In Stud Princess the sequel to My Secrets Your Lies author N’tyse lives up to her moniker while thrusting readers back into the lives of Sand and Rene. Although the ladies parted ways the feelings that they have for each haven’t disappeared. That concern that they share for one another have placed both Sand and Rene at the mercy of the manipulative Chyna. Chyna is blackmailing both ladies into working for her within her criminal organization with promises of not bringing harm to the other. Neither Sand nor Rene is aware of the fact that they are both being conned by the same scheme especially since they haven’t had any contact with each other.

The novel effortlessly revolves around Chyna who’s running her prostitution and drug rings with an iron fist. Chyna is definitely about her paper but her biggest motivating factor is getting revenge on Rene’s ex-employer Albrey, who she holds responsible for her uncle’s incarceration. Chyna who only had a minor role in My Secret Your Lies shines under the spotlight as the antagonist and focal point of Stud Princess. Reading the first installment of the saga isn’t even necessary as N’tyse easily weaves the characters back story into Stud Princess without readers feeling as if the entire first book is being rehashed.

With Stud Princess N’tyse effectively provides readers with a sequel that doesn’t have that stagnant sequel feel. By allowing the book to center around a new character N’tyse essentially gives readers a new story that contains updates on characters that they grew attached to in the first story. N’tyse also introduces several new characters such as Illusion and Ty, two prostitutes that are desperately trying to flee from Chyna’s prostitution ring. The problem is that Chyna isn’t in the business of taking losses a lesson that Illusion, Ty, sand & Rene will all have to find out.

What did you like best about the book?
With so many sequels flooding the urban book market it was refreshing to read sequel that really wasn’t a sequel.

What did you dislike about the book?
The book ending had too much of a happily ever after feel.

How could the author improve this book?
The author should take note that if everything wraps up too nicely it tends to give the book an unrealistic feel.

N’Tyse’s infamous queen-pin Chyna, is back, and this time she's bringing the entourage. While still on a murder mission hunt for the crooked lawyer that double-crossed her uncle, the latest addition to the family brings her one step closer to that sweet revenge. This ruthless vixen owns the day and the night. Mother Nature herself can't interrupt her cash flow. But when bad calls are made and her chief female "escort" goes missing, it's time to set things off.
Sand and Rene can admit that they haven't always been honest with one another. With all the secrets and lies it’s hard to say if they can ever trust each other again. But are they ready to forgive and forget when their lives are on the line? When they each find themselves being blackmailed into working for Chyna, it's no coincidence. They go against the grain to prove their love for one another, bearing in mind whose turf they're treading on. An unrelenting thirst for notorious revenge has Chyna, Sand, and Rene, riding out, hanging low, and staking out their highest claims yet.
Stud Princess Notorious Vendettas, follows the journey of Sand and Rene, (My Secrets Your Lies), and answers the questions many N’Tyse fans have longed for. This book explores sexuality, identity, and taboo subjects through an in-your-face urban setting. It provides a controversial outlook into today’s society, and stimulates conversations long after. This is an urban drama experience you don’t want to be left out on.
N’Tyse’s writing style has garnered critical acclaim from avid literary reviewers and reading groups from across the country. Her debut novel, My Secrets Your Lies, has gone on to grace many bestsellers lists, including the Dallas Morning News.

The Aftermath

I read `My Secrets Your Lies' in 2007. Try as I might, I cannot recall anything about the story, aside from the main characters' names. When I opened `Stud Princess Notorious Vendettas' I was happy to see she'd included a refresher, but it honestly did absolutely nothing for me as I struggled to figure out exactly what was going on.

Deja is busy running Sandrenee's, Sand's club, while Sand is M.I.A. In between booking acts and making sure the business is running, Deja finds time to follow Renee, hoping to get a lead on where Sand could be hold up.

Renee is literally making herself sick, desperate to find Sand and work things out. After everything that's happened, all she wants is a chance to apologize. She's no longer confused; Sand is the only person she loves.

Chyna's all about exacting revenge, manipulating the odds and holding all of the cards. She has Sand cornered and Renee willing to do whatever she wants. She plans to exploit their love to get precisely what she wants.

Plot heavy, secrets revealed with lives forever changed, `Stud Princess Notorious Vendettas' by N`Tyse is an intricate story. Character and detail heavy, I felt as though I was chasing the story as I kept asking, `But why?' There is no denying, N'Tyse can weave some drama. In my opinion, the story is just a little too underdeveloped, and while it ties up in the end, I still feel as if a lot was unsaid.

To start with I didn't know this book was the sequel to My Secret Your Lies. A book I own but I haven't read yet and I still didn't have a problem following along with this book. I think it could have been a stand alone.

I'm having a hard time with a review because while the book wasn't bad, nothing stood out much either. Most books the men are the ones who are the pimps but in this one Chyna has her own stable of women. You know what I haven't read? Female pimps with male escorts! Or since it had studs, pimp them out to women. But I don't think studs are going to let a woman beat them down because they didn't make money or because they actually had a thought for themselves. But still, it would be an interesting read lol.

This book reminded me of another book with a female pimp but the name escapes me. The synopsis pretty much tells it all and there's the rub. Nothing really had me guessing what would happen, there were not a lot of twist and turns.

The book contains murder, cutting up a man's real pride and joy, a beatdown with a high heel shoe and of course there will be f/f sex...there are studs involved.

STUD PRINCESS IS A FAST MOVING NOVEL ABOUT THE DANGEROUS WORLD OF DRUGS, PROSTITUTION, MURDER AND HOPLESSNESS. ONE OF THE PRIMARY CHARACTERS IS A STUD NAMED CHYNA. CHYNA IS A PIMP WHO IS DEEP IN THE DRUG TRADE. SHE IS AS RUTHLESS AS SHE IS SUCCESSFUL ATTHER CRAFT. THERE ARE A HOST OF OTHER CHARACTERS IN THIS NOVEL TO FALL IN LOVE WITH INCLUDING THE BEAUTIFUL, CAPAVATING SAND, YOUNG TY DEALING WITH THE AFTERMATHS OF TRAUMA, LOVE STRUCK DEJA, STRONG WILLED, TOUGH ILLUSION AND LADY RENEE. THIS BOOK HELD MY INTEREST FROM BEGINNING TO END. IF YOU ENJOY GRITTY URBAN NOVELS THEN STUD PRINCESS IS A GOOD CHOICE. FLIP THE PAGES AND HOLD ON TIGHT BECAUSE CHYNA IS ON A RAMPAGE AND OUT FOR REVENGE.

This is the sequel to My Secrets Your Lies and it is hot like fire!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chyna is someone that if you don't have to, you don't want to deal with her! She is in charge of an high-end escort service that provide various services including drugs and protection but if you get on her bad side, who can protect you? No one!

Sand has to work for/with Chyna to gain her freedom back and to keep Rene safe but is it all worth it with the things that she has to do? Chyna thought she was the baddest but when backed into a corner, Sand gives her a run for her money!

This is a keep-your-mind open type of book as it deal with lesiban relationships but it is such an interesting read that sexual orientaion doesn't even matter.

Great book, keep up the good work!

Where do I begin? In the beginning, it started off a semi-page turner. Mainly because I was trying to figure out how the book was directly related to the prequel and what was going on with Rene and Sand. After awhile, I realized this was NOTHING like the sequel and seemed unrelated. The only thing related was that the same characters were in the book, however the main focus was on Chyna, who really didn't seem that important in the prequel. I couldn't wait to finish this book. I actually started skipping pages. Especially during all the sex scenes. I am so glad to be done with this book.

A Never Reality

What can I say? N'Tyse does it again! Chyna's back and she's bringing more drama with her. Looks like she's in for an adventurous ride of her own. Sand has had time to think and get on top of her own game. With so much at stake, Sand plans for a little revenge of her own. Who will be left standing in the end?

All praise to N'Tyse for not losing the readers in 'Stud Princess: Notorious Vendettas.'
Good read!

N'Tyse can write her butt off! although the book started off slow in my opinion I never wanted to give up on it. I knew she would bring the heat and she did. Personally, I fell in love with Sand and Renee in part one of this story so I was expecting to get alot more of them but was sadly disappointed. I give this book a 3.5 star ONLY because it took a while to pick up. The editing and storyline was what I expected from this talented author and I will continue to buy and read her work!

After reading 'My Secrets Your Lies', I knew I had to read the sequel. The author did not disappoint. I could not stop reading because it was so good. As my grandma used to say, 'All the bad things you did in your life and to others will come back to you' and Chyna gets her due rewards. THANK GOD!! I hope there is a 3rd book about Rene and Sand as they work to re-build their lives, but I think it should be about Deja, because this girl needs love too!

Once again N'TYSE came with it in book 2 hoping there is a book 3 to tie up some loose ends about Rene & Sand and Ilusion & Trent. Without reservation I recommend this book!!
