinks that she is the cook sent by the agency and puts her to work immediately. He didn't know she wasn't the cook but a reporter coming to ask him to be in her magazine. Chloe decides to stay and cook for him and his crew hoping to score points in getting him in the magazine. Things get heated and tense and an affair rises. But when its time to tell the truth, things go a little south and anger sets in to Ramsey because of the lie Chloe told. Can they find their way back to being lovers or will Ramsey keep the anger against Chloe even though he loves her.? Must read!
Chloe Burton doesn't set out to deceive Ramsey Westmoreland but she takes advantage of the situation when he mistakes her for his replacement cook. She really wants the opportunity to convince him to pose for her magazine Simply Irresistable. The two strike incendiary sparks immediately and they just get hotter. Desires are short, sexy and to the point and this hit all the high notes. I didn't really like Chloe initially but she grew on me and I really liked the supporting cast - not his family but his employees. If I hadn't picked this up at RT I wouldn't have read it and I'm glad I did.
Ramsey Westmoreland is not only a very private a stubborn sheep rancher, he is also very passionate when it comes to who and what he wants...A Westmoreland trait that they all possess. However, when he meets the owner of Simply Irresistible Magazine, he is in for a rude awakening while she pretends to be the temporary cook for two weeks while Nellie is away on a family emergency. Not only does she win the hearts of his men and family, she won his over big time, even forcing him to get over a little "white lie"! Awesome read and another great love story in the Westmoreland series.
The Denver Westmorelands are showing some uncanny resemblance to the Atlanta Westmorelands. The men exude traits women dream about. This series revitalizes fantasies about men of color and how they manage life's responsibilities when their spirits h ave been nurtured. Disappointments come but love conquers all and in Hot Westmoreland Nights Chloe Burton helps Ramsey Westmoreland to accept that realization for himself. The Westmorelands is refreshing and new. There is nothing not to like.
